"Well, no but the good thing is, is that it did happen," the bartender gave him some water, "Thank you."

"True." She tilted her head. "I don't want to call it a miracle, but…something like that."

He smiled to himself, "Yeah…something like that. Anyway, how come you work at a nail salon?"

She shrugged. "I like nails. They were hiring, and I needed a job. Plus, there's sometimes free bottles of polish and stuff they give out."

He chuckled, "I like you, you know that?"

"I was made aware of the fact," She responded, raising her eyebrows and taking another drag. "Yeah, I know."

"Good. Keep that in your mind okay?" He poked her head and stood up, "I should get going I have a meeting in a couple of mintues. Nice seeing you sweetheart," he winked and kissed her hand.

Stella watched him go with a bit of a dreamy expression on her face, before standing, paying the bartender, and walking out of the bar towards home. It had begun to drizzle, and she threw away her cigarette in a trash can again.

When Nick woke up in the morning he stretched and texted Stella Hey, you up yet? he got up and started to make breakfast.

Stella looked over at her phone as it buzzed, picking it up and replying. She couldn't help but smile to himself as she saw who it was from. Of course I'm up.

He bit his lip flipping the pancake and catching it in the pan You free today?

Yeah, I mean I do have to show you around my company. So, what time should I pick you up beautiful? he acted calm on text but he was actually dancing around the kitchen screaming yes.

Um…I think eleven, She responded, blushing a little bit as they talked.

Pick you up at eleven then. It doesn't matter what you wear you look beautiful with whatever you wear! He finished making his pancakes and finished eating them. By the time he finished and got dressed it was 10:45. Hey where do you live?

11869 Delaware, apartment 34. She responded, smiling to herself as his text. She got up and fixed her hair into its usual messy bun.

Alright on my way! he got in the car and pulled out of his driveway and looking for the apartment as he drove.

Stella sighed happily to herself, sitting on the couch to wait.

He found the house and got out. He went through the door and found the apartment room and knocked on the door "Stella?"

Stella looked up, smiling as she went to answer the door. "Hey," She said with a smile, opening it.

"Hey…you look energetic today? Anything on your mind?" he smirked leaned on the doorway.

You. "No, just….nothing," She said, shaking her head with a smile.

"Alright then," he moved away from the door walking down the hall and waiting for Stella.

Stella followed him quietly, glancing up at him.

They got to the car and Nick opened the door for Stella and got in after her. "It's a long drive so you can sleep if you want to," he flashed a warm smile and started driving.
