Varin sat at his table, speaking in a hushed tone to his royal adviser. Varin stood up with a huff when a servant whispered in his ear, his new servant would be arriving in a few minutes and he needed to be in his room to give the servant the key.

Nicholas thanked the buggie driver, tipping him before grabbing his bag, hopping gallantly out of the vehicle and onto the marvellous stone work of the entrance of where he’d be serving for the next few years. The palace was huge and devine even from the outside, the stone and large white pillars which stood at the front of the house making a slight ignorant nervousness wash over his mind. He pushed his honey gold hair out of his face and made his way to the doors, not letting the pit in his stomach deprive him of doing his job.
