Payton hummed softly and rolled over, blinking sleepily. He picked up his phone, scrolling through Instagram. It was spring break for all of the college students so they were coming home today or tomorrow. He grinned excitedly and got out of bed, heading downstairs and hugging Kyle. “Good morning!”
"Good morning!" he grinned. "What are you so happy about? I've never seen you this alive before." Kyle was surprised at his mood. "Usually he comes down after Kyle has to beg him.
“My friends are coming home today!” He replied excitedly, leaning over to kiss Kyle. “And it’s Saturday.” He added.
"What friends. I never hear you talk about them." Kyle made sure not to burn the food as a possibility that one of his friends were his old crush.
“Yes I do! The ones that are in college! Tyler, Rowan, Skylar.” He listed, not even thinking about his old crush on Rowan. “This kid in my AP bio class is having a party today, we should go.” Payton suggested.
"Y-Yeah, sure…um, you're not….you're don't still have a crush on Rowan right?" Kyle turned off the stove and turned around.
Payton started at him for a second with his eyebrow raised. “Kyle if I still had a crush on him we wouldn’t be dating.” He laughed, shaking his head.
"Right, right, sorry…breakfast is ready…" Kyle gave a quick smile before setting the food on the table. "When are we going, to the party I mean?"
Payton kissed his cheek and sat down, beginning to eat. “Not until later. Don’t wear the leather jacket.” He laughed, reaching across the table to hold Kyle’s hand.
"Why~! I know you secretly like it~. Are you afraid that I'll be too hot that your friend will want to hit on me?" Kyle whined.
“Nooo! It’s just uncomfortable and I can’t hug you without being stabbed by a zipper.” Payton giggled, squeezing his hand.
"Okay, okay, I'll wear my denim jacket." Kyle chuckled was almost done with his food. "Okay so tell me about these friends of yours."
"Well..Tyler is really nice but kind of clueless. He's also super smart and interned at NASA last year. Rowan is always happy and so sweet and a really good singer. He helped me through a lot of shit last year. Skylar is adorable and crazy and they're studying to be a vet I think." Payton explained happily, curling his knees up to his chest and setting his chin on them.
Kyle's grin faded. He looked down at his food and played with it. "Are any of them not straight?"
"Tyler's straight. Rowan's pan and I think Skylar likes girls. I never really got to know them, Skylar, that well." Payton shrugged, smiling down at the table and not noticing Kyle's expression.
"I'll go take a shower." Kyle put his dish on the counter and went upstairs. He turned on the shower and got in. He didn't wash up he just stood there. "To think I had him all to myself. Yeah right…I'm not allowed to have nice things."
Payton watched him go, slightly concerned. He stayed at the table and looked through his phone, waiting for Kyle to get out of the shower. He'll be fine..
Once he was finished he headed downstairs. "Are you going to take a shower?" Kyle asked, Rubbing his hair with a towel.
Payton nodded and stood up, taking Kyle's towel and wrapped it around his waist, pulling him close. "Don't be jealous of anyone, okay? I'm yours and only yours." He grinned, kissing him lovingly.
Did he hear the conversation I had with myself? "What are you talking about sexy? I know you're mine. No one can take you away from me." Kyle kissed him back with just as much love.
"Just letting you know." Payton pulled away and threw the towel back over his head with a wink. "We'll have to stop by my house so I can get some clothes for tonight." He called out behind him.
"You're being hot again~" he laid his head on the table after he sat down nd sighed.
"I know~" Payton replied in a sing song voice. "I guess it's your lucky day!" He laughed, heading upstairs to take a shower.
Kyle shook his head and laughed. "I wonder if it's my lucky day or someone else's." He mumbled.
Payton got done in the shower and messed around a bit with his hair, wondering if he should blow dry it straight or leave it to dry which might make it wavier. He decided to just leave it and headed back downstairs, sitting down in Kyle's lap. "What do you wanna do?"
