"I don't know." Katsumi said quietly, letting Jayden wipe at her makeup. "I just…don't want to feel like this. Used, tossed aside."
Gray, who'd been leaning against the wall quietly, spoke up. He knew he wouldn't be too much help with this, as he hadn't really dated at all, but he wanted to. "What if we beat his ass out at B.o.B?" He suggested jokingly, trying to cheer his friend up.
Jayden glanced at Gray for a second and smiled a bit, playing along. "We can both be the singers and do duets," They replied, still wiping off the makeup.
Mikhail finally said something, it was short but at least he got something out. "I'll be the guitarist, I have a guitar at my apartment. I also have an extra room we could probably make our studio."
"I'm pretty good at keeping a beat." Gray added, grinning down at Katsumi, who's lips had quirked up into a wobbly smile. "And I got a drumset seven years ago that's been sitting in the garage at mom's place."
Katsumi huffed a small laugh, reaching up to wipe at the makeup herself. Her tears had slowed to a complete stop now, though the puffy redness would need a bit longer. "We'd need a name. Something cool and secretly stupid, to us." She paused, thinking, and then she and Gray spoke at the same time.
"Double Dare."
Jayden couldn't help but look a bit confused. "How is that stupid to us?" They asked, tilting their head slightly to the left in confusion. Obviously they were a bit confused, but they couldn't care less about that, considering Katsumi has calmed down and she seemed to have cheered up a bit.
"You remember Jake Niccols' party last year?" Matthias asked, earning a half laugh, half groan from Katsumi. "When Queenie got drunk as hell and I double dared her to steal his microwave?"
"I still have the damn thing. It's on top of that minifridge in my shed." Katsumi said, referring to the large garden shed she'd re-purposed into a room in place of her room in her house.
(Sorry about that! My aunt's family came over and they wouldn't let my get on my laptop, I'll get a response up soon sorryyy)
Jayden couldn't help chuckle, happy that Katsumi seemed to be better now and at what Gray had said. "Why do you still have it?" They asked, brushing a piece of hair out of their face.
"Do you even use it anymore? Or is it just a souvenir now?" Mikhail asked, wanting to talk and not be quiet the whole time for some reason. Probably because he was nervous, considering he tended to rant or spew nonsense when he got nervous.
