Yay!! So I don't have setting or anything like that yet I was thinking also fantasy, because its always more interesting with some magic
that sounds cool!!
Awesome! I'm thinking of starting in a magic academy then just building the world and story from there? Or do you have an idea?
Well I've lowkey been obsessed with the dark academia aesthetic and a magic school sounds like a perfect place for that, lol. So maybe college aged, uncovering dark secrets or something along those lines?
Sounds good to me!!

Full name: Raine Akari
Nickname: Rainy
Age: 19
Personality: A 2w1, the helper. ISFJ-T or INFJ-T. She is kind, introverted but definitely enjoys/loves people. People tend to drain her pretty quickly since she is pouring everything into them and experiencing their feelings. Has trouble being around negative people. She's bouncy and wholesome, but people don't gravitate to her that quickly, due to her intense presence and her over willingness to help. The people that do befriend her either use her because of the love she gives, or are fiercely loyal and protective of her. Most don't know what to make of her; she has a quick laugh and a sunny disposition, but she's very sensitive and quick to judge. She tends to psychoanalyze others and try to fix their flaws through pseudo-therapy sessions, and she doesn't grasp how uncomfortable that makes some people feel. However, she's a very supportive friend who encourages everyone and is always a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to.
Abilities: Rainy is an empath that can feel and manipulate other people's emotions. She doesn't use the manipulation part on her friends after an incident, but she is pretty good at using her abilities on antagonists to essentially mind control them. Although her ability is limited based on her own emotional state (she may accidentally project emotions and motivations onto others that she is experiencing) she has a decent amount of control over the actions of the people she is manipulating. It is short range, gives her migraines, and she needs training to be a true pro at it.
Appearance: Her body is proportionately skinny except that her legs are a bit smaller than the rest of her. She has raven black, shiny hair cut into a near-pixie cut with bangs that sweep to the side. Often wears accessories and flowers in her hair. She is Japanese with high cheekbones and a long, bridge-less nose. She's very expressive and wears highly fashionable, colorful clothes.
Eye color: Dark brown
Weight: 100lbs
Height: 5'1
Skin tone: fair-medium peachy skin with orange-y undertones
Distinguishing marks: Just her vibrant expressions and colorful garb, along with a flower tattoo on her wrist.
Other: She loves using pet names on others. Severely anti-capitalist. Science nerd. Favorite animal is seals.
Usual outfit: Wears oversized blazers or suspenders, billowy brightly colored blouses, and plaid or pleated skirts. Loves being barefoot, but usually wears shiny black Doc Martins.
Backstory: Her parents are legalistic and try to force strict standards on her, and they discourage freedom and expression. She felt stifled and controlled there, especially since they adopted her and they have a savior complex; they expect her to be their perfect child, completely grateful to them for rescuing her from poverty. She played the part of their perfect oldest child for much too long, becoming caregiver for all her younger siblings. To soothe her siblings, she started using her magic, but went a little too far and used her magic on her parents. Furious, they sent her to the magical academy for college, even though she had wanted to attend a normal university to become a doctor. However, she is enjoying the school so far.
Likes: Singing, music, rain storms, cats, fixing people, supporting her friends, long-lasting friendships, cuddling and any sort of affectionate contact, children, reading, science.
Dislikes: Showing vulnerability, being seen as emotionally weak, mean people, negative people can have a pretty severe effect on her emotions, losing control, ugliness, people who don't accept her help.
Fears: Her fear is to be viewed as emotionally or morally weak. She wants people to view her as someone who has an infinite supply of love and support to give, and she's afraid people will break past her helper facade and see that she isn't as emotionally stable as she claims. She relies on others emotions too much, and even though she welcomes other's vulnerability, she fears her own.
Talents: Singing, helping others, understanding motivations, making friends.
(I love her! She is the total opposite of Nora, haha.)
(thanks! Nora's awesome.)
(Thank you. I'll get the starter up in a min.)
The halls were surrounded by the many voices of students, all wearing the same thing, looking so much alike. In reality they all looked different, no outfit was the same and and the faces all looked different in their own way, but in Nora's eyes everyone here was the same. Greedy, rich brats. This school is the highest among all the magic academy's in the kingdom. It was out of pure luck that Nora got in, a rat from the street would have never been able to get in. But thanks to him, she was now forced to go. The echoing of her footsteps filled her ears as she tried to drown out the voices. Her hands were full of books and her eyes glued to the ground. Black magic wasn't common, and in fact, was highly disliked. Memories of a paper flashed before her eyes. It was a Contract, one that said no one was to know that she possessed black magic. Her mind wandered until she bumped into someone. The sudden collision made her books fall down to the ground and the focus on her footsteps fade. Now, once again, voices bounced all around. With a sigh she bent down to pick up her books. All that she saw was a very colorful outfit, not wanting to make eye contact.
Shiny black Docs scuffed against the cobbled floor as Rainy made her way down the hall, keeping her head held high even though her vision was swimming. Even though she had been here for a year now, she was unused to the crowds, and their overwhelming emotions sought to overwhelm her at every turn. There was fear, contentedness, and aggression. Aggression was by far the most common, emanating from the heads of the privileged crowd. Everyone felt the same. She hugged her leather satchel closer to her chest, trying to keep her own emotions separate from theirs. Suddenly, a burst of clarity, a new and different feeling pierced through her brain, lighting up her own emotions. Someone felt bitter desperation and discontent, discontent that sat so comfortable in her chest it almost felt like she was feeling it. So caught up in the feeling, she didn't notice the source until she'd bumped into her.
"Oh, my God, I'm sorry!" she said, dropping to her knees to help the girl pick up the fallen items. "I'm sorry," she repeated, in a more gentle voice, noticing how the girl avoided eye contact. She studied her –dark hair, fair skin, a flash of crystal blue eyes.
"It's fine." Nora made for response short and dull. Everyone called her the bleak girl; Just uninterested, dark and unapproachable. She was well known, and no one every talked to her, but she didn't mind. Sitting at lunch by herself was the least of her worries. All she needed to do was graduate, then.. For a moment her finger tips touch the choker on her neck. Quickly she grabbed her books and stood up. Her eyes met the girls, and for a moment she felt something, but wasn't sure what it was. "Thanks." Nora gently took the book from the others hand. It was free time and Nora was headed to the library. The quietest place in the whole school, plus she can do a little black magic there without being caught. "Well…" Nora's eyes light up in the sunlight. "I'll be going."
"Wait a sec," Rainy said, blinking at the other girl. She lowered her hand slowly and tried to think of an excuse to keep talking to her. "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you a freshman?" She loved showing freshmen around, and did so regularly.
Nora stopped in her tracks. Turning, she held her books close to her chest and raised a brow. "Yes…" It was a mystery why this girl was talking to her, even some of those around them began to whisper. Nora eyed them, but that didn't change anything. "Anyway, if that's all, I'll really be leaving." She tried to copy a normal interaction, her smile was awkward and so was her wave. She hoped not to see this girl again. It threw her off to actually have someone. Please just let me go.
Rainy felt awkwardness and discomfort radiating from the girl. Because she'd somehow convinced herself she was everyone's savior, she didn't give up, falling into step next to the girl. "Oh, lovely. I'm a sophomore, so only a year ahead of you. Where are you heading? Do you need anything?"
An Uneasy laugh escaped her lips. Is this girl crazy? "Listen, I appreciate your.." Nora tucked a piece of her jet black hair behind her ear, and gave a genuine smile. Nora was a beautiful girl, people have always told her that, but it felt wrong when they did. "Kindness, but are you sure you want to hang around me?" There was definitely something wrong with this girl. Nora sighed and rolled her eyes. It wasn't worth fighting, it was exhausting and she wanted everyone to stop staring. "I'm going to the library. I'm assuming that you'll follow me anyway, so let's just go."
The smile the other girl gave her felt like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. She returned the smile with a huge one of her own, heartened by the reaction she was eliciting. Even though the sigh and the eye roll were a little less favorable, the smile had been there and she would never forget it. "I don't see why not! I like hanging around you so far." She stuck out a hand. "I'm Rainy. What's your name?"
(bump)
