Well it's not really an army….more of a safe haven that can very much defend itself

Whoops- sorry I must've read it wrong, OK so now that I understand, are we ready? Or am I missing something?
I think we're about ready. who's gonna start and were does the opening take place you think?
Well- could you start? And maybe they meet in the middle of a crowd, but she seems to stand out to him- and vise versa. They both have something strange, and neither is sure what it is? Just a thought.
and she's 16 right? wanna make sure before we start
(Yup!)
It had been four days since the last Shadow attack but I wasn't taking any chances. I was the the field agent as well as the co-founder of Haven and if anyone…was going to get Anna pop-tarts it would be me. Yes I was risking an attack for something so simple, so stupid. Who could say no to Anna though, she was Haven's youngest member, at only twelve years of age and s-'woah what's that smell?' My thoughts suddenly interrupted as I was overwhelmed by a strong scent that was only know to be of….not here though right?
I was trying to blend in within the crowd, but when you have silver blue grey eyes and a strange aura around you- it's rather difficult. I sighed and shoved my hands in my pocket- until I sensed something… something wrong.
They were here…Feral Shadows, creatures that liked to feed on supernatural and unnatural beings. I looked around as they were all around me now 'oh wonderful they know' I had to get out of this crowd before-then I caught the scent of a girl…no no no no they weren't just going to go after me.
I felt panic, knowing I was in trouble. I sped my pace, and started to get out of the crowd. I couldn't let them harm anyone else. I sprinted as fast as I could, knowing I'd be leaving a easy to follow trail.
'what is she doing!?' I thought as I saw the Shadows starting to head out of the crowd. I had to help this girl and wasn't going to let them get another meal. I soon slip out of the crowd and follow behind the group of Shadows as they started to scuttle and crawl after the girl.
(hey I'm gonna head off to bed soon)
(XD Sorry, I had to already go to bed Oof)
I picked up speed, people stopping to look at me. Most only looked annoyed, they had no clue what I was running from but they didn't care. I had to get out of there and fas- Wait- who's crawling on the ground?
As soon as we all were fully out of the crowd I pulled the pendant from my neck and a two foot long short sword sprung to life. I spoke up at the shadows, yelling a bit as most of them turned to the sound of my voice.
I had ignored the figure until now- when they pulled A FLIPPING SWORD OUT OF NOWHERE! I was fully captivated at this point. Maybe it was the tone in his voice- or the sword- but it demanded presence. I wasn't going to deny them that.
the rest of the shadows turned to me as I was the bigger prize, they knew who I was. "Yeah that's right come here, you know I'm the bigger meal." I taunted them as I was drawing them away from the girl
I felt the sharp sense of security rise. I turned back to the masculin voice and felt conflicted. He was trying to save me- but I didn't want him to get hurt. I was being an idiot- but I couldn't leave him. I ran up beside him and lay a hand on his shoulder.
"Get outta here kid I got this I don't need you getting hurt." I put the girl behind me as a small storm cloud started to form. I bashed back a feral with my sword hilt that had gotten a bit too desperate.
(Ahg! Sorry my internet is being dumb…)
I stumbled, but never ran away. "No! I can't let someone else get hurt because of me!" She cried from behind him. "Please don't make me leave, do it yourself, I beg you!"
(it's cool no need to stress) I slashed at the creatures, some turning to puddles as my blade connected, giving us space from them now as I backed away with her. I covered her her eyes quickly with my free hand as a bolt of lightning came down from the dark storm cloud, deflecting off my blade and producing a chain affect in the rest. They were not dead but just dazed. My sword vanished and I took the girl's hand as I rush s away from them, one already recovering it's senses.
I didn't stop, I just let him pull me along. I couldn't keep up if I tried on my own. I skidded behind him trying to stay on my feet. "Where are we going?" I asked loud enough for him to hear.
I came to a halt after we had distanced ourselves from the immediate threat I turn and speak in a hushed tone "Those things came after you because you're not normal. What is it about you that isn't natural?"
She glanced up at him. "You think I don't know that? I lost munch brother to those things." She hissed. "I'm an Elemental Kinetic Aura, but most would call it an EKA. I have power over ice, and I'm a telepathic."
"Hey calm down I've lost plenty to them too. You need to come with me though, at least until the public attack numbers go down." I seemed a bit on edge, and seemed to care about the safety of the girl.
I took a deep breath knowing I was being unfair. But I didn't even know this guy. "How do I know I can trust you? Just because you come in and save the day doesn't mean you won't double cross me." She said keeping a decent distance now that they were alone.
