"Are you ok?"
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," she assured him. "Let's go."
"O-Ok…"
"Let me drive for a bit," she suggested softly.
"You don't have to."
"But I will," she said, holding her hand out for the keys.
"…" He hands her the keys.
"Can't you trust me not to crash?" she asked, arching her eyebrow,
"I can…I'm just…Not thinking straight."
"Why? Are you feeling alright?" she asked, stepping closer to him and cupping his face.
He coughed a little. "Y-Yeah."
"No you're not, don't lie to me."
"I'm not. Just overexerted me."
She kissed him lightly and sighed. "Fine."
He knew he shouldn't have lied but he didn't want to worry her.
"Let's go home," she said softly.
He nods coughing again.
She looked again at him. "You're not alright."
"It's just a cough."
She blinked and looked away. "Are you sure you're not mad at me?"
"I'm sure. If I was I wouldn't be speaking."
She opened the door of the car. "C'mon."
"Thanks." He smiled
Bridget shut it after he got in and went to her side and slid into the seat with a sigh. "I'm sorry, again, for what happened in there." She looked over at him. "I didn't know she would be there… I didn't know that she even still lived here. I ruined our coffee… date?" She blushed at the word, unsure if he would want it to be called that.
"We can have our date at home." He smiled.
