Okay, so, usually when I start a RP, I have a well-thought out plot and this big long description, but this time I don't. This time it's really simple. I've never done like, a regular high-school RP, and I wanna do one. I'd like to be set mildly in the future, maybe enough so we can say schools are a little rougher these days and physically bullying is worse than it currently is IRL. Verbal bullying too. Just bullying in general. Not to mention, setting it in the future allows us to twist society how we want it a little more, and I like that. :3
Anyhow, I want my character to be this smol boy who walks on a crutch from a mild defect in his leg and spine. He's a sweetheart, but he's got a bit of a smart mouth, which means he gets into it with bullies. Considering the fact that he's disabled, people probably should be more considerate, but this boy is the kind of kid bullies would gladly dangle from the flagpole without second thoughts.
Your character can be… anything. I imagine a new kid would be best, so that they can just be meeting each other. Maybe your kid was a "loser" at their old school, so they pity my boy. Or maybe they were popular, but they're just kind. Maybe they come to this new school and are still popular here, but they still pity poor boyo. I'm fine with any of that. OR, your character could even begin as a bully and eventually start to feel kind of bad about it. These are just ideas; feel free to suggest your own.
I know this is the crappiest RP blurb ever, but it's 3:52 AM here.

  • No cursing or profanity.
  • Violence welcome. BULLYING IS MORE WELCOME.
  • Romance is welcomed, but keep in mind that my boy is heterosexual, so if you want romance, please be a girl.
  • Sex scenes are not allowed. Only PG-13 romance.
  • Let me reiterate: NO PROFANITY.
  • Don't let this die on me, please. If you have to be away for a few days, I understand. Try to let me know in advance. I go on random hiatuses, so I won't hold it against you if you get busy, just please inform me.
  • Use decent grammar. You don't have to be an English teacher, and even I have a crap ton of typos, but… punctuation is an important thing to use, alright?
  • I may be willing to do reboots if you're eager.

I'm a sucker for deep platonic friendships, so if you wanna use a boy character and don't wanna do romance, we can do this and I will love it.
You can play more than one character. As many as you want. I might play a few, too. Feel free to play friends, bullies, love interests, teachers, etc. Just don't play more than you can handle.

Okay, so, what kind of character would you like to do? Would you like this to take a romantic turn later or do you prefer platonic friendships? I'm down for either. Or both. Do you have any suggestions or ideas for the RP in general?

@MusicElle-is-here

I had sort of an idea about my character being the bully’s younger sibling? I think doing a platonic friendship would be cool because I feel like I end up doing romantic stuff a lot. Other than that, I’m still thinking.

@Moriarty

Okay, brilliant! I like that idea.

And– I agree. I actually haven't done any platonic friendships yet and I was kind of hoping someone would ^-^ Romances can be fun and great, but it's hard to beat a well-done friendship.

@Moriarty

Not specifically. Just however we feel like it should go. All I know thus far is that my boy is the target of extreme bullying. I don't generally do regular high school RPs (usually sci fi, Dystopia, or hero/villains), so I'm not sure what route we should take. We can always brain storm and come up with new things to do. :3 I think it'll be quite fun, though.

i made a form for both my character and his brother

Name: August Michaels
Gender: male
Age: 14, almost 15
Grade: 9th
Backstory: His older brother Levi is one of the most prominent bullies of the school, and he's just as bad at home, harassing August nearly every day. Levi is the family golden child with good grades, athleticism, and basically everything that August feels he lacks. August and Levi's mother died when they were younger, at ages 8 and 11, and ever since were basically raised in a hyper-masculine environment.
Personality: Shy, somewhat smart, and anxious. August has anxiety, so he is constantly fidgeting and is just trying to survive high school. He is artistic and quite altruistic at heart, though he usually covers it up to protect himself. He can be surprisingly philosophical and thoughtful, but is more emotion-smart than book-smart. He's actually quite good at art.
Appearance: August looks a bit like a smaller, weaker version of his older brother. He has raven black hair that is constantly messy and falls into his eyes, which are a startling light blue color. His skin is fairly pale and he has a decent amount of freckles. August is average height, at 5' 8", and thin. His posture is usually pretty bad. He has a small nose and mouth and small hands as well.
Outfit: He typically wears comfortable clothes that aren't too noticeable, such as hoodies, jeans, and sneakers with the occasional t-shirt or sweater. He hates wearing shorts and he also hates flip flops.
Other:

Name: Levi Michaels (i figured i might as well make him a form too)
Gender: male
Age: 17
Grade: 11th
Backstory: (same as August)
Personality: Levi is just as insecure as his younger brother, even though he never admits it. His father is twice as hard on him, even though Levi is the family favorite. He replaces his sadness and insecurity with a toxic anger that infects all of his relationships. He is one of the main bullies at the school, and is quick to come up with insults and ways to make others feel as terrible as he does. He is often stressed out and doesn't like his "friends" very much, but feels as if he doesn't deserve any better because he is just as much of a bully as them.
Appearance: Levi is average height at 5' 8", but has a much more muscular and compact build than his younger brother. He has the same black hair, though his is shorter and neater than his brother's mop. His eyes aren't the same blue as August's, but rather hazel. Levi has light skin too, but it's not nearly as pale as August's, and he has a substantial amount of freckles as well.
Outfit: Levi typically wears his letterman jacket, as it is one of his prized possessions (he plays baseball btw), with a t-shirt and jeans. He always wears the same pair of dirty black sneakers.

(I LOVE THEM)

Name: Bensen "Ben" Cassidy
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Grade: 10th
Backstory: Bensen was born with a slight defect in his leg and spine. He wasn't supposed to be able to walk, but fifteen years down the road he can walk just fine– albeit with a crutch. But his parents didn't want him when he was born because of the defect, and he was sent into foster care. Some of his foster parents were good, but some were abusive, too. He finally got adopted by a decent family at the age of twelve, though by then he was already bitter from years of neglect and abuse. They are good to him, but even though he's lived with them for three years, he hasn't really grown close to any of them because of his own internal issues that remain unresolved.
Personality: Bensen is pretty depressed, but he wouldn't admit that openly. He's extroverted, and desperate for someone to notice him, but he won't admit that either. He hates being pitied or patronized, especially for his disability, because he doesn't want people to view him as weak or inferior. He feels the constant need to prove himself, and this combined with the fact that he's a pretty sarcastic and a smart alec is probably what makes him an even bigger target for bullies. He couldn't fight them if he tried, because he can't even stand on both feet without his crutch, so it's not like he's a real threat– but he runs his mouth sometimes anyways, and that's what gets him in the hole. He's scared of the bullies, but not scared enough to stop. He doesn't have any real friends and doesn't know how to make friends, because he's not good with other people's emotions and barely understands his own. He's pretty smart intellectually, but he's a little crummy at socializing with people and can come across as weird or rude. He's got an odd sense of humor. He's a schemer, and he's always looking to do something new to give him a feeling of excitement or accomplishment– even if it means possibly getting hurt and/or in trouble.
Appearance: He's about 5'6", skinny and pale. He has untamed copper brown curls and is usually too lazy to do anything with them. His large eyes are dark chocolate brown, and he has a prominent (albeit not large nose) and lips of average fullness.
Outfit: He's too lazy to bother worrying about appearance, so he usually wears whatever is available. Generally wrinkled hoodies and sweatpants. He wears converse shoes or vans and almost never ties them, which is probably a bad idea since he's on a crutch and could trip, but he doesn't seem to care enough anyways.

August pulled his hoodie up over his head, slouching as usual the second Levi unlocked the car doors. He bolted away with a last call of “See you later, loser!” behind him from his brother, trying to replace it with the usual static that filled his brain. As usual, his stomach was tight and his hands were fidgeting with his hoodie strings as he headed to his locker.

Levi, meanwhile, grinned as he locked his car and walked up to the school, winking crudely at girls he had no chance with. He shoved his self loathing into the pit where he stored most of his emotions, looking for someone he could snap at. Since August had disappeared, Levi needed someone else he could taunt. He was certain that the saying “misery loves company” was in fact true as his eagle-eyed gaze combed the halls.

@Moriarty

(Sorry!! I was very busy today. I'm here now. ^-^)

Bensen had once again attempted to pull the old I-don't-feel-good-so-I-wanna-stay-home trick, but his stepfather was used to Ben's antics and excuses, so the man had learned to see through the act. Bensen had hoped to earn enough pity to sleep in, and he probably could've if he wanted to milk the fact that he's physically disabled, but he wasn't ready to stoop that low yet. Besides, it wasn't like today would be any worse than yesterday or last week. Might as well suck it up and face the day.

Ben didn't bother casting so much as a glance at anyone as he walked down the school's hallway. It wasn't like he had anything to say to them yet anyways. He hated the infernal crutch that he was forced to use to support his right leg, and he'd probably throw the piece of equipment in the trash if he could make it around without it. But he'd tried that before, and it didn't end so well. Whether he liked it or not, he was stuck with the stupid thing. And he would be for the rest of his life, unless some miracle changed that– but Ben had long since stopped believing in miracles.
He stopped in front of his locker and leaned against the crutch while he put in his combination apathetically. He wasn't worried about being late for class; if the bell rang and he showed up five minutes later, so be it. The teachers usually went easy on him anyways, probably assuming he was slower because of his leg. He was late almost every day and he never had any real repercussions, so it wasn't like that was going to change now.
