Malachi didn’t seem to quite believe him. A few seconds ago, he believed there were other planets with life on them. He wasn’t very good with being assertive though, so he decided not to argue. “Okay… if you say so,” he said. The half breed stood there, not really knowing what else to say. He could start walking, but that also seemed quite rude. Even if he was a stranger, he felt bad being disrespectful. Especially with how his life had gone.
Aston rubbed at the back of his neck. He didn't know what to do for the first time in his life. They'd always been a plan. Somewhere to go, something to do, someone to see. But now? He couldn't get home right now, the jump had taken too much out of him for him to even try. He was stuck here for the time being, "Is there anywhere around here where I can sit down? Or lie down?"
(I AM SO SORRY. I had a lot of things to do and was off notebook entirely for awhile.)
“Uh… well, there’s an inn if you mean that sort of thing… otherwise if you mean to just sit a moment, there’s a coffee shop a block away…? Are… are you sure you don’t need a hospital or something?” Malachi asked again. The way the male was so dizzy and not knowing where he was kept bothering him. Maybe he should stop asking because he could also be very drunk. Then again, from how close they were earlier, he didn’t smell any alcohol.
(Don't worry about it man, life gets in the way sometimes. Metal health and your real life is more important)
"Yes, yes I'm quite sure I don't need a hospital." How was he supposed to explain to a doctor that he was feeling dizzy from an unexplained jump from his world to theirs and because of that, he felt like he was going to pass out? Aston shook that thought away, he just needed to sit down for a few moments, regain some of his strength and jump back, "That um, coffee shop you mentioned, how long of a walk is that?"
Malachi couldn’t help his worried thoughts, but decided to let it fade to the back of his mind for now. There was also the fact that he didn’t want to make the strange man upset with him for asking so much. “It’s right around the corner,” he replied, hands moving to fiddle with the hem of his shirt. He remembered when his clothes used to be tattered and worn all those years ago. Now, he wore a clean, pale blue shirt with a pair of jeans along with a pair of sandals. It was a bit odd to be wearing shoes like that on a cooler day, but it was as close as he could get to barefoot.
Round the corner. Okay, so not too far away, luckily. Any longer of a walk and he predicted he might fall over in the middle of the street. Why had the jump taken so much out of him? That was unusual and had never happened to him before. What was it about that jump? He didn't even have any resources available to look it up. Why couldn't have he jumped somewhere closer to home? He glanced down the street then back to the other male, "Right, okay. Thank you for the help. And I'm sorry again for crashing into you like that."
Malachi looked the other in the eyes as he spoke. He really was quite handsome. “Um, no problem. It’s kind of my fault too because I wasn’t paying much attention,” the half breed insisted. He was used to taking the blame for things, even if they weren’t his fault. It was an old habit that seemed to have extreme difficulty of leaving.
