I'll be gone for about 12-14ish hours after posting this but I'm bored, so here we go.
My character, Jidhr, is a mage, thus assigned the role of 'protector' for the weaker ones in a dystopian yet fantasy-esque society where police brutality is at an all-time high and people need people stronger than them to stick together. More specifically, Jidhr's a water mage, and he's very, very gay.
((Yes! And Abby, you may join!))
(Let’s do no because I’m mobile and about to get on a plane, and lazy. I’ll type up a starter.)
(Okay. Im at work so it'll probably be a few hours)
Jidhr shifted in his seat, looking up at the door. Soon, his name would be called, he’d meet who he’d be protecting for the rest of his life. He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
Avel was chewing on his lip whole he waited. He kept wringing his hand out in front of him. To say he was nervous was an understatement. He was about to meet the person who was supoosed to protect him until the end of his days.
"Jidhr!" The robotic voice called, swinging the door open. He gave a large sigh and heaved himself upward, walking through the door to see. Finally. This was the moment of truth.
Avel looked up the moment the door opened and a man walked through. Should he stand? Should stay sitting? Should he greet him? He wasnt sure. So he stood awkwardly and brushed a hand through his curly blonde hair. He made the decision he would greet his protector but tripped over his feet.
Jidhr quickly held a hand to his shoulder to steady him, bringing it back to his side and clearing his throat. "Sorry. I'm, um…Jidhr."
Avel looked dowm at the ground once he steadied himself. His cheeks were flushed on his pale face. "I'm A-Avel." He saod quietly
Jidhr brushed away a dark strand or hair from his sand-tone face. "Hey." He sat on the only couch in the room - these introductory ones were always so bare. "I'm, a, uh, water mage." Did he just blush…? Okay that's cute
Avel looked up at him, a hint of a blush still lingered on his cheeks. "W-what can you d-do as a w-water m-mage?" He silently cursed himself for stuttering. He only did it when he was nervous.
Jidhr smiled kindly, holding his hand out to the vase of flowers nearby. The water began to flow out of the vase and up into the air until it was in his hand. "This. And other things." That stutter was cute too. Lucky me.
Avel's eyes widened in awe and his mouth dropped. "T-thats cool. I c-cant do a-anything." He mumbles tge last part.
"Thank you." Jidhr said, wondering if there was some way he could comfort the boy without…say, touching his shoulder or something - which he did want to do - god, he was gay - but probably shouldn't.
Avel nodded, he haze dropping back to his feet. He rocked on his heels, unsure of what to do or what to say. "Umm, w-what dobw-we do n-now?"
He shrugged. "Um…I should probably go with you to…home? Yeah. Your house," He said, opening another door that led out into the parking lot. "I am your protector now, after all."
Avel nldded his head excessively. He nibbled on his bottom lip as he walked out the door, mumbling a small thank you to Jidhr.
Jidhr looked to him with a smile and a raised eyebrow, a kind expression. Jesus…christ. Gods above. Thank the stars, oh my god he's adorable. "Is it close enough to walk?"
Abel shrugged. "I-i don't k-know your d-definition of c-close." He out his hands in his pockets, kicking a rock
He shrugged. "Same as normal, I think. Walking distance?"
