So I had this idea for an rp with royalty and warriors and everything with nations based upon elements like those in avatar (not the blue people one lol). Anyway, so I have three different ideas and you can pick which one we do.

One
The princess of Lumi, a kingdom of snow and ice, is of marrying age and her father is anxious to find her a husband. However, she is able to set a contest or requirements to decide her future husband, trying to make it impossible because she is in love with one of the Yukai, a legion of ice warriors that are all female. The two have to figure out what to do before someone manages to win the princess’s hand.

Two
Two royals of different kingdoms are forced into an arranged marriage. At first they hate each other but slowly begin to fall in love even if they won’t admit it. When one of them disappears suddenly, the second royal has to decide how far they will go for their newfound love.

Three
The elemental nations are at war, and it is forbidden for anyone to befriend, much less fall in love with, someone from another nation. When two people from different nations meet by chance one day, they begin to fall in love.

So whenever someone joins they can pick which plot we use! Also, no matter what, I want to be the princess of the ice kingdom, Lumi, but depending on the plot we go with, your character can be any elemental nation that you make up.

(hmm maybe our characters are being betrothed to other people and they hate each other? so one day they meet when they’re both sneaking out and have a meet cute? and they fall in love with the mysterious stranger and keep meeting up and everything and then realize that it’s their enemy? and they normally wouldn’t see each other much so that’s why they don’t recognize the other person’s voice or anything besides thinking they’re familiar? does that make sense?)

Name: Eira Wakefield
Title: Princess
Kingdom: Lumi (ice and snow)
Gender/Sexuality: female, pan
Powers: Eira can control existing ice and snow, as well as freeze or unfreeze water. She also gets cold less easily.
Appearance: Eira has piercing light blue eyes with long lashes. She has an oval face with high cheekbones and a regal nose. She has a sprinkling of freckles on her nose that is hard to see unless you’re fairly close to her. Her skin is a cool caramel tone, and her hair is a blonde so pale that it looks white. Her eyes are almost feline, and she has a graceful, cold beauty about her. She is 5’ 4” and slender, looking almost fragile although the fierceness in her eyes contradicts this.
Personality: Eira is quiet, thinking carefully before speaking unless she is very angry. She has a temper and when angered lashes out. However, she’s gotten better at controlling it over the years. She’s sweet and seems like just a pretty face most of the time, biding her time until she can rule Lumi. She hardly ever shows her true personality, and she is good at acting and lying. On the inside she is quite lively, caring, and vivacious.
Brief backstory: Eira was the younger of two daughters, with her older sister being the model princess. Eira was usually relegated to the background, making her bitter. However, her older sister Elisa loved her dearly, and Eira loved Elisa as well. Elisa was killed during the war, and now Eira has to live up the expectations and fill the role of dutiful daughter.

Name:
Javaid Khrysaor

Title:
Crown Prince

Kingdom:
Vindur, the air kingdom

Gender/Sexuality:
Male, bisexual

Powers:
He can manipulate the air currents, to the extent that he can occasionally control storms, although it drains him.

Appearance:
Javaid is very handsome, in a sharp way. He has messy brown hair that is cropped to his ears, and a faint stubble on his chin and upper lip. His eyes are a piercing gold, and always seems to be filled with mischief and perpetual amusement. He is pretty tall, about 6'3", and has sun-tanned skin. He is very muscular, and has scars over his body from his trainings. He has a tattoo of an upside down triangle with a line stabbed through the bottom point on his left underarm, beneath his elbow.

Personality:
Javaid is playful and always seems to be amused. He is rarely serious, and has a sharp and prominent sense of humor. He is flirty and warm, and is more like a fire, hot and untouchable, than anything else. He is incredibly loyal, though, and will do anything for the people he loves. He is easy to approach and make friends with, but is in no way gullible or naive. He has an excellent judge of character. He has a short temper, and trigger-happy fists.

Brief backstory:
Javaid has never actually been an obedient son. Since he was small, he loved to prank and crack jokes and get into fights. Finally, his father sent him to the war field, in hopes that it would tame his son. It didn't work, and Javaid came back as mischevious as before. He did, though, help save many of the troops with his abilities and outstanding leadership, and got the title "War Prince" as a result.

(hey sorry i disappeared! and you’re totally fine)

Eira sighed, her cheek in her hand. She couldn’t believe that she was about to have to endure another week with her “fiancé”. She had done her best to remain neutral once her parents had told her, but she could not stand Prince Sergei. He wasn’t a horrible person, exactly, but he was not someone that Eira could see herself spending the rest of her life with. Maybe that made her sound like a spoiled princess, and much as she hated to admit it, maybe that was exactly what she was.

Glancing up from her stationary and ink, Eira wondered how easy it would be to sneak out, just for a few hours. She wouldn’t be missed until dinner, when her presence was expected, and she could probably get back by then. The world outside the window was white with snow, the fat flakes being whirled around in the wind.

Today was the last day that she would be spending in her own kingdom before going to spend a week with Sergei. They were travelling have to Pozhar, the fire kingdom, and would have to pass through Vindur to get there. Lumi and Vindur had typically had cordial relations in the past, but nothing more than that.

Eira shook her head to clear it. If she wanted to get to a town far enough away as to not be recognized by a guard immediately and get back in time for dinner, she’d have to leave soon. She tied back her hair and looked for a cloak and dress that were sufficiently plain.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(It's fine! I've been doing that for a while now lol)

Javaid was hiding. Again. Sure, he was a player, and liked being around girls, but this one… he'd rather avoid if he could. He wasn't a coward, by no means, but… this girl scared him. Not because she was clingy, although she was, or because she was ugly, which she also was. No, the girl he was hiding from was his fiance, Diana.

He didn't want to get married. He didn't want to be grounded, didn't want his freedom to be restricted. But his father had ordered this, and it was suicide to go against his father. His father was already annoyed with him enough as it was, with his reckless behavior, and it was best to let him cool down before anything happened.

But where would he hide? It was as if Diana had x-ray vision, because she always seemed to know where he was, no matter where in the castle he hid. Even the dungeon. He would hide in a new spot every time and she'd just… be there.

The town! There was a town nearby, where he hopefully wouldn't be recognized. Hopefully. He would dress in commoner's clothes and hide his features. And maybe that would work, and detain his fiance for long enough to give him a breather.

Eira studied her reflection in the mirror briefly, satisfied. Her pale hair was hidden under the thick hood of her cloak, which was sturdy and gray. The dress she wore under it was a bit splendiferous for a commoner, but it was one of her less heavy and decorative gowns. Then she maneuvered herself out the window, leaving it open just enough to where she’d be able to get back inside later.

Using her powers, Eira snuffed out her trail of footprints in the snow, leaving a perfectly white terrain behind her. As she neared Vindur’s borders, the snowstorm stopped entirely. Lumi’s current capitol city of Sarjuro was a bit too close to the air kingdom for comfort, but Lumi’s people were traditional first and foremost, so moving it was out of the question. Eira knew that while things were peaceful between the two countries, Sarjuro’s capacity to Vindur was a definite vulnerability.

She finally arrived in the city, keeping her hood up. Her light-colored hair would give her away, because in Lumi usually only those of high status and breeding had hair that color. Maybe she should have thought this plan through a bit more. Always being the dutiful daughter had its downfalls.

Eira lit up when she saw a food stand that was decked out in cheerful reds and blues, spending out from the white of the snow (which was a noticeably thinner layer than even a couple of miles away) and the neutrals of the surrounding buildings. The smells wafting from it were amazing, and the man behind the stand appeared to be selling tarta y’uis, which was a kind of pastry that Eira had loved since she was a little girl. The buttery, flaky outside covered an inside of sticky, warm apple and pear filling. Her mouth watered. Thankfully she’d brought a few coins with her. She quickly got in line for the delicious treat.

@PrettyLittlePyro

Javaid was currently trying to act like he belonged. Sure, no one recognized him, not with his new clothes and the hood over his head, but everything smelled. Really bad. It made his nose itch and his eyes water, which greatly annoyed him. He kept his head bowed, making sure not to meet the eyes of anyone around him. His eyes, golden, the color of royalty, were sure to cause a ruckus, and he really didn't want that. If his fiance were to hear that he was here… well, he'd never get a moment's rest.

He raised his head for a moment to look around. There was a bakery nearby, with warm, tasty smells wafting from it. It almost seemed to glow, and against the snow and gray sky, it looked cozier than anything he'd seen in a while.

So he walked over and opened the door. There was a fairly long line, so instead of waiting to buy something, he started to look over the displays, eying the treats, which gave off an enticing fragrance. Should he get some? Why the hell not. He had money, after all.

But waiting in that line… he groaned. Patience was most certainly not one of his virtues.

@MusicElle-is-here

Eira’s mind wandered as she waited in line, noticing the others there. She had always been creative, and a bit of a daydreamer, so she made up stories in her mind about each person as she waited. The two giggling girls had been best friends since birth and were celebrating the brunette’s birthday; the old man and woman were the village storytellers, brimming with life and wisdom; and the boy with the frantic, excited energy about him was a knight off duty, but he could never quite rest, destined to protect his prince. Eira smiled softly. This was sort of fun.

At last it was her turn to order, and she got a big, fragrant tarta y’ui that she hoped tasted as good as it smelled. Since this town was practically on the border, it made sense that it continued some of Lumi’s culture as well as Vindur’s. Some of the pastries there did look distinctly air kingdom.

Eira looked for a place to enjoy the pastry, picking a spot near the side of bakery, where she’d be out of the way of the line but not too far. She took a big bite, apple and pear sauce spilling down her face. She giggled at that. At home that sort of thing would never be tolerated. She wiped the fruit off, licking it off her fingers. She didn’t want any last bit to go to waste.

@PrettyLittlePyro

As Javaid, after a looooooong moment's thought and three more people going into the line, finally got in line behind a young woman and a small child holding her hand. The little girl was chatting to her mother a mile a minute, but the mother didn't seem to mind, and actually seemed to be paying attention to what her daughter was saying.

He felt a twinge of jealousy. His own mother had died when he was small, and so he had no memories of her. His father was always busy running a kingdom, and lecturing him on all the things he did wrong. Javaid seemed to be a constant source of disappointment for his father. "Why can't you be more like your siblings, Javaid?" Was his favorite. "Your brother is already the chief scholar in his school, and your sister is getting married to a stable husband who will help with the war. Why can't you be more like them? Why do you have to be so wild and disobedient?"

He rubbed his face. There was no use thinking of things like this right now. He was here for a break, after all, and so he should stop feeling like this.

He heard a giggle and turned his head to see another cloaked person, who seemed to be a woman, given her figure. She was eating something big and delicious, and licking the sauce that fell from it from her fingers.

Javaid couldn't help but smile slightly, although it wasn't visible, with the hood pulled over his face. The woman seemed so free and unrestrained, so happy about a simple treat. If only he could be like that, without worrying about inheriting the kingdom when his father died or living up to everyone's expectations.
