The truck shook as it made it's way across town. They must have reached the scene because bullets pelted the side of the truck, leaving little holes all through it. Tyler was narrowly missed twice, others were not so lucky. They poured out of the truck and took cover trying to find where they were being shot from.
Lia watched, her icy blue eyes alert and hard. She didn't understand why this was happening, and she didn't care. She was bored and wanted to kill something. She had just run from yet another foster home.
With his back pressed against a car Tyler was making head way. He'd made it halfway across the makeshift no man's land. This was actually his chance to get back to the rebles. He would just have to fake his death. Which would require actually getting shot. One or more times. He was not looking forward to that.
Lia dropped to the ground beside the guy. "You look like you're having a hard time," she said in a dry voice.
Tyler smiled at her. "I've had better times," he realized that he was wearing a government suit. "Uh, I'm not one of them I promise."
Backup apparently wasn't going to happen. The truck had stopped and all the people still alive gotten out. Agent Romiliy cursed their useless stupidity letting everyone know exactly how he felt about the incompetence of other agents. Jeriah shifted uncomfortably at the outburst, Romiliy made him nervous.
"Need help?" Lia asked sarcastically. It was clear that he did, but it was fun to goad people.
"Well yes actually," Tyler pulled his amo out of his gun, checked it and put it back. He looked over the car hood, then sunk down again. "I'm going to run out there and get shot. When I go down you run out and get me. Pull me to that side." He pointed to the rebles side.
"I have a better idea," Lia said. She stood on the car hood. "Everyone, stop fucking shooting!" She yelled, using her charmspeak. There was instant silence.
Tyler shook his head after a moment, daised by her voice. Then he grabbed her and pulled her down. Letting off two shots and starting the fight again. "You don't understand, I need this to happen if anything else is going to happen. I need this in order to get back to them. I have info that they need."
Lia shrugged. "Kill them, if you want. You're welcome." With that, she skipped away, into the bullet zone.
Ty sighed as he watched her go. "Well, there went that plan," he mumbled. He checked over the car hood then instantly dropped down when several bullets bounced off it. He took a few deep breaths and ran out from behind the car.
She watched him. “Sloppy,” She mused quietly.
Tyler made it maybe four steps from the car before he was hit by several bullets. He dropped like a rock to avoid farther injury. Luckily he'd been hit in the shoulder and the wrist nothing sever but it still hurt like hell.
Lia roller her eyes. “You guys are all idiots,”
She muttered, before moving into the field. “I said STOP!” She yelled, her voice moving across the field.
