Krona sat back down after setting the food down, watching in amazement as the food vanished. "So, you just teleport the food into your stomach?" He asked. "That's pretty cool." He didnt expect an answer, seeing as he had already gone back to work on his star chart.
"Mhmm…" It's not like I can eat any other way. The tip of one of Marius's ears twitched a bit and he shuddered for a moment. After he'd shaken off his chills, he kept scribbling things down on his star map. And not that it's really any of your business anyway.
Krona shrugged. "You're right, it's not, but it's my best shot at striking up a conversation. Theres not much else to do, seeing as I'm stuck up here with you, under your father's command." The assassin looked outside and up at the stars. They were beautiful, he had to admit. "Though, you don't really seem like the conversational type." He smiled slightly.
Considering my inability to properly speak, I suppose that's a fair assumption. Marius huffed a bit and crawled forward on his star chart. I don't exactly get along with other people all that well. He stretched a bit, his back cracking loudly when he did so.
Krona looked down. "Neither do I, really. I don't talk to people all too often, so I'm not the best at it. Mostly just following orders and stuff." Being raised to be an assassin was hard, hard work, and years of training and people yelling at you wasn't exactly the best on your mind. But Krona was used to that by now. "I can see why you're up here so much. It's nice. The stars are beautiful." He glanced up at the night sky, up at the thousands of twinkling stars shining above.
"Mm…" The stars are really the only things that I actually like. Marius lay back on the floor and sighed softly, clearly growing a bit tired after a while. He wasn't looking forward to going back down the stairs. It always tired him out, and he couldn't even go all that fast. Servants occasionally offered to carry him down, but he always refused. Being carried was demeaning, and it made him feel like a child or a doll.
"You seem tired," Krona pointed out. "Maybe you should head off to bed? It's not healthy to keep yourself up too much, and you can always pick this back up in the morning." He paused for a minute, then chuckled. "God, I sounded like a mom or something." He cringed at his mother-like words, smiling slightly. Technically, he was supposed to be putting up an act about caring about Marius, but looking down at the small prince, he couldn't help but feel like it was his responsibility to make sure he was taking care of himself.
I can't see the stars in the morning, so no, I can't. Marius kept scribbling things onto his star map, his ears beginning to droop with exhaustion. He was growing more tired as time went on, seeming like he was planning on just passing out up here instead of bothering with the stairs.
"If you wake up early enough, you can." He smiled slightly, seeing that the prince was quite obviously tired. "If you need me to, I can carry you down. You're obviously tired." He needed to make sure to get close enough to Marius so that he could assassinate him easily. Sure, it was a slow process, and the prince would probably make it incredibly difficult, but he knew that he would be able to go through with it.
(Sorry for the late response! I had school)
(No problem!)
Marius huffed indignantly. I don't need to be carried. I'm an adult. If I wanna sleep up here, I can. He rolled over so he could sprawl out across his star map again and continue working on it. He was still very droopy and sleepy, and he did actually doze off after a bit. Considering his tendency to pass out up here, that may have been a reason that Krona was asked to accompany him.
