So, this is based off of a short story I wrote about 5 years back. Not proud of it, but I want to build off of it, see how long this lasts.

A long time ago, when the world was still new, the Elementals were born. Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. Powerful, ruthless, emotionless deities, they rampaged and destroyed. They were held back by the Seer, the Eye of the Gods, who knew their every move and stopped them, destroying them… but not their power. Four kids were destined to get the power of these rogue gods… for a cost.

"Every action has a consequence. You need to remember that. But you won't, will you? You just act in the moment, not thinking about what it means for the future. And then you regret it. Why?Because you didn't think it through. Every action has its consequences."

Now, aliens are coming through the sky. They are taking over, and the world is in chaos. Before, aliens were only ideas, characters in stories that everyone had laughed at. Before, they were talked about carelessly, as if not very important, or not an issue. Before, laughter was allowed, and no one lived in fear. Before, everyone was alive.

But this was not Before. This was After. People were dead, or in hiding. There were stories of death, and being found out, by the aliens who had torn a hole in the very fabric of Earth's reality. People were still being found, by the creatures called Racers, daily. It was rumored that the secret police of the Racers, the Finders, who were said to be telepaths, were to thank for that. It could also be the fact that they had such advanced technology. Earth had thought that they were advanced - the Racers were even more so.

When the creatures take over the hideout where they are, five children manage to escape… the same ones who were destined to receive the power of the Elementals. The fifth is the direct descendant of the seer… and she knows what the others do not… about the consequences. As the five travel over the land, to find an ancient temple dedicated to the four gods, their powers start to emerge.

Maybe they'll finally have a fighting chance.

Maybe they'll win.

Maybe everything an go back to normal.

Or maybe not.

Who knows?

Jut you need to remember: "Every action has a consequence." And this is no less.

Powers: Flynn can bring fire from thin air, since fire is far and few between these days. She can control most forms, be it fire, lava or magma. On occasions she can manipulate obsidian, but it takes a bit of energy and focus. She can also form weapons by manipulating magma and hardening it. She must be able to visualise the weapon and have enough time to make it (typically only a minute or so), otherwise it won't work properly.
Personality: Flynn is pretty laid back. She can be seen as having a short temper, but in reality it takes a lot to push her over - she just bottles her anger, so when something triggers it, it all comes out. She is relatively confident and defiant, stepping up when she needs to. She is extremely reliable and a fairly good leader - she will listen to you.

Appearance
Hair: Flynn's hair is straight and reaches the middle of her back. It is originally ginger, though she dyes it a dark red. The red has slowly started to grow out of her hair as she has neglected to redye it. She normally puts it in a simple ponytail, occasionally doing a braid.
Basic Body Shape: Flynn has a pretty average body shape. She isn't too skinny but she's not curvy. She has a slight hourglass, but her waist is noticeable as one.
Physical Flaws: Flynn would argue that her height is a physical flaw. She is quite short, standing at around 138cm. This wouldn't be a problem except she's 19, and almost everyone is taller than her, even some 13 year olds. She hates it.
Preferred Clothing: Flynn wears whatever fits and is comfortable. Her wardrobe is full of jeans, plain t-shirts, hoodies and sneakers.
Face: Flynn has light skin, the average peach colour. She has a few freckles here and there but not much more than the next person. She has thin lips, a little thinner than most people's lips are. Her nose is most similar to a Grecian nose. Flynn has heterochromia iridium - her left eyes is brown and her right eye is a split between blue and green.
Distinguishing Features: Flynn would probably say her eyes. She thinks they're unusual even if quite a few people have them - they're one of the only things special about her.

Backstory: Despite what her name suggests, Flynn has always been female. Her parents were both certain on having a boy that they didn't think of any girl names. When the labour process was over and Flynn was discovered as female, they couldn't be bothered to give her a different name. So she became Peter-Flynn, though she went as Flynn.
Flynn is the older of two, essentially being the mother of her younger sister. Her parents are never home, so she was forced to look after her little sister instead, since she was old enough to do so. Though, she doesn't believe 10 is old enough to start being a mother.

Powers: Farren has the ability to "predict' the weather, though he knows he has slight control over it. He takes pride in his ability to play with energy. Essentially, he has the power to conjure lightning bolts. When he loses control of his emotions, the weather tends to mirror them.
Personality: Farren is very happy-go-lucky. He has the ability to make people smile for the simplest of reasons. He spends most of his time in his thoughts - daydreaming. He cares a lot about others and always seems to know what to say.

Basic Body Shape: He is tall for his age, standing 6'4". He is lean with an athletic build.
Physical Flaws: Farren hates how his ribs stick out. He's not scrawny, but his ribs stick out. He is always self-conscious about it.
Preferred Clothing: Farren's wardrobe consists of ripped jeans, sweatshirts, running shoes, and canvas shoes (vans, converse, etc.). He also has a lot of graphic t-shirts and flannels.
Face: He is naturally pale, but as the weather gets warmer he obtains a nice tan. His face is scattered with freckles. Farren's eyes are a pale blue that looks bright in the sun. Unlike his hair, his eyebrows are dark brown.
Distinguishing Features: On the left side, below his lower lip, he has a long scar that runs down to his chin.

Powers: Can construct weapons of earth with enough concentration (although these disintegrate when he loses physical contact with them), communicate (imperfectly) with some animals, encourage quick growth of nearby plant life, and can send tremors through the earth to knock things (or people) over. He can even, with massive amounts of energy, manipulate the surrounding terrain (although this almost always results in him falling unconscious).
Personality: Overall he can come across as a bit of a pushover, as he doesn't often react to things that don't affect him. However, he's willing to go to great lengths to defend what's important to him, and he's not above being petty to get back at someone who has wronged him. He likes to let others hash out their issues, but he'll share his opinion if he thinks it could be of value.

Appearance
Hair: About shoulder length and rugged, light brown.
Basic Body Shape: Lean, kind of a wine glass figure, and about 5'11".
Physical Flaws: He doesn't like the bags that seem to live under his eyes.
Preferred Clothing: Khaki shorts and a tank top with slits in the sides.
Face: Fairly tanned skin, but pale in places the sun doesn't typically reach. His eyes are a clear, underwhelming blue, and he has a decently well-defined jaw shape.
Distinguishing Features: Nothing about him really stands out, which he likes.

Personality: Kind and cheerful, Holly loves making people feel good. She hates it when people are sad, but doesn't really know how to make them feel better. But she tries. She knows that everyone has a story, and tries to treat everyone equally, but it can be hard. She never shares anything about herself unless she has to, because she feels like she'd be imposing on other people. She may seem innocent and naive, but she has a wicked sense of humor, and loves to make others laugh. She's also brutal, too, when she wants to be. She loves to make friends, and to keep them, but it is mentally exhausting for her. She is very clever, with all the books she's read, but rarely shows it, or brags.

Appearance
Hair: Long and wavy, with a bit of curl. It's blonde, the color of melted gold, and shines when light is on it. She rarely puts it up, chosing to keep it down, as it is less work for her to do.
Basic Body Shape: Slender and curvy. She has the perfect body shape, petite, a little bit like a doll. She is very short, though, a sourse of annoyance for her, because she can never reach anything.
Physical Flaws: Her height, and a few freckles on her nose. Her fingers are slightly croked from holding a pencil, and a few scars she gathered over her childhood.
Preferred Clothing: Leggings and longer shirts, usually. Tennis shoes, and hoodies. She likes to wear anything big for her, because it makes her feel safe and held.
Face: Pretty and petite, with delicate features, like a doll. She has a small nose, wide, innocent green eyes, and plump lips. Her skin is pale, but not sickly, and she has a few freckles on her nose, and a faint scar above her eyebrow.
