"Yep," Acacia nodded along, "Any questions you got for me? I feel like I've been interrogating you with all these questions."
"Yep," Acacia nodded along, "Any questions you got for me? I feel like I've been interrogating you with all these questions."
"I like to find people out through conversation, not questions," he said. "The questions are just awkward."
"Yeah," Acacia let her voice drawl, "But then we hit the problem of not knowing what to say."
Riley shrugged. "Then it'll be a while before we know each other well."
Acacia sighed, "Yes, well you also have to remember that we are living together. I would like to get to know you well sooner than later."
"Later," he grunted. "When we get back from the store."
"Okay," Acacia nodded as she walked up to the store front, "And we're here already."
"Well, I can't really open the door." He gestured down at the crutches.
Acacia walked up to tge door and opened it for him, “I was getting to that.”
(Hello?)
He stuck his tongue out at her. "Not quick enough."
Acacia stuck her tongue back out at him, "Not my fault."
"In fact," he said, walking through the door, "It is."
Acacia sighed and let the door shut behind them, "Explain how."
The girl behind the counter spotted Acacia and walked into the back to presumably grab the fabrics for her.
"You chose to stop instead of walk forward," he said, sticking his chin out. He knew he was being difficult, but it was fun.
"I was waiting for you!" Acacia defended herself knowing he was teasing her.
The girl returned to the counter and waved at Acacia and Riley, "Acacia! I got your fabrics! Who's the guy with you?"
Acacia turned to the girl, "Hey My. This is Riley, he's staying with my dad and I now."
He waved his hand pleasantly. "Hello."
My waved back at him, as much as she could while holding the bundles of fabrics she had just grabbed, "Hey. Nice to meet you, I'm Myrah. Or My for short."
Acacia walked over to get the fabrics from Myrah. She took them into her own arms as her eyes lit up remembering what she had planned to make with these.
"Fancy store you got here," he said simply, looking around the building.
Myrah nodded and smiled, "Yep. It's my parents technically, but I help out a lot. So does my older sibling Lot."
Acacia nodded and began making her way to the door, "Yep. It's the best store around for this kind of stuff."
He followed Acacia as she walked towards the door, huffing slightly. "Seems like a bit of a specialty store."
Acacia looked back at the store as they left, "First glance yeah, but they sell almost anything. It's an order pick up store, for rich people."
"What else do they sell?" he asked, tilting his head in confusion.
"Computer products, they do food, art, instruments," Acacia began listing off as she walked, "Uhhh, some other stuff too. A lot of it is us rich people order stuff online from other shops and that shop will go and pick it up for us. It's lazy rich people at it's finest."
