I am v desperate for a superhero roleplay at the moment, so I’m taking control of my own destiny and making one! Would you look at that?

The basic set up here is that both of our characters would work for a public superhero organization set up to fight crime and help the public, and while my character has been working with the organization for quite some time, yours is the newest recruit and has been assigned to my character for “training”. Of course, because this is a roleplay, nothing goes as planned…

I don’t have a lot more in the ways of plot, so feel free to add in elements and ideas if you want to make things a lil more sPiCy! I just wanna have fun here, y’know?

@Gentleman

AHA! YOU BRILLIANT HUMAN, YOU! YOU GOT THE REFERENCE!
Ahem.
Apologies; I had a fanboy moment. Moving on.

I absolutely am interested in joining the RP. That is, if you're interested in having me…

@saltines-yes

Very glad it was an intentional reference!!! I was nervous that I had just scared you off lol

I’d love to have you! Anyone who makes a Star Wars reference is completely welcome in my book! I’ll post the template and my character right after this.

Name: Mallory Marsh
Superhero Name: Shiny (she came up with it when she was young and HATES it now)
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Appearance: Blonde hair cut very short, pale brown eyes, darkly tanned skin, muscular build, almost 6 feet tall and knows it, looks dead inside
Personality: Deadpan and jaded, Mallory lost the bright-eyes and bushy tail of early heroism a long time ago. She’s really only coming in for the paycheck, she tells herself, and this whole hero thing isn’t exactly all it’s cracked up to be. She’s cynical and a little bit lazy, but protective of those who need her help
Superpower: She has super strength that causes her limbs and eyes to glow brightly with a yellow energy, but using her strength exhausts her if she is not very careful about it
Backstory: Mallory grew up in the suburbs as an only child, and was star struck by the allure of the big city, moving there as soon as she graduated high school. She became a hero to put her powers to use by helping others, but as she kept working, she began to think there was no way she could make a difference in the world.

@Gentleman

I am thoroughly honored.
I'll have my hero up soon! Are there any particular personality tropes you would like to shoot for, or any that you are fond of? I like basically every trope, so I'll be content regardless.

@saltines-yes

I’m up for anything, really! I love seeing the variety in personalities and traits that all of the creators on this site come up with.

@saltines-yes

Thanks! I was thinking anywhere from about 18-26? Just to keep them away from being a child soldier or something of the like, you know?

@Gentleman

(Hello! Apologies for my absence. I disappeared due to extreme business in my personal life, coupled with stress over the events surrounding George Floyd's death and the riots that followed. I've returned, though, and I plan to get my character signed up as soon as possible. I had already began my sign-up the day we spoke, but I was interrupted and lost everything I had typed, so I will restart that now. Thank you for your patience!)

Name:
Theodore "Teo" Tallis

Superhero Name:
Specter

Age:
22 years old (though, he tends to act younger)

Gender:
Male

Sexuality:
Heterosexual, but honestly he's never dated anyone and hasn't put much thought into it.

Appearance:
5'10. He's got a small-ish build and is, truthfully, not the least bit threatening. He's average-to-skinny weight, with the overall "softness" of a man who hasn't been working out or toning his muscles up. His skin is fair, with faint freckles spotting his face. He has chocolate-colored curls and large, blue-green eyes.

Personality:
He's over-excited about becoming a superhero. Energetic, bubbly, and incredibly kind. Also pretty sensitive, both to himself and others. He's a little bit gullible and naive, always seeing the best in people— even when it's not there. He's easily deceived and incredibly idealistic. He's loyal, dependable. He has a cowardly streak, but he gets brave when it's needed most. He gets embarrassed and flustered pretty easily. He's spontaneous, easily-distracted, and honestly more of a child than a man.

Superpower:
He can "phase" through walls, floors, people, etc. (See Marvel's Shadowcat)

Backstory:
Teo lived a very sheltered life, despite the fact that both of his parents overdosed on drugs and died when he was a small child. He was raised by his kind grandmother, who lived in a peaceful suburban area. Teo always loved superheroes and the idea of saving the world, and his grandmother always supported his whimsical ideas— especially once it was learned that he had powers. He eventually saw the opportunity to chase after his dream, so he and his grandmother both moved to the city so that they could stay close. He's very optimistic about the future and is probably a little bit too excited about everything.
