Name: Emalia Vitali

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Appearance: https://66.media.tumblr.com/236a1c9b2dfca0dd6d639745ca1997cc/tumblr_prkt6ebG9j1uq0106_1280.jpg

Style: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1f/37/57/1f3757cac31c70170886b6648c247b2a.jpg
She keeps it simple and usually one color. She had found that black goes with pretty much everything and doesn’t stand out of the from the crowd.

Personality: Quiet, observant, blunt with answers, cunning, intelligent, and untrusting

Likes: The dark, silence, being away from the crowd, Italy, the woods, and sometimes she paints

Dislikes: Loud noises/people, the ghosts, America, fire, and crowds

Background: Emalia lived in Italy up until she was ten. It was an alright childhood, she liked it and it was simple. What wasn’t simple was seeing ghosts everywhere. She doesn’t remember when it started or why but she doesn’t like it. The ghosts range from being loud and annoying to just being there and annoying. Emalia feels like she met every person possible by the amount of dead people following her around. Some even think by talking to her they are going to find some way into the afterlife they were always told about but she doesn’t believe in that. She just wants to be left alone. Fast forward to when she was ten, and her father got a job offer in the US. That was the longest family argument Emalia she had seen on a long time, even her Aunt Sarah who didn’t really care for the family drama jumped in and gave her opinion. In the end, the agreement was a yearly trip during the summer. So she packed up her life and hoped the ghosts would stay in Italy. They didn’t. In fact there seemed to be even more in the area she was in which she did not care for. Going into high school, she kept to herself and wasn’t the poplar. So it didn’t help when someone somehow found out she could speak to ghosts and told everyone. After that no one came near her, not even the emos.

Elijah walked through the halls, waving to everyone he saw with a big cheeky smile. A few of his "mates" is what he calls them, ran up to him, one putting him in a tight headlock and ruffling his hair, which was already rather messy. The other punching him in the arm while the other one simply walked beside him quietly. "Hey, guys!" He says in his Australian accent which it was very obvious he had one. He tried to fix his hair once the one friend let go with a laugh. They said a few things about homework and what they were planning on doing after school.
The bell rang throughout the hallways and the four boys looked at each other and off they went into class.

(Sorry its short. I’m in a hurry)

@clovxrblossxm

Emalia sighed as she looked for a parking space near the school. An energetic ghost from the 20's thought it would a fun idea to pester her about what she was doing and thought that 'go away' meant 'please keep talking'. The girl was close to snapping but didn't want to bring more attention to herself. Or at least not more then she already got ever since it was spread around she could see ghost. Now her classmates act as if she has a fatal disease instead of that weird girl from Italy.

She finally found a spot a block away and ran a hand though her hair as the ghost in her passenger seat continued yammering. "Please. I beg of you. Find someone else, anyone else." She begged with desperation laced into her voice. To Emalia's displeasure, the ghost only paused to consider her words before changing the subject. She groans and hits her head against the stirring wheel in defeat. She guess she going to have a ghost following her today. How fun.

Getting out, she hears the bell ring meaning that she has three minutes to get to her locker and then class. Running, the ghost almost got confused on what she was doing before quickly following and asking all questions that came to their mind. Emalia didn't pay any mind to it just focusing on getting to class. As she burst through the door, she caught the attention of the people hanging behind to finish conversations. The crowd was thinning quickly but it still visibly parted as students got out of her way. She continues to ignore both the living and the dead.

He sat in the corner of the front row next to the window, sitting on the sill with a smile as his friends sat around him.
They talked for about 5 minutes before they all departed to their seats. It looked like the teacher would be late. Which everyone in the class was more than fine with that.
He sat in his own when the bell rang, humming to himself a song that he just couldn't get in his head all week.
A girl walked up to him, handing him a small peice of paper, which he took after saying something with a smile.
She walked off with a little smile and Elijah turned back around and put the peice of paper in his pocket right before a girl walked into the classroom.

He turned and looked at the girl as everyone parted their ways for her.
Giving her a kind smile and a wave, as he did every single time he saw her. Hoping she would return the gesture, he never gave up. She had always seemed rather lonely to him. Nobody talked to her and he felt bad.
He always knew why. She was the girl who saw ghosts. Why would anyone talk to her? It was creepy and weird. Nobody would want to be around her. Afraid to get possessed or something like that.
That’s what everyone in the school said. And thought.
But not Elijah. He thought it was rather interesting and every time he saw her, he was dying to talk to her.
But he never could muster up the courage to. Which he never had a hard time doing.
Why couldn’t he talk to her? He never cared about all of the social status’s or popularity.
He was sure he would lose all respect in school if he did talk to her. But he didnt care about that.

Alright… he had decided.
He was going to talk to her after class. He didnt care about his reputation. It bothered him so much seeing someone that lonely. Whether they say they like to be lonely or not.

He stayed turned in his seat, looking at all of the students as they talked together and threw paper footballs across the room. Hitting him smack in the middle of his forehead.
The boy who flicked it at him laughed a little before gesturing Eli to flick it back to him.
Picking it up off of the floor, he rubbed his forehead a little bit before flicking it back to him.
“Darn, i was too caught up in my thoughts to notice.”
He mumbled to himself, a red mark appearing on his forehead

@clovxrblossxm

Emalia groaned as the bell rang when she was right in front of the door. All she can do is hope the teacher isn't there or she might get another detention. It wasn't her fault that she is just a few moments too late. There are people she needs to kick out of her room in the morning which is harder than it sounds. The crowd of people continue to stumble out of her way as she enters the classroom. Nothing new. The ghost keeps yammering but she keeps ignoring. Keeping her head straight ahead, she misses any attempt a person might try to greet her as she isn't actually paying attention to her surroundings. Its not like she is going to run into anyone. But the ghost says something that peaks her interest. "Who is he? Why is he waving at you? Do you actually have friends?…" The ghost continues to spitball questions but Emalia stiffens at the word friend. It wasn't something she had here in the States. So why did the ghost think she did?

Glancing toward where the ghost was staring she caught sight of Elijah. She knew him, sort of. It was more she knew of him. One of the popular guys, the one girls try to catch the eye of, and decent in classes as far as she could tell. They were only in three together but never spoke a word. But it wasn't hard to find him in the hall as a lot of his friends were loud. Was he actually trying to greet her? Or was it someone else behind her? A number of possibilities ran through her head as she takes on last look at him. He wasn't looking at her anymore. More preoccupied with who she assumes is a friend and a paper football.

Shaking her head, Emalia tried to rid herself of the theories of why this ghost thought she was friends with the popular. Making her way to her seat, which is in the front because she is such a "bad" student, she speaks out of the side of her mouth. "Shut up. I don't know him. He was looking at someone else." This statement did not revelate the ghost of their questions, actually it seemed to add to them. Make matters worse, the girl next to her heard and was shooting Emalia a dirty look. Obviously someone wasn't happy to be seated next the weirdo who sees ghosts but absolutely despised the thought of being spoken to by her. Rolling her eyes, Emalia returns the look a bit more of a threatening feel to it. "What? Do you have a problem with me?" She asks the student next to her not really caring for an answer. Pushing a strand of pink hair out of her face, she looks around for the teacher hoping they will hurry up with whatever was they were doing.

Elijah always sat in the very front right next to the window, has been for about 3 years. Everywhere they went. Why?
Well he was good at getting people to like him. So asking the teachers for a certain spot was no problem for him.
It's not that he had to fake being nice to the teachers. He was already nice to everyone constantly. That's why he was popular. He was friends with everyone and everyone liked him. Except for the select few. Why? He had no idea to be honest
He looked over at the ghost girl, hoping to catch her attention when she sat in the front row, as he did every single day. She was quite pretty. Though he found everyone beautiful in their own way.
Silent, shy, maybe sad… He just couldn't read her. She was mumbling to herself? Was she talking to a ghost!? Oh he already was dying to talk to her more.
Just then he saw her talking to a girl, who, yes, he forgot her name. He was never good with names. In fact, it took him a good two months to remember the teachers name!
Giving up on trying to subtly get her attention, he sat back in his seat, running his fingers through his wavy mess of blonde hair. He was well aware he looked like a stereotypical surfer boy. But he was quite the opposite really.
He sighed, and looked out of the window, letting the sun heat up his tan skin with a warm smile, thinking about how he's going to approach ghost girl. Focused on his thoughts, he looked as if he were day dreaming, which he did a lot anyway only to be purposely hit in the back of the head by a paper foot ball again. Though he didn't flinch, too lost in thought to be bothered by his mysterious friends.

@clovxrblossxm

The girl pulls a sour face at Emalia’s words. “Yeah, actually . I got a few problems with you. You know why?” The girl seethed in a voice that Emalia found highly annoying which didn’t mix well with the pestering of the ghost. The ghost seemed to be getting excited and saying stuff like ‘he is looking’ and ‘are you sure you don’t know him’. Emalia tried to suppress a groan but can’t stop the look of sheer annoyance.

“No I don’t know nor do I actually care.” All of her statements were short and to the point. Maybe it was because of years of constant voices talking to her. She has found if you talk to someone desperate for information they will clinge on long than is necessary. But this didn’t sit well with the girl sitting next to her, that Emalia did not care to learn the name of. Her reddening face clashed with her brown hair and started to look like a tomato about to explode. But Emalia did not turn to look at her neighbor as that was way too much attention to give to someone that was looking for a fight.

“Hey! Don’t ignore me! You can’t act so high and mighty. Everyone knows no one likes you.” Emalia just raises an eyebrow and almost turns to look at the girl sitting next to her. It was such a weird route to go and very cheap insults. The ghost was actually quiet for a moment looking between the two fully expecting the pink haired girl to reacted. They were very surprised at the silence and bored look she had gave the girl as she continues to ignore her neighbor. At that point they launch into a bunch of questions on why she wasn’t reacting and similar questions.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Sounds of everyone’s voices in the background, barely hearing anything a soul said, too busy questioning himself.
Why did he want to talk to the pink haired girl so badly anyway?
Nonetheless, he was going to go through with it. But how exactly?
Knowing a loner in general and how they work, they would like to get home or away from everyone as soon as possible. Staying unnoticed by all means necessary.
He didn’t know her one bit, but he just assumed that’s what she would do. If she did he wouldn’t follow her, or else he would seem really creepy. And that was the last thing he would need to happen if he wanted to befriend her.

Taking his hand, he raked both through his hair before turning around and paying attention to the conversation ghost girl and the other girl were having.
Seeming to take no interest at all and note having a care in the world as she spoke to her. She didn’t even glance at the girl! Then it hit him…
What if she’s not interested in being his friend!? Surely not…right?
As the girl talked more, she started to tick him off, and you could tell if you watched him tack his fingers on the desk quickly over and over again, one by one.

“Hey, excuse me” he says to the girl with a kind smile, hoping she would stop.
What was he going to say to her anyway? It wasn’t like he had the power to immediately shut someone up. Man he wished he did right about now….
“Do you know if we had any homework yesterday? Sorry to bother” He asks the annoying girl, though not showing an ounce of annoyance, and more friendliness than anything. Anything to distract her and stall until the teacher came in

@clovxrblossxm

Emalia was as content as she was going to be with the situation. Ignoring her neighbor seemed like the best way to end any interaction quickly. And there was nothing to do about the ghost. She just hopes they burn themselves out soon so maybe the day can have an upside. This is how she expected it go. Ignoring would lead to the girl giving up and the ghost will eventually go away. What she didn't expect was for someone to intervene. The voice that Emalia only somewhat knew spoke to her neighbor. Something about homework.

She couldn't help herself. This was the first time anyone interacted with someone who talking to her. Most students continued to try and stay out of the way or ignore her. Never in a million lifetimes did she expect for someone to intervene. So she turned her head just as the girl next to her did. And for the first time, gave someone her attention that wasn't to catch first. A single eyebrow was raised as she thought over Elijah question. Asking about if they had homework last night? That seemed a bit out of character. Didn't he always have his homework one way or another? Or at least have knowledge of it? Maybe she missed a few details and got his personality wrong. Its not like she got many chances to characterize him. Emalia didn't seek out opportunities to find out people's habits and such. It just happened before the ghost thing got out. People didn't pay attention to her and sometimes not even realizing she was there. There was one time, where she was in an empty room and a group of athletes came in to do something. If it wasn't for a ghost making her knock over some paint, they would have never noticed her. But she digressed. This seemed weird.

The girl next her didn't seem to pick up on anything and started messing with her hair which seemed odd to Emalia but maybe there was an appeal. "Well… there was a bit of reading and maybe a worksheet. But I don't know. Why do you want to know." The girl asked while twirling a stranded of hair around her finger. Emalia had to bring a hand to her mouth to stifle a laugh. The sudden change of personality seemed so amusing to her and apparently the ghost too. THey were laughing and asking the general question of 'what is she doing' and Emalia just shakes her head.

"Be quiet. I want to see where to see where this goes." She mumbles out. But to an outside observer it would just look like she was talking to herself or the air in front of her desk. Shaking her head, the pink hair girl pulls out her sketchbook. Might as well look busy if you are going to eavesdrop. She took out some watercolors and a waterbrush before browsing through the book for an empty image. Although she did tuck her hair behind her ear so she could hear the conversation better.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

"really? " he says with a smile "oh thank goodness. I thought there was a bit more to it that I might have missed. " his voice releived. His Australian accent as apparent as ever, which was usually quite strong. You could always tell he used to live in Australia not to long ago. Which he did. About three years ago he moved over here to America (or wherever we decided for this to take place) when his mother died. As first he wasn't the best at socializing, but he always tried to make friends. He never let his emotions show when he moved here. Though having his mom die, who was the only person he ever had growing up. It jade it quite difficult to hide his pain. Even with himself. It made him feel so weak and that was one of the worst feeling Elijah could have in his opinion.

He glanced over at the pink haired girl, though quick enough for the other girl to not see. Hopefully this was he could earn her trust in a way. Honestly, he had no idea how to get to someone and befriend them. Everyone just comes up to him already calling him their buddy and boom, he had a friend.
But he assumed it wasn't going to be easy with her. But he was dedicated.

He was always quite oblivious to how some girls acted around him, but since he was specifically paying attention to getting her to shut up, he realized almost immediately. Flirty? Shy? Weird? Yeah, weird was definitely the right word to use.
"well anyway, you seemed sweet enough to help me out if I asked, so I did. Sorry if I bothered you any. " he says with a sweet smile, trying not to be too awkward about it.
His bright blue eyes flicked to ghost girl for a few seconds then back at the other girl, hoping she would leave her alone and talk to him.
stall into the teacher comes in
The words replayed over and over behind his smile and blue eyes. The last thing he wanted to do at the moment was talk to her. But if it got her nasty attitude away from Ghost girl over there.

@clovxrblossxm

A smile ghosted Emalia's lips at what had to be fake enthusiasm. She never took him to be someone to talk to her neighbor as he mostly ignore them during class. Not that she held it against Elijah, it was the very different social circles each of them belonged too. Then again, maybe he took interest in the girl and Emalia just missed it. It would be the first time but its not impossible. The ghost were getting more social lately for some reason. Speaking of ghosts, her's current one seemed to have taken a minute of silence to listen to the conversation of the two people. But it didn't last long because when Emalia was unscrewing the cap to her water pen, they spoke. "Why don't you join the conversation? It seems like a free for all. Nothing too personal is being talked about." The ghosted fell into silence waiting for a response. They seemed to be genuinely interested.

Emalia glanced up at the ghost who was staring down at her. She then shifted her focus to Elijah and the girl next to her. The girl seemed to be rambling on about the homework and which people to go to if you need the answers before class. The pink haired girl's lingered longer than intended and snapped her eyes away when she realized it. Staring down to the picture of a forest scenery that she inked a few days ago, she tries to look busy. "So yeah! He is the one to go to for math and he shouldn't charge anything. So like, are you doing anything Saturday?" The words of the girl drifted through Emalia's ears as she squeezes water from the pen into the green. There was a beat of silence and she almost found herself genuinely interested it in his response. It was obvious the girl wanted a date, it was something she talked about often with her friends, but the real question is what Elijah would say. After her secret got out, Emalia got a less of a reading on the popular kids. It was like there was a force blocking her out.

Not that she cared. No, she wasn't one who wanted to be apart of that crowd. But it was interesting to see what they all had in common and what the general school crowd tend to idolize in them. It was different between Italy and America or maybe it was the change of grades. She doesn't know as she hasn't gone to an Italian high school, no matter how hard her grandmother pushes for it. Either way, the popular people seemed like total strangers compared to the other people she "knows" and that is a bit unnerving to her. No amount of observation skills seems to get passed the barrier of a social hierarchy. So Emalia avoid them. No point trying to be near people who don't like you and you hardly know. So Elijah's response is a total mystery until he of course says it. Even the ghost seemed to quiet down to hear it. But to seem less obvious, she starts to paint in the leaves with her water colors.

(So before he dies and becomes a ghost, i kind of want them to develop a little friendship so she could start having feelings for him as i put in the bio thing at the beginning. Does that make sense? Sorry)
(Also what state should they be in. I was thinking by the ocean somewhere?)

He looked away for a bit until his blue eyes went back at the girl who basically just asked him out.
Today was Wednesday, so in three days…. hm. Yep he was busy. Spending his time at the beach. That’s what he called busy. Well in order to not have to go with her to wherever she had in mind.
“Actually i am a bit busy this Saturday. Sorry. Why do you ask?” He apologized as he tapped his foot subtly on the tiled floor of the classroom, the heal of his shoe made the slightest tapping noise that you could only hear if the whole class. Was dead silent.
He didnt want to hurt her feelings, so If she did ask, preferably after class he would most likely say yes. He just wouldn’t think of it as a date. Play dumb, maybe talk about how they’re “friends” ultimately friend zoning her a thousand times without feeling like a jerk. Though he was never good at things like that. No matter what he did, he always felt pretty mean and rude about it.

Just then the teacher walked in, Ms. Potter. A tall lady, in her late 20s. All of the boys loved her. She was quite beautiful. Rather low cut black long-sleeved v-neck and a tight pencil skirt and black heals, her hair was in a bun, which was new. She normally had it down. Curly Brown hair that went Down to her waist and cute straight across bangs that she could usually sweep to the side.
“Hey class!” She says with a bright smile, breathing rather heavy. The back of her ankles, if you payed close enough attention you could see they were bleeding and scraped only a bit.
“I apologize for being so late.” She leaned against her long desk, scooting it over a bit and almost falling. She was always clumsy and funny, though super sweet. There wasn't really anyone in the school that didn't love her.
Regaining her balance and straitening her black glasses with an apologetic smile on her face as she did.
“Anyway, history. Right… like every day” she mumbled to herself before panickingly going through her papers. “Right i graded them last night” her voice as sweet as always. Her lips always that sweet red and her makeup was always very natural. Sometimes it looked like she didn't even have any on.

Elijah laughed quietly before turning back to the girl. “I’ll talk to you after class? Sorry” he says blowing his wavy mess of his blonde hair out of his forehead so it wouldn’t tickle as much, which never helped.

@clovxrblossxm

Emalia let a small grin work its way onto her face. She wasn't one for revenge but this girl has been bothering her for weeks maybe months. So maybe a small dose of rejection would serve her right. Taking a small peek, it was clear as day the disappointment the girl felt. Her face feel and her eyes harden as she thought of an escuse for her question. "Uh… well… you see I think we would be good together and I was hoping maybe we could just spend the day. Just the to of us." The girl stuttered out before gaining more confidence towards the end. She leaned a little forward as if to say more but just then the teacher walked in.

Emalia instantly dropped her smile as not only does that mean the conversation was going to be cut short but she would also have to stop her painting. Sighing, she caps the water pen before softly blowing on the image. It was coming out pretty good so far. The shading of greens was finally cooperating and it looked like there was sun trying to push through the trees. Unfortunately no more color was able to be added and the pink haired girl pushed the image to the edge of her desk to dry.

Paying attention to the teacher, she noticed as Ms. Potter was in the middle of starting class. Emalia found the subject particularly boring especially when she realized she could just ask the ghost. A lot of papers were written with their knowledge in reference which is different from what is written in the textbook as history is a lot of guesswork. Its hard to study for a test when the textbook was proclaiming a self absorbed dude a hero while a person who was there was giving the tale they remember experiencing. So that was probably why her grade was a Caverage as the teachers refuse to accept data outside of the textbook.

Not much could be done but Emalia found it hard to pay attention. She starts to doodle in her notebook as the teacher starts her lesson. The ghost seeing girl just couldn't bring herself to pay attention and the ghost next to her was finally quiet. Which was odd. Confused, Emalia glanced up to see the ghost moved to her left and was staring at the teacher intently. Their expression was hard to pin point but if she were guess it was sad. "Hey. You okay?" She whispers hoping there was nothing to wrong with them. They just shrugged without a word.
