Not a Necromancer. At least not like me. Was the first thought in Nathan's head. The second, was that Reikei was way out of his league and that the girl was slightly terrifying.

Reikei would have agreed. He stilled completely as his blood ran cold, eyes locked on the skeleton moving around her. That fear that had threatened to choke him while trapped returned, like ice in his veins. So that was what she did. Something to do with bones and fear. Trapping people and fear. And those were a bad combo for him. The light in his arm was growing warm, and holding it there too long would cause issues, so he used that as something to focus on. Light. Ignore the fear, focus on your light. "Damn. So what exactly is it you do, Sunshine?" Through some miracle, his voice didn't shake at all, even if he was shaking.

"I suppose you'll see," she said, grabbing at his fear and using that to summon, two, three more. Now four skeletal creatures swarmed her, some horses, some humans; one creature was beyond normal reality as if it was a hodgepodge of whatever it could scrap together to make a body. Her hair whipped back and forth, stinging her cheeks.

She could create more, but she used the excess fear from Reikei to amp up their power. Muscles and tendons appeared on the ghostly green ghouls, and they all screamed and roared in victory and delight, hungry for some bloodletting. Still, Rasha's face remained blank.

Reikei found himself wanting desperately to curl up and hide his face. Those skeletons looked exactly like something from the nightmares that had plagued him since he was younger, the ones that had always felt just a tiny bit too real. But he couldn't. Not in front of all his classmates. Not in front of his best friend, who already lived in a constant state of fear. If he can, so can I. "Damn. That's some party trick ya got there, Sunshine. Too bad I gotta try and get rid of it." He quipped cheerily, letting loose the light he'd been holding back, bathing the arena in a bright wash of the light.

Rasha hissed at the sudden light, her skeletal pets echoing her in their fury at being blinded. Their handler pulled on their reigns, forcing them back so they didn't murder the poor kid. Bring him to his knees. Subdue, do not harm, she ordered with a firm and commanding voice, then crouched down and pressed the tips of her fingers into the ground to get her bearings and shield herself from the light. Her body naturally attempted to counter Reikei's light by emitting more of its own, the ghostly color pulsating from her markings in the rhythm of her surprisingly calm heartbeat. She fed off of her opponent's fear, could practically taste it on her tongue like the copper of blood. The spirits screamed and shot forward, using his soul as a way to navigate.

Luca hunched his shoulders and guiltily looked over at Nathan. "Sorry to say, but your friend ain't winnin' this one." He knew Rasha well, and her spirits could hardly be deterred by light. They were dead after all, and likely strengthened by any negative emotions Reikei had going through his head.
