That’s alright. I do the same thing sometimes (and my descriptions are usually super simple anyway, like with Edimay, unless I’ve been working on them for a while). So, what kind of setting, to start with at least?

And I just had a thought. I could actually make a mini figure of Edimay. You ever heard of Hero Forge? Really neat custom mini figure website.

Don’t mind me, spontaneous inspiration is nothing new for me.

I have a ton of characters on Hero Forge!
But, anyway, that sounds cool. Maybe a forest outside the town, with a road going through the forest to other settlements? Ooh, and some ruins hidden in the forest, even that abandoned temple.

On the island of Coscaslands it was always raining, or at least it seemed liked it to Ky. It had a dense forest and he always was curious how people could live here? There was no big city or towns. It was almost deserted, besides the few small villages around the land. Ky himself was surprised he was here, but to get away he ended up here. The rain felt like little pellets hitting his skin, especially the raw area around his arm. His blood mixed with the rain dripped down his arm. Black hair covered his eyes making it hard to see. It wasn't night but the clouds spread across the sky like smoke, so it didn't help. "Damn!" Ky muttered under his breath. Why now? Why had he come to bother him now. The last time he had come was when Ky was five. That sick, disgusting creature was back and haunting him, never leaving his side. The walk was long and there was no shelter in sight. The ground seemed to swirl underneath his feet, the wound wasn't even that bad, though the mixture of lack of sleep didn't help. First it was his left leg, then the right and soon enough his body hit the ground. With the last bit of strength he had, Ky managed to drag himself through the mud and underneath a willow tree. He still felt the rain, though it wasn't as much.
(Sorry it's not the best. I'm a bit rusty.)

Pic isn’t loading.
And you’re good, though it is tricky to read with no visible paragraphs.

Edimay, camped nearby and eating a stew she had just made, noticed the man crawling to the willow. She contemplated looting him, but decided to watch instead.

She checked for her weapons, a hand-carved bow, a quivers of arrows she had made herself, and her old shortsword. They lay in reach, propped up on a root to keep them from getting waterlogged. Nodding in satisfaction, she turned back to gazing at the man, though the weapons had never moved since she made camp, and she habitually checked for them anyway.

She appraised the man from her seat, wondering if he was wounded or if it was just the distance and rain playing tricks on her eyes. She also checked for any followers. How many times had she had seen a poor innocent chased by highwaymen and cut down just for their tiny pouch of gold? Too many, though she couldn’t remember the exact number.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(That makes sense. I'll do that. I've been packing today to head back home and I'm about to get on a plan, that's why I haven't answered yet, sorry.)

@Fantasy-Illy!

(Sorry I got busy.)

Blood colored the green grass red. Ky wished he could just die, it would all be over if he just died. Even better, Ky thought it would've been better if he weren't born in the first place.

His eyes looked through the blowing vines of the willow, it was the first time he had seen an elf, well this close up at least. What was she doing? Did she not notice him?

"Hey!" He half yelled, though it came out hoarse . With a small smile he greeted her. Hopefully she would be kind enough to help. The temple, he had to get there. And if she could help, that would be nice.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Got worried for a sec, but you’re good. And just a little pointer, I don’t know if you missed it or anything, and not being mean whatsoever, horse = hoarse. This way you know. Don’t mind me, I’m a spelling nut, lol!)

Edimay paused at the sound of his call. Did she dare get up? He clearly saw her, but still. Who knew what lurked in his trail?

She finished her bowl of stew, then stared at him for a few more moments. If she approached him, she would then be responsible for him. But, if she didn’t approach him, he would likely die before the storm passed.

She could wait until then and loot him. Edimay had done it before. But, none of them had ever noticed her. Damn his eyes! She didn’t want him to watch her as he died.

Edimay sighed, gathered her weapons, checked her surroundings, and cautiously approached him. She paused on the other side of the willow from him.

“What is your name and what wounds do you have? If you have the strength to speak, I bid you to tell me before I help you.”

@Fantasy-Illy!

Nah, you're good. If you see anything like that don't be afraid to correct me. It helps with my writing and I also need to work on accepting good criticism. (The other word totally left my brain 😂)

"I didn't know you needed to know someone's name before helping them." A small chuckle escaped his lips. What kind of person asks that? Lifting his shirt he exposed a deep cut in his side. This was the wound that made him collapse, he's lost a lot of blood from it already. If she wasn't there, he would have died for sure.

"I also have one on my left arm near my shoulder." As she stood near he watched her closely. This person could be here to finish the job, he couldn't trust her so easily. His Dark red eyes looked into hers. It was almost like looking into the king of demons eyes.

Ky tried to lighten the mood with a smile, he wasn't sure if it was working though. "Can I ask your name? It's only right if I know yours as well." The damn rain made it hard to hear. Oh how he wished it would stop.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Cool, and same here. If you find any mistakes, just let me know).

Edimay appraised his wounds carefully, keeping one eye on her surroundings as well. What had attacked him? Did he kill it, or did it escape?

Her lips curved into a deeper frown every time he smiled. Why was he trying to smile in this dreary situation of his? Being friendly with her wouldn’t help. She just didn’t want to be watched by a dying man, and he definitely was dying.

And the audacity of him to ask for her name first! He lay dying, at her mercy, and he decides to be impertinent? The nerve!

“Your name first, then I will tell you mine,”Edimay stated.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Ky frowned and sighed, this girl was difficult. With all the girls he's met, she was the kind he didn't know how to deal with. "Ky, my name's Ky. Now may I know your name?"

She was careful when tending to him, but he couldn't help but flinch every time she touched him. His body steadily started to go numb. Blood ran down his cheek, Ky thought it was the rain at first, till he realized it was warm. I'm not going to die am I? No, they wouldn't let that happen.

Trying to speak only made it worse. There have only been a handful of times when Ky felt truly scared. This, this was one of those times.

He could feel himself dying. Weren't Elves good with healing? That's what most are known for. Was she purposely letting him die? But why? It made no sense. Unless…

Ky's eyes shot over to hers, searching for any ill intent. The fog that hung around mixed with his blurred vision made it impossible to tell.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Names = Name’s. Also ‘This, this is one of those times’, it kind of throws me off, I understand it, but maybe ‘was’ instead of ‘is’ would make more sense, just to match the past tense of the paragraph)

Her eyes narrowed at his sigh and tone, but she could do nothing about it. If he wanted to be difficult, she could be just as difficult.

“My name is Edimay.”

She noticed how he seemed to be getting faint and realized she needed to be quick. Muttering to herself about wasting bandages, she rushed to her camp where she had her pack, and rummaged around in it. She grabbed as many bandages and herbs as she could handle, then hurried back to Ky’s side.

She first made a poultice from the herbs, whispering a little chant to make them more potent. That was about the extent of her knowledge on magic. Then, she smeared the poultice on his wounds and covered it with bandages.

“Bandages and herbs is about all I can do for now. But, I do know a place a day’s march from here. It’s not too friendly with strangers, but they know me. Their medicine woman can tend you better than I can in the wilderness. However, I cannot and will not carry you the entire way,”she explained with a stern tone.

(Does a day’s march work for you, or do you want it a bit closer?)
