"You don't have to kill, you're already able to do that," Zyra replied, trying to cheer up Carmen. "Should we go back to making the song?"
"You don't have to kill, you're already able to do that," Zyra replied, trying to cheer up Carmen. "Should we go back to making the song?"
"Right, yeah, the song, right-" She said, shaking her head slightly to clear her mind. "Right- should I play what I have so far?"
"I would love that," Zyra replied, smiling at Carmen as she tried to clear her mind. Cute.
Carmen smiled, quietly playing the tune, singing softly.
Zyra listened attentively, crossing her arms and staring off into space as she listened.
Her playing stopped short when she hit where she left off, voice trailing off. "Well…?"
Zyra clapped excitedly for a few seconds. "It was great!" She with a bright smile. "What were you planning on doing after that?"
Carmen bit her lip. "I have a bit of a half baked verse, but that's it."
"What is it?" Zyra pushed away some of the hair that was falling into her face.
Carmen pulled a sticky note from her songbook, showing her the few lines scrawled across it.
Zyra read the lyrics, nodding after a few seconds. "They're great, I think you could add like a description of the person as you get to the bridge?" She suggested.
Yeah, just describe one of my best friends and band mate in one of the songs we gotta do in front of a crowd- "Maybe." She said, shrugging. "Gonna keep it vague, though. Let people project on our song a bit, ya know?"
Zyra nodded in understanding. "Well, obviously, or you could say their personality?" She suggested again. By the way, who is it? I know I'm supposed to be happy for you but damn, I'm really jealous.
Carmen blushed slightly. "Sweet… cares a bit too much about people… kinda oblivious…"
Zyra nodded, trying to think of a way to word them together. "Gender?"
"She's, um, she's a girl…" She mumbled, looking down.
Zyra nodded, wondering how to phrase everything together. "How about you add [random cool lyrics]?"
"Yeah, yeah, that could work…" She mumbled, grabbing a pen and scribbling it down.
Zyra looked around the room as Carmen wrote down the lyrics, looking at her every so often as her heart kept skipping beats. FUCK, SHE'S SO PRETTYYYYYYY. GOD, JUST LET ME JUST HAVE A GIRLFRIEND AND BE GAY IN PEACE, PLEASE.
Carmen was careful to keep her head down, feeling the other girl's gaze on her. DON'T LOOK STUPID DON'T LOOK STUPID-
HOW CAN SOMEONE THIS PRETTY JUST WALTZ INTO MY LIFE WHEN I LOOK LIKE A LITERAL PIECE OF SHIT TAKEN FROM THE SIDE WALK?! Zyra didn't know what to do or say as she looked around the room, not being able to help herself from glancing at Carmen.
(Why is Zyra me tho)
((i mean, mood))
Carmen finished writing, slowly looking up. "So, for the melody…" She mumbled, trying to act natural. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
(lol thanks, I try to be accurate)
"What should we do?" Zyra asked, trying to act normal and natural.
"Well, I was… ya know I fucking love loud music, but um… I was thinking of doing it kinda acoustic… like, um, sorta early Bob Dylan? Kinda dumb idea, but it's something I was raised on-" She couldn't stop herself awkwardly rambling, messing around with her guitar slightly. "I mean, let's face it, I'm not on Dylan levels, but-"
Zyra put a finger over Carmen's lips, shushing her. "Shush, stop talk shit about yourself, you've got this, and you are absolutely on Dylan levels." She realized what she had done and quickly removed her finger, her face burning again. "Got it?"
