(Oh really? Here I’ll give you one anyway, the way I ask is just customary, and that’s how people should ask.
Here’s a giant block of text so you can get a range of my grammar and stuff. My responses are usually smaller than this, but I try to match the responses I get.
Neo and Met were now closing in on their fortieth birthdays, yet both men had taken a turn as to where their lives were going to lead.
Met never found another job thanks to Meli. The experience had mentally aged him so much he didn’t feel the need to work anymore. But the company he previously worked for gave them thousands of dollars in compensation for what had happened, much of it used in the hospital bills for Met, and student loans for both of them. The small amount left over, went into their savings account.
Met was comfortable as a stay at home dad, though. He kept himself fit as Dax and Dylan left for school by tending to the house, noising into recipes to make while everyone else was away, doing light exercises at the gym, and going for jogs. He wasn’t able to do a lot of physical activity since his kidnapping, which had happened so many years ago at this point, but still sent shockwaves of effects through Met’s body. The man had lost most of his weight and had barely gained it back until recently, most of his personality had been gone and back to that quiet, insecure man until, again, recently, and one more thing that would leave him forever: his fertility. Eventually, after fifteen years, Xio had figured it out. It wasn’t like the situation with his BPD, Met had admitted it to her. But it was simply one of those things that one could guess. It was humiliating to Met, but the pair was still able to salvage something of a sexual relationship through their love for each other.
Dax grew up to be tall like his father, as predicted by their doctor. His dark hair grew long, and the boy often threw it up in a ponytail to stay out of his face. He still had his happy, go-lucky, spunky attitude to him, never seeing the downside of anything. He surprisingly helped his father through a lot of his downsides in life, the sixteen year old giving his dad ideas for what to do around the house.
Another fun fact about Dax was that he was a very musical person. When he was five, he had begged Met to teach him how to sing and play piano. That Christmas Met and Xio got him a child’s keyboard, which Dax loved until the day of its death. When it has finally died, Dax was eight, so Met and Xio agreed it was probably for the best that they got him an actual keyboard. And as time wore on, his instruments grew more and more sophisticated, until he had a whole PC for music and whatever else he wanted, as well as a whole variety of music making objects.
But the most curious thing— or perhaps not— is that Dax picked up marching band. In middle school he took interest in the throaty tuba, where he got his first taste of reading sheet music. Flash forward a few years later, and he’s on to making his own music, as well as knowledge of a whole variety of instruments in the band. He entered several competitions of musicmaking and composing.
Dax doesn’t have a lot of friends, for he’s really picky about the whole thing. But Dylan has stayed as one of his best friends. Dax wouldn’t be Dax without his twin through it all.
Neo, eventually, retired. It was sort of inevitable for the model, for he wasn’t up to standard anymore. He wasn’t thin and wry like a lot of people liked their male models, but Neo still had a large following on social media, and many people still liked him and wanted to support him. Neo created his own vlogging and fashion channel off of the spurs of his old career, as well as a fashion line that he updates still to this day. He and Ashton moved to a quieter side of America, closer to his twin, who lived in Michigan. It was a big move, but Neo really didn’t regret it much.
Nothing really really changed that much with him. Neo was still attractive and fit, making himself and Ashton eat healthy for the sake of Ashton’s health. They enjoyed a lot of vacations together, but hadn’t truly settled down until they moved from the hot city to the colder countryside of the eastern coast.
And in this new life, we begin on a Friday of April.
Met stirred on this Friday morning, opening his eyes slowly to the sun shining in his face. He tilted his head slightly and yawned, stretching out. He smiled down at his still-sleeping wife, pressing a gentle kiss to her head. Soon the boys would be up, and Met would have to rise to make everyone breakfast.
