She was a city girl, in love with the American promise and flirting. She was close with her parents, but as she grew into adolescence, her behavior caused her parents concern and she confided in them less and less. Obery was on her way to becoming a New York journalist before her untimely death; it was her cousins who carried her family name.
Personality: Giggly and flirty, a little airheaded. She is infatuated with the lovely aspects of life and the city, finds fascination in the smallest things.

Ava had gotten a text earlier in the day regarding a commission for a portrait. Hyper realistic, she requested. Some old 1900s person or whatnot, maybe a picture the lady found off Google.
It was a rainy day. Most every day had been nice so far until now.

Ava sat on a stool, sketching the outline of a face. Earlier, she'd gotten a text, some lady wanted to commission her for a portrait. "Hyper realistic," she'd mentioned. "An old 1900s person, perhaps a picture I found of google which I'll link below," she wrote. Ava looked up at the window, gazing at the sky. Today was a rainy day. For the past couple of days, the sun had beat down on the windows. Now the rain poured down heavily.
