Out came a program for lonely people to get pen pals from all over the world. Receive an address, send a letter, and make a new friend.
The plot is how our characters go from writing each other about their daily lives and events, to actually meeting someday, somehow.
That's it, that's the premise.
Rules:
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s
Please watch your grammar and spelling
The length of your reply is kinda important, as we're writing letters to each other and trying to actually hold conversations and talk about our days. Don't make 'em too short is what I'm saying
Be respectful, considerate, you know the drill
I can change or update these at any time
I can say no to anyone
I want to see an example of your rp style, please!
While your chara doesn't have to be human, they have to live somewhere on earth, with an actual address
We don't have to reply quickly, but we must reply thoroughly. Quality over quantity.
No ghosting please! If you're not into it, just tell me I won't be mad. If you just never reply, I will assume you're planning to.

How did they see the ad? (paper, radio, tv, magazine, etc)
Can I see an rp example? :D
(Oh, I completely forgot about this, my mind blanked. I can get a sample up tonight or tomorrow)
(Sosorry, normally I'm not this pushy, but I'm really excited about this one, and really want to get it started. Are you still interested?)
(oh damn I thought I posted here. I'm so sorry, I can get a sample up today)
(It's okay! I'm just making sure ^^)
Lee paced back and forth across the room, their long auburn hair trailing behind them. They glanced out the window, at the horrors that awaited outside, then back at the child sitting in front of them.
What do I do? I can't just leave a kid alone. That's pure evil.
Lee sighed, their blue eyes narrowed. They smoothed their shirt out, and extended a hand to the child.
"You can stay," they said. "My name's Lee. What's yours?"
(is this good?)
(fffffff that's awesome!!! :D You're a really good writer O.O Happy to have you on board! ^^
So I'm thinking this will work sorta like both our characters send a letter introducing themselves, and then we basically just have them write letters back and forth with each other about their day, or whatever crops up ^^ I'm really feeling something soft and pure xD Go ahead and post your character, and you can already write the the letter as well if you want. Letters can be all in italics if you also want to narrate your character's thoughts and actions while writing it ^^ I'll do mine as well! ^^ I hope all of that made sense, I probably made it way more complicated than it needed to be, but if you have any questions, just shoot em over :))
Alright, I'll get my character up as soon as I can!
Character's Name: Azami Centero

Other: She lives with her older brother, Ace.
How did they see the ad?: Azami was looking through the newspaper when she found the ad.
The name YOU'D like to be called: Oakley/any variation of that, I'm really not picky
Character's Name: Dakota Royal
Age: 40 something
Personality: Laid-back, quiet, sarcastic, a little less social than most asocial people
Other: Don't ask me why Dakota decided to have a pen pal. Maybe they finally got lonely? Maybe they…yeah, I have no clue
How did they see the ad? Probably saw it on the internet when they were researching something, and decided to give it a go.
Dakota frowned at the paper, wondering how the fresh heck one was supposed to start a letter to a penpal. Well, whatever, they'd just make a guess. It's not like the rest of their life was all that more informed, so guessing at something wouldn't be anything new. The ad had recommended introducing yourself, and adding some details so that seemed like a place to start.
Dear penpal,
My name's Dakota. I live in Nebraska, on a farm. I have way too many animals, so if I take a while to reply, it's because I have no time. Weather's been nice here. I'll be honest, I really don't have any idea of what to write. But hi, or whatever. Nice to meet you.
Yep, that's all I got, talk soon, I suppose.
~ Dakota
Azami looked at the paper and sighed. "Ace?" she yelled, "What am I supposed to write?"
Her brother called back from the other room. "Introduce yourself, say hi."
Azami nodded, and picked up her pen.
Dear Dakota,
I'm Azami. It's nice to meet write to you. I live in New York City with my older brother, Ace. I'm 21 years old, and… what else am I even supposed to write? I don't really know, so this'll be the end of my letter, I guess.
Looking forward to your next letter!
- Azami
P.S. Ace says hi.
Hi Azami
Yeah, I have no idea what to do here either. What's New York like? I've never been there. I've…never been outside the midwest, actually. Tell Ace hi also, whoever that is.
I feel like these need to be longer, so I guess I'll tell you about my day.
It was stormy out today, and I think my pony's arthritis was feeling worse because of it. She was extra bad about her medication, which normally she's only pretty bad about.
I think she broke my finger, honestly.
Anyways, I also have a chicken named Incompetent, and she's currently stuck in my tractor. I need to get her out before I go to bed tonight, since I wanna drag my road tomorrow. I also haven't seen my roosters all day, Bully and Major. I think they were probably chasing around my hinny then got lost when it got dark. Birds are more trouble than they're worth.
Also before I go. The cows are all down by the mudhole. I think they’re still following Appletree around, but that highland’s as lost as it gets. I’ll have to show her around the pen tomorrow so she doesn’t wander right into the barbed wire. Cows are also more trouble than they’re worth. And my finger hurts.
Anyway, that's all I got for ya. I still don't know what I'm doing.
~ Dakota
Dear Dakota,
New York is pretty cool, I guess. Although, it's loud. And crowded. And polluted. But it's still home. Plus, there's good ramen here. You have a lot of animals on your farm, how can you take care of all of them? I hope your finger gets better.
Anyway, I just got back from work. I work at a bar, by the way. It's one in the morning right now. Ace is sleeping, so I'm pretty much alone now. I'm not much of a writer, so my letters'll probably be pretty short.
I should probably get some sleep, so this is it for now.
