Lucas looked at him, smirking. "That blush gives it away doesn't?" He leaned forward and bit his nose with a laugh.
Lucas looked at him, smirking. "That blush gives it away doesn't?" He leaned forward and bit his nose with a laugh.
Rowan was take aback for a second before regaining his confidence and pressing his forehead against Lucas’s. “How do you know that wasn’t for someone else?” He whispered, glad that the hallway they were in was mostly deserted.
Lucas chuckled. He traced a finger down his cheek. "Who else do you talk too? Who else do you look at? You're only ever with me." He whispered.
Rowan’s breath hitched in his throat, his eyes gazing down at Lucas’s hand. The smile faded off his face and he began to back away. “That’s exactly the point Lucas,” he said quietly, turning to walk away.
Lucas frowned. "Wait, what does that mean?" He quickly walked after him. He grabbed his shoulder and pulled so they faced each other again. "Rowan, I was only teasing you."
“It’s fine Lucas. Just leave it alone.” Rowan turned again, forcing a small smile onto his face. He grabbed his stuff for his next class and started walking back down the hallway, sighing.
Lucas's frown deepened. He would drop it for the time being. He would be sure to bug him later when they were walking home. He headed to his next class.
(Time skip to the end of the day or no?)
(Yeah)
Rowan was chatting happily with some guy from his English class, his arm leaning against the lockers. He tried to forget what had happened earlier, but it had thrown him off. He usually avoided arguing or even disagreeing with anyone, especially Lucas.
Lucas was sitting in the back of the class frowning at Rowan. He saw him talking quite happily with another guy and he felr jealous, though he would deny it if anyone said anything. Rowan was his friend. His best friend. He didnt want to share him.
The final bell rang and they both stood up. Rowan said a quick goodbye to the other boy and glanced back at Lucas, nodding towards the door with a hesitant smile before packing up his things.
Lucas nodded amd packed his thing quickly. He headed out the door to meet with Rowan.
Rowan waited outside the classroom and as soon as Lucas walked out, he wrapped his arms around him, hugging him tight. “I’m sorry. I didn’t..I mean I didn’t want to..” he trailed off and sighed. “I’m sorry..”
Lucas let out a small "oof" at the hug, startled. He wrapped his arms around him quickly. He gave him a squeeze. "It's okay. You don't have anything to apologize for. I would just like to know why you're so defesive about it."
Rowan sighed, his shoulders slumping. “I was..I don’t know..it’s complicated,” he whimpered, keeping his arms around Lucas.
Lucas rubbed his back soothingly. "It's okay. We talk about it more later okay?"
Rowan nodded and pulled away, ruffling Lucas’s hair. “Can we go home now, I’m tired,” he groaned, pouting slightly.
Lucas chuckled and pushed him away. "Don't mess with my hair." He laughed. He slung his arm over his shoulder. "Home sounds good.,
Rowan giggled and patted Lucas’s hair, beginning to walk out the door. He would never admit how much he liked Lucas. It would ruin their friendship. And Lucas would never feel the same about him. It was torture.
Lucas follwoed next to him, a smile on his face. "We should make a fort and binge watch Netflix." He suggested.
“That’s a wonderful idea.” Rowan grinned, ignoring his thoughts and just focusing on how happy he was around Lucas.
Lucas grinned. "Then lets go." He laughed and started running. He turned gis head to look at Rowan.
Rowan laughed and shook his head, running after him and catching up quickly. He wrapped his arms around Lucas’s waist in an attemt to keep him from running.
Lucas laughed loudly. He wrapped his arm around Rowan. He panted slightly, out of breath.
