"…The fuck do you mean I summoned you?" She asked sharply, putting her bass to the side and standing up. "I'm just trying to get a song done!"
"…The fuck do you mean I summoned you?" She asked sharply, putting her bass to the side and standing up. "I'm just trying to get a song done!"
Apollyon broke into a soft laugh, which was low and gruff.
"That's exactly what you did sweetheart." He said, faint tears coming from the corner of his eyes.
"You summoned me with your song!" He said loudly, sweeping his arms wide open in a look what you've done. Gesture
"I was just making sure it sounded okay? You were supposed to be a verse about conservatives trying to censor music by causing religious panic!" She said, running a hand through her hair. "Stupid fucking translations-"
"hey now young lady, watch your tone and language." He said with a grin.
He lowered himself, until his feet touched the ground.
"We don't want those conservatives getting their panties in a twist." He added with a bellowing laugh.
He went around the room, touching things lightly with his fingers and when he circled back to where he was before, he retracted his horns into the skin on his head, and suddenly he was in his human form.
"First of all, you do not tell me how to speak in my own home." She snapped. "Second of all-you expect me to believe I accidentally managed to write some incantation to summon a demon? Really?"
Apollyon shrugged slightly.
"You can believe it or not, but it doesnt change the fact that you did it." He said angrily, turning around, and scoffing to himself "stupid humans, all i wanted to do was spend my day eating and enjoying myself, but noooooo" he said quietly to himself.
He turned back to her, a crooked smile on his lips "can I please have some food, i'm quite starving, I was just about to consume food before you summoned me here." He said softly.
Merriment sighed, walking to the kitchen. "You better like instant ramen, because that's all I've got."
Apollyon laughed before shutting his mouth quickly.
"Anything is fine with me, as long as its food." He said with a lopsided grin.
"Good." She said, getting out a small pot and a packet of ramen .
Apollyon settled himself onto the sofa, his body sinking into its cushions slightly, he looked around warily.
"Nice place you got here, more appealing than mine." He quietly.
"Thanks." She said, a little awkward, not very used to having a literal demon in her dingey little apartment.
"so Merriment, why are you writing a song in latin?" he asked politely, his eye's scanning the apartment with greedy, observing eyes.
"I think you could write songs just as well in english." He said matter-of-factly.
"No one else is doing it." She said, shrugging as she waited for the water to boil. "We're playing rock n roll like almost every other band on the scene, metal like half of those bands. Ya gotta do something that will make you stick out in people's minds."
Apollyon gave a swift nod and smiled.
"Ah, good point, thinking outside the box are we?" he teases innocently.
"good for you, I think people will love the song." He says quietly "just maybe change the lyrics slightly in some parts so everyone who sings it to themselves doesn't also summon a demon." He adds with his pointer finger in the air.
"That's the plan." She said, dropping the noodles in.
Apollyon nodded and slumped further down, crossing his legs at the ankles.
"I like your apartment a lot." He said "I know I already said I liked it but I think I love it, very homey." He repeated
"Thanks." She said, draining out some water before adding the little flavor packet.
Apollyon sat silently, taking in his new surroundings and trying to figure out how he could get home.
