Jackson walked into his first period tired and utterly miserable. His parents were really on his back again about joining the football team among other things. He would have thought they would be satisfied with him on the hockey team, but no.
Eric trudged into the room, looking tired, though still pretty happy, fingers still stinging a bit from playing guitar, and dropping into his seat. "Morning…"
Jackson smiled as Eric entered, his day was instantly better, "Morning."
Eric smiled slightly. "Actually slept for a bit last night…"
"That's great!" Jackson's smile only grew.
Eric looked down sheepishly. "It- it wasn't much. I got about an hour before I got woken up."
“It’s better than none,” Jackson responded turning in his chair to face Eric.”
"I guess." He said, shrugging.
"So what did you end up doing after we parted ways?" Jax asked him.
"Went home, chilled in my room. Played guitar." He said, leaning on the desk. "You?"
"Went home, hid in my room, got dragged out for dinner, and then chewed out for various things," Jax let out a long sigh, "Not a great night."
Eric winced in sympathy. "Damn, sorry."
"I know," Jackson looked up at him with a slight grin, "But you've made it all better."
"Yeah," Jackson gave him a smile.
Jackson wanted to hug him or something, "So, did you do you homework?"
"Ummmm…" Eric said, fidgeting nervously. "Well…"
"It's fine," Jackson gave him a slight smile, "You slept for once."
Eric nodded. "Yeah, for a bit, I guess…" He said softly. Kept dreaming of you, though…
"A bit is better than none," Jackson repeated what he said earlier.
"Yeah…" He mumbled, laying his head against the desk. "I know…"
"So, anything new with you dear?" Jackson asked.
"Wrote a song…" He said quietly. "It's kinda stupid though."
"I'm sure it's not," Jax could hardly hear the first part, but he heard stupid and it.
