Heyo, so Christmas is fast approaching so why do a Christmas theme rp?

General appearance: He has medium length light brown hair that he slicks back every morning with gel, but it will often begin to come undone by the end of the day and falls over his face. His skin is naturally tan, even during the winter. His jawline is almost always dusted with a thin covering of hair, despite the fact he shaves every morning. He's around 5'11", but probably on the shorter side.

Why did Amethyst have to do hang up the lights and decorations this year? She was pretty unhappy about that. She had to get an assembly planned, homework, and make muffins for a bake sale. But apparently the 'competition' was more important to her family than being successful in school. She looked over to her neighbor's house, she saw the neighbor also decorating. She sighed and continued hanging up lights.
Cairo climbed down the ladder carefully, nervous as all hell. Using ladders without anyone to spot it for you was risky business, since one wrong move can send the bottom sliding out from under you. He managed to make it to the 3rd rung from the bottom before things got sketchy, but then he just jumped the rest of the way and landed on his back in the soft white snow. Letting out a loud, happy chuckle, he got back to his feet and shook off most of the snow that was clinging to his back before picking up the ladder and carrying it to the open garage.
To be honest, Cairo didn't mind decorating for Christmas. While he didn't care about the competition between the two families, it gave him a pretty good excuse to play in the snow instead of doing his English essay. Plus, there was pride in doing a job correctly, which Cairo definitely did.
He glanced over to his neighbor, who was also hanging Christmas lights and called cheerfully, "Howdy!"

Amethyst jumped a little, it was a good thing she wasn't on the ladder yet. She looked to where the voice had come from. She was surprised to see her neighbor actually interacting with her. But to be fair, she never saw them. It was either her parents the decorated, or it was his parents. "Oh, hi!" She called out to him with a wave.
"Need me to spot you ladder for you?" he asked, gesturing to the metal contraption already leaning against the side of her house. "I just took a spill offa mine and figured you wouldn't want the same fate."
