It hurt, but Alex just let him go.
It hurt, but Alex just let him go.
Landyn was holding his jacket sleeves again. "you're an idiot Landyn…" He said a little to loud so he was audible to Alex
‘He’s hurting himself again…isn’t he…?’ He felt his eyes fill with tears.
Landyn noticed his uncle. "Uncle Jojo!" he said running up to him.
He sat back, pulling his hood over tighter. He doesn’t need me.
When he hugged his uncle he broke down crying.
‘Why are you still watching him…just leave…he probably doesn’t want to see you anyway…’
His uncle looked at him. "Landyn what's wrong…"
"I-I made the only boy I like hate me…"
‘He really does care about me….and I pushed him away…’ he thought to himself, full of self-loathing.
Jojo pet Lanndyn's head trying to calm him down. "What makes you say that?"
"I-I wanted to help him and…I made things worse…"
‘You should say something…’ he thought to himself. But all he could do was sit there uselessly as tears silently rolled down his face.
"Also…I'm also mad at myself…I broke the ukelele mom and dad gave to me…"
‘You never should’ve left him alone, dang it Alex. We’re so useless!!!’
"Landyn…That ukelele was old…We can get you a new one."
"You don't understand, do you. YOUR OWN BROTHER, M-My dad…Gave me that ukelele a week before he was murdered."
The poor thing…this is all your fault Alex. Everything is always your fault.
Jojo flinched. "Landyn."
Landyn stormed off back in the direction he came from.
He stood up from where he’d been sitting. He paused, ‘what are you doing, Alex?’
Landyn held his shoulder clearly upset.
He hesitated a second before pulling out his phone. “I’m sorry” he typed, quickly sending the message to Landyn.
Landyn froze looking at his phone breaking down completely when he saw the message.
He didn’t know what else to say so he just waited for a response.
After calming down he messaged.
Don't be…
“Why shouldn’t I be?! Everything was my fault just like always. You can’t convince me otherwise…” he typed out furiously.
He looked at the message.
Your not the one who lost control of his emotions and destroyed the only gift left from their parents.
“That’s basically my fault too though…”
