"It's doesn't have to last more than 30 minutes, Lloyd. This is just a fun thing to build to cure boredom"
"It's doesn't have to last more than 30 minutes, Lloyd. This is just a fun thing to build to cure boredom"
"Oh… Well, it should last at least a few hours, presuming the foundation doesn't get disturbed." Lloyd looked at the walls of the dome.
"That's even better!… Oh! Do you want to play another game, but here instead of out there?"
"Sure. What do you want to play?" Lloyd looked back over at Irene.
Irene lied down and looked at the blanket acting as the ceiling. "Hmm… Is there one that looked fun to you last night? Besides Battleship, of course."
"The Spanish game could be fun. The… uh… Uno?" Lloyd suggested.
"Oo! Yes we should definitely play it. Uno is really easy once you know how to play. I'll go get it." Irene crawled out of the fort and looked in the pile of games for Uno. After a bit of digging around, she found it and went back into the fort. She gave Lloyd the box so he could read the instructions.
Lloyd read over the instructions a couple times. "Alright… I think I understand. We both need seven cards, correct?" He dealt seven cards to himself and Irene.
"Yes and I'll go first." The card on top was a red 8, Irene placed down a green 8.
Lloyd examined his cards carefully, trying to make a strategy. After a minute or two, he put down a green five.
"Hmm…" Irene put down a green reverse card, then a green 1.
(Just wondering, would you possibly be interested in joining another rp? We are still waiting on just one more person to join)
"Wait wait wait, why'd you go twice??" Lloyd asked, confused. "I thought this game was turn based?"
(What is it about?)
"I put down a reverse card so it reversed the turns. It might make more sense if there were more people. But since it's only the two of us, it would go back to my turn and vis-versa."
"But… why?" Lloyd lay down another card, still confused.
(Here's a link to it. I'm using Irene for that one too lol)
"Um…" Irene looked at the instructions to maybe help explain better than she was. "It's possible that it's not actually something you do in the game and my father and I just play it that way because it's just the two of us…"
"Hmm… alright." Eventually, Lloyd had one card. "It is at this point that I say 'Uno', correct?"
"Yeah… wait how do you already have one card?!"
"I dunno? Isn't that the goal?" Lloyd looked down at his card, still not entirely sure what he was doing.
"Yes, it is… you just did it extremely quickly!" Irene was still holding 3 cards in her hand frantically looking between her cards and the pile, knowing she was about to lose.
"Oh… is that good?" Lloyd picked up another card, as he wasn't able to use his current one.
"It is very good." Irene smiled when he drew a card. She put down a red 9.
Lucas put down a blue nine. "Uno, again."
