"Four more laps to go! Can't wait to pick were we're going!"

“That’s what you think!”

"Then prove it!" She grinned, turning to run backwards as she passed L.

((OMG I FINALLY ACTUALLY HAVE TIME FOR THIS YAY

“Whatever Rookie! We both know you have low stamina!” She yelled.

"That's so rude! And low stamina or not, I'm faster than you in short bursts!" Rook flipped her off over her shoulder, returning to a more regulated pace, still faster than L.

L rolled her eyes, speeding up a bit but not much.

She was singing Eye of The Tiger under her breath, and slowly grew louder.

L was slowly gaining on her, saving her speed for the very end.

"Rising UP to the challenge of our rivaaals!" Rook sang, not too concerned about L.

L chuckled before speeding ahead of her. “Bye babe”

"Whatever!" She stuck to her pace, waiting for the last lap to come up.

L smiled over her shoulder, not pushing herself too hard.

About a quarter into the last lap, Rook suddenly burst past L, belting Eye of The Tiger at the top of her lungs as she ran.

L swore loudly and sped up to catch her. “DAMMIT ROOK”

"And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night! And he's watching us all with the eeeeeeye-" She sang, ignoring L as she pushed a bit harder. "-of the tigeeeer!"

L was gaining on her bit by bit.

"Ba! Ba ba ba! Ba ba ba! Ba ba baaaaaa!" Rook was close, and debated just jumping the last bit.

L was next to her now “NOT SO FAST ROOKIE”

"I would totally trip you if I didn't love you so much." Rook commented with a grin, not looking too worried.

“Aw thank you that’s really sweet” she chuckled before putting on even more speed.

"Good, 'cause I'm boutta kick your ass." Rook nudged L with her shoulder before throwing everything she had into the last few yards.

L swore, but that didn’t change the fact that she lost

As soon as she had passed the finish, Rook collapsed to the ground, breathing heavy. "That was great but it sucked."

“Yeah…” L stood up with her hands on top of her head to breathe better. “Be careful, if we keep this up they’re gonna put us in track”
