"Yeah… I mean, I'm a year younger than you and we're in the same grade. Either way, it's your choice. You don't have to do anything you don't want to."
"Yeah… I mean, I'm a year younger than you and we're in the same grade. Either way, it's your choice. You don't have to do anything you don't want to."
"I should probably go through with it though…" Irene heard the AC turn on and felt the cold air. She wrapped herself in her blanket again.
"Alright." Lloyd huddled up as well and closed his eyes again.
"So do you want to do anything else today? Or do you want to keep watching movies and sleeping?"
"I dunno… if you have any other ideas I'm open to them." Lloyd turned his head towards Irene.
"Hmm… Do you want to go for a walk? It looked really nice earlier and you've been inside all day and night so far."
"Sure, if you want." Lloyd unraveled himself and stood up, smoothing down his hoodie.
"Okay, let's go!" Irene fought her way out of her blanket and stood up. She went over to the door and slipped on some shoes. "Oh, one second." She dashed upstairs and came back with her phone and a house key. "Now we can go."
"Alright…" Lloyd walked out with Irene, blinking in the bright sun. He subconsciously stayed close to her.
Irene shut and locked the door before she turned around and started walking down the street, noticing how close Lloyd was to her, but of course, she didn't mind.
Luckily, there weren't too many people out right now, so Lloyd didn't get excessively anxious. Nonetheless, he kept close to Irene for safety purposes.
"So… how are you feeling?" Irene turned the corner and headed towards a park.
"Stressed, drained, pretty generally terrified… so just about normal. What about you?" Lloyd glanced over at Irene.
Irene looked up at Lloyd and smiled. "I'm actually pretty good! I've gotten to hang out with one of my favorite people for about 24 hours now and probably for a lot longer."
Lloyd smiled weakly. "He sounds wonderful. When can I meet him?" He said with a joking tone.
"Hmm, I'm not sure, maybe tomorrow?" Irene laughed and lead Lloyd to a bench by a pond in the park.
Lloyd sat beside Irene with his hands folded neatly in his lap, looking out upon the pond.
Irene picked up a rock and attempted to skip it on the pond, but instead, she just threw it in.
Lloyd tried the same thing, failing a couple times before getting a rock to skip once.
"My father always tried to teach me to skip rocks in this pond, but I could never do it…" Irene tried multiple times, never once skipping a rock successfully.
"Mmm… I think it's kinda like throwing a frisbee. It's all in your wrist. You also want a flat rock." Lloyd picked up a pretty smooth rock and flicked his wrist, skipping the rock.
"Hmm, that may help…" Irene picked up a semi-flat rock and attempted to skip it. It still didn't work, but she was getting closer. After a few failed attempts, she finally got a rock to skip once. She jumped up. "Yay!! I did it!"
Lloyd smiled softly. "Great job, Rea. See? I am a good teacher." He laughed a bit, skipping another rock.
"I never you said you were a bad teacher!" Irene giggled and tried to skip another rock, succeeding again.
"I know, just the whole tutor thing from earlier." Lloyd tossed a rock in his hand a couple times before skipping this one too.
