“Yeah..” Kieran scratched at the nape of his neck. “I’ll see you.”
“Yeah..” Kieran scratched at the nape of his neck. “I’ll see you.”
(Skip?)
(Sure, to Luther’s place?)
(yeah, you wanna start?)
This was the third time Kieran let his hand drop instead of dialling the number on the paper in front of him.
The apartment building was locked—you had to call the person you were visiting via an old, dented phone and a four-digit number displayed on a piece of laminated paper fixed to the wall. But minutes were trickling by like seconds, and the poor buy still couldn't quite muster the courage to call.
Luther, thankfully, had just finished getting dressed when an old woman knocked on his door. With a soft sigh he opened it to find his landlady complaining about someone standing in front of the door, seemingly looking for him. With a sigh, he went down to the first floor before opening the front door, smiling a little when he saw Kieran. "Hello there. Long time no see?" he joked lightly
Kieran's head snapped up at the sound of the familiar voice. The disoriented look cleared almost immediately from his eyes and was instantly replaced with nervousness. "Hey," he greeted, clearing his throat awkwardly.
"Would you like to come up? It's alright, I don't bite," Luther teased lightly. He seemed to be relatively calm on the outside, but he was freaking out just as much on the inside
Kieran gave a tentative nod, regarding the other man closely. "How are you?"
"Good. I hope you didn't get stuck out here for too long, the system's been needing replacing for years," Luther said, moving to the side a little to keep the door open
"I only arrived a few minutes ago, so it's fine," he answered, ducking his head a little as he properly entered the building.
Luther just nodded, leading him up the rickety stairs towards his apartment. It was well-decorated for being so trashy, though, which at least helped a little
Kieran's eyes skittered anxiously from wall to wall as they entered the apartment, taking in his surroundings. He was silent at first, slightly daunted by the foreign environment.
(Sorry for taking forever to respond, but I’m on a trip so it’s gonna be a bit before I can, probably like 2 more days-ish)
