RULES FOR ALL CITIZENS
1. Curfew is at 9 PM. Unless announcements have been made, or an arrangement is attended to, citizens should not be exiting their homes after 9 PM.
2. Citizens shall not hold propaganda against the state.
3. No citizens shall hold weapons, unless an arrangement is made.
4. If you suspect another citizen is working against the state, report them immediately. Covering for a spy is extremely illegal, and you will be punished severely for it.
5. There will be no illegal materials in the homes of citizens.
6. You shall not avoid inspection, nor prevent it.
7. Trust in the state.
8. Trust in the Leader.

You are a spy working for the foreign country of Haskad. Your country is at war with Thoule, the country that you will be working in. Your main mission is to retrieve as much as information as possible, and make reports back to homeland. Avoid detection and raising suspicion. Do not be compromised. Do not tell anyone.
Do not trust anyone.

In a dark, gloomy world, a war rages. And two countries in particular are noted. Haskad and Thoule. Thoule was known to be the aggressor of the war, while Haskad only protected itself. Both countries have committed their ‘terrible’ acts, however. No one is truly innocent.
A spy is sent to Thoule. You are that spy. You live in an apartment located in the mainland of Thoule.
Every now and then they inspect the apartments. Soon, someone will come to your room and inspect it. Make sure everything is hidden away before they arrive, which is typically at 10 AM. Don’t worry. The inspections usually don’t take that long. They’re only once a week, after all.

Long description. So basically I need someone to be the spy. If you want romance, I’d prefer a BxG, so I would need a woman (as I’ll be playing a man for this RP.) For the setting of this RP, think of the 1930s-1940s technology wise. And clothing wise as well.

Here’s the RP rules.

  1. Cussing is allowed.
  2. Yes to blood and violence, but know that there is a time and place for everything.
  3. In the event of a fight, no auto hitting, but don’t dodge everything.
  4. No one liners.
  5. Good grammar is appreciated, but I can understand mistakes as I do not speak English as a first language myself.
  6. Do not be afraid to ask any questions.
  7. List is subject to change.

And here’s the template..
Brackets only there to explain stuff. When filling temp out, remove them.

Name:
Aliases: (if any, include false name if you have one unless your character likes to live on the edge and use their real one)
Gender:
Age: (20-27)
Sexuality:

Skills/hobbies:
Opinion on Thoule: (what do they think of Thoule? Do they view them as evil, or a place in need of liberation? Anything goes!)
Background: (optional. Can include family status, job history, etc.)
Personality:
Other: (anything they might have on them or anything else goes here.)

@PrettyLittlePyro

Name: Nova Quinn

Aliases: Evelyn Marris, Agent Insanity

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Skills/hobbies: Fighting with knives, lying, psychology, dancing, singing, playing pretend, leaving bad memories behind, drinking when she's really down, fighting, disguising as someone else, acting

Opinion on Thoule: Nova doesn't really care about the country. She doesn't care about her own country, for that matter, which can be a problem. She just does this for the money. She knows the place is uptight and strict, which annoys her, and that they like to fight, which appeals to her. She has pretty neutral feelings about the place.

Background: Her parents died at a young age, and she was raied by her aunt, who was more than a little insane. She left after her aunt died, and after three days living on the street, she was recruited by the government to work with them. She trained, and soon became one of their biggest assets. This is her first major mission, and she doesn't want to blow it.

Personality: Nova is a very closed-off person. Sure, she laughs, and jokes, and hangs out with people, but unless she's tired, very sad, or drunk(which rarely happens), she will never tell anything about herself. Not her emotions, not her past, nothing. She is a spectacular liar, having a ton of experience, though she hates when people lie to her. She is incredibly sarcastic, and has a no-nonsense vibe on occasion, and has zero patience for people who aren't doing what they're supposed to. She loves to make jokes, tries to keep her friends close, but not too close, and is an introvert disguised as an extrovert. Too much peopling, and she will get super pissed off, and tired, both physically and emotionally. She hates to show weakness. She's a bit of a daredevil, and will do anything to seem strong.

Other: N/A

@Knick

Name: Damir Zhenka
Aliases: Scarecrow (a name most civilians have come to know him as, due to his tall stature), Faceless Man (a lesser known name, only there due to the fact that no one has a visual of his face but that could apply to all of people permitted to carry weaponry in Thoule as a whole)
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Skills/hobbies: Intimidation and interrogation tactics, backstabbing, aiming with guns and shooting, staying awake for long periods of time, fishing, sketching.
Opinion on Thoule: Damir’s views are..interesting. On one hand, he tries to keep it clear that he trusts in the State. He does his work. He reports suspicious activities. He stays in line. He’s the perfect idol in a lot of people’s eyes. On the other hand, his trust in the State is waning, and he’s got his own reasons for that. But in his view, Haskad is much worse than Thoule, and it’s better than he’s in Thoule. That, or it could be the amount of propaganda in Thoule that gave him that mindset.
Background: Born in Thoule, and never left, either. Damir came from a family holding his parents, and younger sister. They were very traditional in their beliefs and cared much for the State and Leader. When Damir was younger, he questioned the State, but being scolded by his parents changed those views quickly, even if the thoughts drifted in the back of his mind. Damir was encouraged to take a job that would help the State, as was his sister a few years later.
He found that being a guard was a suitable job for him, and soon enough, left his home city to a different one for the work. His parents were happy for them, since he went after a job that would benefit the State. They’re not in contact as much anymore, though Damir gets the occasional call every now and then.
Personality: Damir can look very much like a cardboard copy first few glances. What I mean is that he’s similar to a lot of the workers in Thoule. Trusting in the State, loyal to the Leader. Very strict and concerns over the slightest rule break.
Damir is, however, a caring man. Even if he does have questionable goals sometimes, or methods, he does care for others. It could be a trick, just to learn more about the person and see if they’re able to be reported to the State. Knowing Damir, it’s a fifty fifty.
Damir is curious as well. He likes to know the people, the citizens. Know their story. He seems friendly if you’ve ever sat with him and spoken to him. For a guard, Damir is surprisingly social.
Other: Carries a luger pistol with him almost at all times.

(Have any questions? And did you want me to start first or did you have something in mind?)

@Knick

Work, work, work.

Each day was work. For life in Thoule, if you were an able bodied adult, you worked. Unless you had papers clarifying that you would not be working, you had to contribute to the State somehow. Damir was not one of those people who had those papers.

Damir was making his way down the street. It was currently 9:55 AM. Five minutes to get to the apartment. At this pace he was going, Damir had calculated that he would get to the place at exactly 10 AM. Perfect timing. Time would tell if he had done it correctly.

To citizens in other countries, seeing individuals such as Damir would be rather unusual, if even a bit unsettling. Covered, masked faces, dark clothing. But that was not the case in Thoule. Guards always looked all the same, just like Damir. It was near impossible to tell them apart, unless you pay close attention to their physical stature and voice, if the latter was possible. Speaking of stature, Damir was quite a tall guy, for someone of the guard. At around 6’5, it made sense that he was considered tall.

Rain? Again?

A light drizzle fell from the greyed clouds. As usual, a light rain. It rained here often, noted Damir. It rained in Thoule plenty. He wondered if the Capital cities were any different. He had never been to any of them.

Damir continued down the road, towards the apartments. He wondered how this inspection would go. Hopefully, just like the others, assuming that the owner had received the letter that they were due for an inspection.

@PrettyLittlePyro

If Nova had had any sense, the moment she got this mission, she would have backed out of it. Not that she had a choice really. She was just stuck with this job. And it could be fun at times, like when she and a few others got to go out and party all night, and come back rip-roaring drunk. The hangover after was horrible, but worth it because the cleaning crew had to clean up their mess. All of it.

Now, in Haskad, you weren't really supposed to go out to a bar if you were a woman. That didn't stop Nova. She wondered bleakly if this was her payback for making all that mess… probably it was, knowing who she worked for.

That morning, she had been unpacking her stuff when she had gotten a letter. It was short and to the point, about how there was going to be an inspection. It hadn't said that she was suspicious or anything, just that her apartment was going to be searched. While Nove had known this was coming, she still hated it. And it was happening the morning she had moved, too!

She searched around desperately for places to hide her knives. These guards must know all the tricks, she thought angrily, then had an idea. She threw open her window and plopped the knives all on the gutter above her window, carefully manuvering her body so that she didn't fall. She heard a faint splash as the three daggers fell into the rainwater, and sighed slightly with relief, ducking her head back in just as it started to rain. She ran around the apartment, putting things were they belonged, to make it seem like she'd been there a while. She added a quick layer of makeup to her face and pulled on the wig required for the job. She would have to bleach her hair soon, but this was the best she could get.

Glancing in the mirror to make sure she looked her part, she once again marveled how different she looked, with a simple blush and blonde hair. It was weird. Not to mention the new, strange clothes.

@Knick

Boots stopped at the apartments as Damir took a glance around, shuffling under some small shelter for a second to take a glance at his note. This was the correct place. Now he just needed to find the door number…

Scanning along the side of the apartment, and searching in front, he looked around, but found the door on the side of the building.

9:59.

Damir glanced up at the rainy sky. The rain was still moderate, and it would most likely stop soon, only to start at night again, probably. It was a wonder how Thoule did not flood. Looking back to his current focus, Damir raised his left hand, waited a moment, then knocked on the door exactly three times. At 10:00 AM to be exact.

He waited a second or two, then took a step back from the door, awaiting an answer.

@PrettyLittlePyro

The knock sounded, seeming to echo through the entire apartment, and Nova froze. They were here. She took a deep, shuddering breath, about to compose herself, when she stopped. Wait. Pretending to be harried and nervous would help her cover. Probably. She couldn't act too nervous, though. That would be suspiscious.

She moved to the door, glancing in the hallway mirror and straightening her dress, smiling nervously at her reflection, before coming to the door. She rested her hand on the handle and turned, opening the door.

Outside were several people in dark robes. The tallest stood at the front. He must have knocked. She smiled nervously, yet primly, opening the door wider, to invite them in, "Good morning," she said, trying to act like a gracious host.

@Knick

While his expression was not visible, he probably was smiling as he greeted her.

“Good morning, Miss..Marris? Am I correct?” He asked as he began to enter the house, having to duck a little due to his height. “Scheduled inspection, this shouldn’t take long,” he adds, looking around the house.

He turns back to the woman again.

@PrettyLittlePyro

"Yes," she said, smiling faintly. "Evelyn Marris."

Nova was panicking slightly, but acted calm and cool. "Take as long as you need. I understand how it is."

She sat down on the couch, smoothing her dress under her. She nervously started to twist her blonde hair between her fingers, watching them tear about her apartment.
