(ikr- but also I gotta nice little surprise-)
Carlos had no response to the water. Well…not until he stiffened and started shaking violently. He made a pitiful sounding noise and he fell to the ground. Carlos soon started thrashing, his eyes rolling back. It was clear that the impact of his head with the wall had triggered a seizure.
Carlos had to deal with seizures ever since he was a baby. He had early signs of seizures by the age of 2, and the symptoms only worsened as he grew older. By the time he was 4, he was having violent seizures and ‘fits’ that would leave him injured. One time when he was 13, he had to be rushed to the hospital after he fell from his bed and cracked his skull on his bedside table. His father had learned to keep him on a bed that was as close to the floor as possible, and to make sure nothing was there that could hurt him.
The boy had always found it funny that his fathers ‘base’, as he liked to call it, was basically “Carlos proofed”. That’s what everyone called it anyways. He took it as the funniest joke he’s ever heard. He loved his father, but that poor man was way too paranoid when it came to his son. He understood though…he knew his fathers profession. It came by nature.
As Carlos fell, he landed in the strangers lap. It was a good thing too. He did not need even more damage to his head than he already had.
