“Really? I didn’t really think so, but…thank you?” She laughed a little, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. She never really found it cool that she’s could speak another language. Though, technically she spoke three, but she wasn’t going to say anything about that. She more found it a burden than anything.
She had to switch her mind to different languages all of the time.
She had to think in a certain language when talking to certain people then speak that language. English came pretty naturally to her now, but Korean still stuck with her through all of her life. Whenever she would get flustered, which happened often and easily, or when she’s really mad , which almost never happened, she would speak in Korean. And the only reason she knew Japanese was because of her high school sweetheart. Back in high school of course, but now he’s dead.
She’s accepted it, so it was all fine, though she was always get really sad whenever she thought about him. They were really tight with each other, the bestest of friends.
He was Japanese. Well half American also, he was born in Japan, so he taught her the majority of the language.
"It is cool!" Jackson exclaimed. "I could never get my brain to really wrap around learning another language, so I kind of just gave up," he admitted. He knew a couple foreign words in French, Japanese, and Irish, but only a couple. That was all he could flaunt, and at most he only could recall three words from either of the three he (didn't really) know.
She smiled a little “well thank you. It’s a little hard to learn, but I learned at such a young age it was a lot easier. Oh wait that sounds rude, I’m sorry” she bit the inside of her lip, feeling really bad that she just practically bragged about knowing another language.
“So um, what languages have you tried to learn?” She asks him as she played with the hem of her big t shirt
"It's fine aha," Jackson replied. "I only know one word of French, like two words of Japanese, and three words of Irish." To be fair, the only reason he knew any Irish at all was because of that one song from that one Irish-originated movie. That song was pretty popular when the movie had come out, and of course he knew it too.
"What really? Irish? Oh i love French, it's rather romantic. sorry im weak for romance. But howd you learn Irish?" She asks him as she leaned around the door frame.
What were they going to do now?
(I'm sorry, but what does "What we're they going to even do now?" mean?)
"Ah, just a random song. The native language of it is Irish, so…" Jackson explained.
(Agh, sorry frickin autocorrect hates me. I’m gonna edit it. Sorry)
“Oh okay. I’m sure I won’t recognize it, so I won’t bother asking” she smiled
“So um….” she simply says awkwardly as she looked down at herself in her pjs then to him.
(lol okii)
"Yeah… this is gonna be awkward…" he came up with. God, that was lame. But to be fair, what else was there to say? he thought.
She didn’t exactly what they were doing, but she just nodded in agreement.
“So what’s going to happen then?” She asks awkwardly, as if her words weren’t awkward enough.
"…I don't know," he admitted sheepishly, shrugging.
(?so like, what actually are they gonna be doing?)
(Idrk, maybe awkwardly get into the bed, and as far as I know, Jackson for sure is going to inch to the very edge of his side, trying not to make it more weird than it already is.)
XD okay)
"Well um, im gonna go um…..brush my teeth. Be right back." She thought of the lame excuse and used it. She then quickly went to the bathroom without another word.
(Okii lol)
"Um… okay then," as soon as the words left his mouth he internally cringed. He had just broken the one rule the people who'd hired him for this movie told him not to break. Don't use filler words. And "um" was a filler word. But he couldn't really help it, he was just so darn nervous.
(Haha CCs filled with filler words XD)
She got inside the bathroom and shut the door behind her. She sat on the edge of the tub and looked up to the ceiling.
It was all so crazy. A man living j her apartment!? And the craziest thing is, she can't touch him!
He wasn't a ghost or anything like that. No, he was an actual human with real life! And he wasn't that bad looking either.
(Yeah lol)
Okay. Take a deep breath, he told himself. It's not that strange. But he was lying to himself, and he knew it. Okay, maybe it is. But still. Agh, what was he gonna do when he got tired? Ah, who was he kidding. He'd likely get no sleep at all, huddled on the edge of the bed.
After a while of thinking, she decided she might as well brush her teeth and wash her face.
She soon cam into the room with her hair up in a ponytail that she was soon going to put down for bed. All of the make up was off of her face, though she didn't look much different. Her face was always pretty clear and her eyes were still big and doll like, if not more than usual, and her cheeks were still we're strawberry red color and she still smelled of vanilla and cream with a hint of daisys as usual. She poked her head in through the crack of the door before she stepped in shyly.
"…you look good, hehe," Jackson remarked, looking up. And she did. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do next, and so he went over to the bed and sat down on the edge of it at the foot.
Her face turned red as she stepped to the room. Well, more red than it was before. And it was obviously visible to anyone who would look at her.
"I-i can sleep on the couch if you would like.." She says nervously, sitting down on the left side of the bed beside the nightstand.
"Awww, you're blushing! How cute," he noted, laughing a little bit. He was only teasing her, but it was fun. Not that none of the things he had said wasn't true, it was fun to tease… well anyone, that is.
Her eyes widened a bit and she quickly hid her face in one of the pillows. "Not fair. I'm already flustered" her flustered voice muffled through the fluffy pillow.
Sh turned to him with a beet-red face, her white freckles were much more visible now that her face was red. "And hey, what happened to you hating me or something huh?" She crossed her arms, though she was still holding the pillow pressed against her chest
He looked confused, saying, "Since when did I say I hated you?"
"Well i mean… You never actually said that" she shuffled around and squeezed the pillow tighter to her chest. "But you sure did act like it. So in my mind….you we're the guy that hated me. Or whenever i would think about you, one of the things would be " he hates me though"
She shrugged.
"Hey, it wasn't my fault… that you were a bit on the… fierce side, should I say, not long after we met," he protested, looking up at CC.
