(Let's just pretend everyone's here, yeah? heheheh.)
"Hello," Sylvia said, she swept her gaze around the room, scanning over each detail of each persons appearance. "I'm Sylvia Winter, one of the members that have been here the longest. I control the element of Earth and specialize in healing. Now, if it's alright, I would like you to introduce yourselves and tell us a bit about you as well." She smiled politely as not to seem . . . rude? Or cold?
Skye looked up as a couple of kids came in, he watched them, but he didn't say anything.
Arthur followed the two kids into a room where he saw someone else with blue, violet and- What the?! "Skye!?" he said as he whipped the chair around to face his brother,
"Oh hey bro" said Skye mentally, "Fancy seeing you here"
(Note: If Skye's speech is in bold it means he is using telepathy and no one but the person he is talking to can hear unless he chooses otherwise, and people he communicates with that way, can communicate back in the same form.)
Dashilan's eyes widened in terror. Cael observed Sylvia and the rest of the kids. She tried to guess what their elements were. They must be brothers.
"What In the moons are you doing here!?" demanded Arthur as he shoved Skye's chair against the wall,
"My guess is that we are on the same team little brother," said Skye as he warped behind Arthur and messed with his hair.
Arthur growled and took out a dagger and quickly had Skye pinned against the floor, "Don't. Mess. Around." he growled before letting up and sitting in Skye's chair, kicking it back to the table, before curling up in it.
"Could you please stay seated and keep the atmosphere calm whilst we introduce ourselves, Skye," Sylvia looked to them. "Arthur." She had already read over the profiles of each person in the room, since she was a long-term member she guessed the guild master trusted her with the information.
I don't if I'm excited anymore . . . Arya thought to herself. Her mouth parted, ready to introduce herself after Sylvia finished talking. She took a breath. "I'm Arya Maiden, I have the power of spirit and have the twelve celestial keys of the Zodiac."
"Skye, Half wolf, Star element, And that knuckle heads big brother," he said with a bow, and a gesture to Arthur.
"Arthur, Dark elemental, and chaos wielder," he said grumpily, "And if you lay one hand on me I'll slit your throat Skye!" he said lifting a finger so dark tendrils would take his dagger and hold it so it was aimed for Skye's throat.
Cael crossed her arms proudly. "Caeli Praedo, air element, Ascen warrior."
Dashilan took a long, deep breath. "Dash."
There was an expectant pause and Caeli loudly said, "Dashilan Victor, metal element, Ascen's top wyvern hunter!"
"Oh and I forgot to mention I'm also half wolf," said Arthur, as the shadows returned his dagger, "And I also qualify as a self trained assassin, and an Alchemist in my spare time."
"And you might be interested to know I'm a telepath," said Skye,
(ehheheehheheheheh)
"Thank you for introducing yourselves. Moving on to the bigger topic, As each of you should know, You have been called to the headquarters because you are to be sent on an important mission. The details of said mission were not put in your letters as to keep it from being found and released to the public," Sylvia started, keeping up the formal facade. "Why you have been called here is unknown to me, Whether you are the best at controlling your element, or have other special talents, may be the reason. Now, getting to the mission, the 10 elemental keys have been stolen by unidentified creatures of the darkness, the council agreed on sending us on this mission to retrieve the keys, defeat these creatures and return them. We will be leaving shortly, heading South. The guild master has given us a few minutes to prepare for the trip. Any questions?"
Cael raised her hand. "What are the elemental keys? I'm not technically from here."
Arthur and Skye gave each other a long look, "well I guess we are going back into the crazy eh bro?" said Skye,
"Shut up, and stay out of my head," said Arthur sourly, "No ma'am I don't think we have any questions," he said getting to his feet.
"Nor do I my lady" said Skye with a smirk.
"Ah, Caeli," What the heck am I doing? This isn't like me at all. "The ten elemental keys are . . . Let's say the object form of the ten elements of magic. Each key has the full power of their element and are said to be the most powerful keys in all of history. When or if they are stolen, removed from their pedestals, it will eventually cause unbalance in the mana and will most likely end the world. When or if a human obtaines one, they would be able to use the key to their will and fully manipulate that element until their body would explode from containing too much mana. If that is all, I will be taking you to another room where we will prepare and then depart."
I don't know if I'm excited or if I am. Everyone seems like they could either be good friends or enemies, but I guess I need to work with them since I'm going on this mission with them. Arya sighed quietly.
"Then lets get going!" said Skye cheerfully, She seems to know what she's doing. But we'll see how she chalks up when it really counts he thought to himself.
Arthur yawned and adjusted his bag.
Cael exchanged glances with Dash, who obviously knew what was going on. "Yeah, that's all." They stood up.
“Perfect, Now if you’ll all just follow me.” Sylvia smiled and stood up. She walked to the door at the back of the room and continued down a hallway to the right, it leading to another room. Instead of its usual paintings and chairs it held armour, weapons, herbs, anything they could need on the mission. She recognized her armour in a corner, What did the guild master do this time? She wondered, thinking that all the other armour in the room must be the others.
(grrr now I have to leave just pretend Cael and Dash are doing what everyone else is :P)
Skye stepped up to his armour, without saying a word he slipped it on, and turned to wait for more instructions, he noticed that Arthur had done the same.
After finishing folding her dress, she turned to
address the others. “Pack what you need, if you need anything. Be prepared to lose your bag along the way. There will be no guarantee that you will not lose your bag or return in one piece. We should be able to restock once we have depleted our resources. Once everyone is done we will be leaving.”
Arya fidgeted with a tassel from her armour, she thought it was a bit extra but she liked it, she could always rip some cloth to bandage a wound if need be. She didn’t really need anything, she had everything she thought she would need. She took her keys out of her bag and attached the ring to her armour, it wasn’t really safe, but she would be able to reach them easily.
Arthur didn't move, "I have everything I need" he said.
Skye pulled a small toolkit out of his bag before dropping it, slipping the toolkit in his pocket. "I'm good too" he said.
Liam quickly put on his armour and scanned the room for any extra resources he could use. Once putting everything in his black bags, he once again looked around the room for his sister.
Tenley quickly put on her armour, buckling in all the straps and fixing her mask. She looked in a nearby window and used some light to shorten her hair so it could fit better under her cloak style jacket. She gathered her fingers in a li ching motion and extend them, allowing her staff to appear. The crystal in the center glowed faintly with the recognistion of multiple forms of magic. She sighed and blinked, looked around for her brother.
Once seeing each other, the twins made there way to the center of the room, Liam tracing the flame designs on his bow and Tenley fixing the straps of her fingerless gloves. They walked over to where Sylvia was waiting "we are ready." Liam said. Tenley nodded in agreement and leaned against the wall, observing the others in the room, trying to get a feel for relationships.
Arthur edged away from the light Elemental, Dark and light don't mix very often, and in my case the exception isn't here he thought, fondly remembering his twin brother.
Everyone seems so confident and prepared . . . “I’m ready as well.” Arya says as she walks over to Sylvia. If I can be friends with Sylvia, that should be okay, right?
“Great. The location of the first key, the key of Fire should be somewhere in the Appalachians since that is where we have defected immense quantities of fire specific mana. So, we should be on our way,” She looked at each person then spun on her heel. She continued her way down a few halls, then opened a back door. “First we will need to leave the city. For now, we must watch for other guild mages until we’ve left.”
Skye and Arthur both followed her as soon as she began to move.
I don't know what we're getting into… but things are bound to get messy thought Arthur,
This oughta be interesting thought Skye as he kept his face casual, Ignoring his brother's usual brooding, and I really hope he lightens up sooner than last time
Cael ran back to grab Dash a scarf. He wrapped it around his neck quietly as they caught up with the others. I really hope he makes friends. I can't keep him company forever. He glanced back at her, then at the others, like he could read her mind. Sensing their adrenaline, Cael's draken appeared beside her.
She followed everyone out the door. Friends aren’t your top priority Arya, I mean, they’re important and you need to not be enemies with everyone . . . But still, you should make some friends, if you at least spoke to everyone that should be okay . . . Right? “You can do this Arya . . .” She whispered to herself.
