Landy sighed and got up. He noticed a picture of him with his dad. It was a picture his mom took when he first played to his dad. "I miss them…" He started crying but went to his room.

Two whole years and Alex still wasn’t over all the damage he had caused. Most days it hurt to even think about his name. He rolled over on his side.

Landyn sighed as he laid down. after a while, he slowly drifted to sleep

He lay there, all the bad memories washing over him. He could almost feel the bruises, and the scrapes, trying to tear him apart. He scarcely registered the tears rolling down his face.

Landyn was dreaming about the day his parents died

And that was how sleep came, fitful, filled with nightmares and wounds that never seemed to heal.

Landyn woke up and noticed what time it was. "Too early…"

Great…it was only 5 in the morning….he sighed, rolling over and praying more sleep would come.

Landyn got up anyways and changed clothes.

Alex lay there, unfortunately wide awake, watching the sun slowly creep into the room.

Landyn grabbed his ukelele and walked to the park again

Finally he gave up on sleep. Remembering Landyn, he quickly grabbed his phone. “Morning”

Landyn messaged instantly.

Alex smiled at his quick response. “I see we both have a habit of getting up way too early.”

I had a nightmare actually…

“We have so many things in common it’s almost scary….” he typed back

Kinda is…Anyways what are you doing?

“Just gave up the battle of trying to go back to sleep so I’m just in bed right now.” He was relieved that Landyn didn’t ask why he was having nightmares.

I'm heading to the park…So quiet right now.

“Be careful.”
