Shall I get up the starter?
(Yup.)
Zaelis loved earth.
He was fascinated with the way humans could fit so many emotions into their short lifetime. So he had come down for more educative reasons and exploration.
He walked down the side of the street, his shoes clicking on the sidewalk and echoing down the way. It was relatively empty this time of morning, and although some may have been thankful for it, Zaelis was nervous. He didn’t like being alone at all— a crowd was his forte, for sure.
He held his hands behind him, fiddling with his fingers as he walked. His hair was nothing styled— just spiking off one different directions messily. His eyes were bright and hopeful, although tinged with nervousness, bouncing down the street and trying to take in all the beautiful orange light of the morning.
The warm tones of the sun mixed together with the stone buildings to make a pleasant bittersweet nostalgia of the heavens above. It was quite beautiful in his opinion.
He took a deep breath, the colder morning air seeping into his lungs. The day was lined up for beauty, and hopefully he’d be seeing people soon.
Baz was walking down the street. A smirk on his face. He enjoyed the human world. Well, better than Hell, that is. No sounds of dying souls, not other demons getting him mad. It was much better than Hell in Baz's eyes. He was enjoying the sun, sky, and clouds. This was rare for a demon like Baz. Barly ever happy, barely ever smiles.
Well, Baz wanted to enjoy this feeling while it lasted. He was heading to the park to sit on a bench and think to himself. Baz suddenly stoped. He had forgotten the book that he had to give to his "sister". Baz turned around and started to walk a little bit faster than he usually walked. He wasn't paying attention so he slipped on a rock, and tumbled into another person.
Instantly a burning sensation ripples through Zaelis’s body. Fire crept up his spine, his eyes widening for a second as he was pushed to the ground. Now sitting, he blinked up at the figure who had caused his somewhat abrupt descent.
The man’s eyes were a pitch black, his skin paler, and he seemed slightly shorter.
And the feeling— the feeling of their skin touching sent fire throughout his entire being. This was not a human. Nor was it a celestial. Based on the severity of it all— this was a demon.
Softly, and with a cooing voice, Zae mumbled, “Hello.”
Before the other boy could reply, Zaelis stood up and brushed off his white jacket, his magenta eyes still locked on the demon.
Baz jolted up. When he had touched the other person he had felt something. Something different. This wasn't a human, nor a demon. He was a celestial. Baz clean off his shirt. If I'd know that he was a celestial, he'd know that I'm a demon…Oh crap- He looked at Zea and smiled, "Hello. Sorry for pushing you over. I was in a rush…" Baz looked at Zea.
Baz continued to walk and as he passed Zea he whispered. "I know you know…And I also know…" Baz continued on to the next street and eventually getting to his house.
Zae shivered, not from the cold, but from the demon whispering beside him. He stared straight forward, soon feeling the warm presence leave his side and continue walking.
Why was a demon on earth? It couldn’t be for exploration, right? Demons were animals… ruthless animals who cared for no one. Right?
Slowly he continued walking. It took all the will he had to not follow the demon. But now he had a general direction, and he could stay near this one spot to keep an eye out. The park wasn’t too far, so maybe he’d keep up post there.
Zae walked over to the benches, brushing his hair from his eyes and taking a seat. His skin still burned, the tingling sensation lessening but lingering nonetheless.
Baz entered his human home and chuckled. He headed for his step-sister's room and grabbed her book. He walked out slowly and cheerfully. But he still had fear from the fact that he had disturbed a celestial. And the celestial was probably winding why a demon, of all creatures, was out on the surface world. It was just too much to think of.
He gave his step-sister her book and headed back to the park. As he entered the park he spotted the celestial. He had no choice. He decided to control the minds of four people and they'd block the view of him from the celestial. He was genuinely scared for his life. But it really mattered on what he controlled and the celestial controlled. Too bad he couldn't control a mind of a celestial. That would have been fun.
