"Well, it's familiar," She said softly, smiling to herself. "I guess it makes me feel a little better."
"Well, it's familiar," She said softly, smiling to herself. "I guess it makes me feel a little better."
He half smiled. “So, Who is Liam marrying? Still find it hard to believe that he found someone.”
"Um, someone from the city. Connor Marks. Connor's one of my photography friends, I never expected them to hit it off so well."
Noah snorted. “How he managed, I’ll never be sure.”
"Yeah, everyone's always fancied him," She sighed. Trini looked at him. "Look, I really am sorry for how we left it. I've regretted it every day since the day I left."
Noah smiled slightly. “Well, forgive and forget, right?” He sighed, rubbing he back of his neck. “Look, Trini, I forgive you, but, well… I don’t know.”
She looked at him. "Is it selfish to expect an apology from you as well?" She asked quietly.
“A little bit, Yeah,” he joked, trying to loosen the tension. Then, he sighed. “I am sorry, Trini, but I’m bad at apologies, as you know.”
Trini tried to catch his eye. "I always thought throughout me being gone, even through it was two years, that you were the one who needed to apologise. More than me. And I always waited for a call to come. But it never did."
Noah stares at the floor. “Do you know how hard it was?” He asked softly. “I wanted to call every day. But I didn’t. I thought, she won’t forgive me. I fucked up too bad.”
"If you'd just asked, I would have forgiven you. But since then, I've never been able to forgive you. Because you didn't bother working up the courage to apologise for what you did."
Anger filled him, but he held onto it, not letting it get out of control. “I said that I was sorry. But if you don’t want to hear it, fine.”
"Do you wanna know what you did? You broke me, Noah! You left me when I needed you most! Poor, little, insignificant Trinity Bell. I never wanted anyone but you, Noah Cotgrove. The boy I loved. And for a while I thought you were the same. But then you left me. You broke me. And I ache every day because I still love you! And I hate myself for it! Because I can't stop loving you!"
Noah cursed. He stood up, walking over to the wall and punching it as hard as he could. Over and over and over. All his guilt and anger and shame went into the punches, until there was a gaping hole in the wall. Panting hard, he sat down, ignoring the pain in his hand. “Then accept my damn apology. I’m not some brave, wonderful Prince Charming. I never understood what it was about me. You think you’re insignificant? Have you ever seen me?” Closing his eyes, he sighed. “And I still love you. Even though I was a coward, a fool and an arrogant piece of shit.”
"You might not think that you're a Prince Charming, but you've always been mine. You were always there when my brothers weren't, and you were the person I went to. But then you ruined it."
“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I really am.”
She sighed, looking at him with sad eyes. "I don't know what I should really think. On one hand, I want to forgive you. I really do. But on the other hand, I'm really hurt, and I have been for a while."
“Then don’t forgive me,” he said simply. “I don’t deserve it.”
She placed a hand on his, feeling so much overflowing emotion in her heart. "I'm here for a reason. It's not to tell you I regret everything, or for me to tell you what you did wrong. It was so that I could finally feel that what I did was right. Because we've grown so much since we've been 18."
He smiled slightly at her, face still sad. “I don’t know. I don’t think I’ve changed a lot.”
"Trust me. You have. I've only been here for maybe 20 minutes at most, but I can already see how much you've changed."
“How?” He asked.
