"Ay, buddy, slow it down," Kyo ordered, "you're rushing off when I just wanna have a conversation." He stood up straight from his leaned-over position and stretched a little. He turned to face the other male, his grey eyes narrowed from behind his mask. He stepped closer to Miles slowly and began to remove his helmet, revealing a black cloth that hid his eyes. His black and blond locks fell to his shoulders and across his forehead with the removal of the headgear. Despite the seriousness of the situation, a relaxed smile sat on Kyo's face.

"And yes, while your name may not concern me, I still wish to know it," he bobbed his head and cracked his fingers absentmindedly. "Even if it be only your surname, won't you tell me something?" He looked down to wipe off the helmet that he held lightly, using the hem of his shirt. Promptly, he looked back up to the well-dressed man.

"Oh and," he continued, "just what in the world is up with your manner of speech? You sound like you're straight from a Shakespeare play. Who in the world calls someone a swimmer when they aren't actually such?" At the point, his voice had taken on a more mocking tone than curious one. His smile became slightly condescending. He walked up to meet the other on the edge of the rooftop, and looked down. He had always been afraid of heights, so the sight sent slight shivers down his spine. He stuttered slightly as he spoke, the fear beginning to present itself in Kyo's voice.

"M-my name is Kyo i-in case you d-don't know it." His words shook so much one could believe that he had felt cold instead of scared. He looked back to the victim of a beating that lay behind him, he sighed with the realization of the fact that he'd have to save that sucker from death's embrace. He whipped his head back to Miles with a smile on his face, it shook some, as he was still duly unnerved by their positioning on the roof.

"But now that ya know my name" he poked, "won't you tell me yours?"

“He’s a swimmer simply because he is another fish in the school this company controls. Every higher power is the shark that plays with them.”
Everything about Miles seemed pensive, but none of it was forced. He just held that air— he seemed so tense, constantly, eyes squinted like the whole world was glaring at him.
“And my manner of speech…? I… I guess I just enjoy verbal elegance,” Miles continued. It was clear he had never been asked a question regarding his typical mannerisms. Which would make sense, considering he often secluded himself and greatly preferred being alone. No people meant no questions, which Kyo here seemed to be full of.
It was only then did Miles turn around, slowly breathing in the cold air and savoring it for a moment, exhaling as he closed his eyes. He crossed his arms, then, heels still dangerously close to the edge of the roof.
“My name is Montgomery. Miles Montgomery, and I would be surprised if you’ve heard of me before. But…”
There was a pause as he stepped off the ledge reluctantly, striding over to where Kyo stood. He cast a quick glance to the half-dead man just paces away, but no pang of guilt was felt whatsoever.
“And— no need to introduce yourself to me. I know who you are, Kyo Tran.”
The way he said the name almost sounded like a threat, voice deep and reverberating throughout his hollow chest. It was more of a growl in the back of his throat, and seemed much too serious for the actual conversation at hand.
Miles had never been this talkative. He kept to his own, and was never too straightforward. Yet, he found himself wanting to stay up here just a little longer. The whipping wind was somewhat of a comfort, and seeing the challenging look on Kyo’s face was… well, a nice sight. But perhaps Miles could simply blame that joy on his repulsion toward “heroes.”
