"Just… A… Few… Minutes…"

"Jessie, look at me. Don't close your eyes." Flynn commanded. He was pushed aside as the paramedics came in with all their equipment and crouched down beside Jessie.

The paramedics put Jessie on oxygen and then careful moved her onto the stretcher. Before they strapped her down, they searched for an exit wound. They found it quickly, strapped her onto the stretcher and then rushed her to the ambulance.

Flynn ran after the paramedics and got into the ambulance with her, despite the paramedics' protests. "I am her brother, obviously I'm going with." He demanded and crossed his arms in defiance.

Aidan ran up to the ambulance but didn't get in. When he got what hospital they were going to, he hopped on his motorbike and started going there.

Flynn held onto her hand as they made it to the hospital and as soon as the paramedics told him he couldn't stay with her any longer, he grabbed his phone to call their parents.

"We need intubate her so that she has an airway to breath," The Doctor yelled. There was a whole team working on Jessie in the trauma bay. "We need to stop the bleeding and then get a CT scan to see if the bullet affected anything."

After Flynn got off the phone with their parents, he looked through the window into the trauma bay to keep an eye on Jessie. Their parents were on their way and would be there in a few minutes, hopefully by then, the paramedics would be able to tell the family something about Jessie's condition.

"The bullet missed her heart," The Doctor said. "We need to stitch up the wounds and put her into recovery."

Flynn and Jessie's mother had arrived to hear the doctor's news and immediately became terrified for her daughter's health. "Will she be alright?" She asked with a shaky breath.

"We're trying the best we can, ma'am," The Doctor said. "We think she'll be fine, but there's no guarantee right now."

"Please, just help my daughter." Their mother begged him before almost collapsing back into her chair and holding her head in her hands. Flynn sat down beside her without a word, looking at the floor.

"Stats are fine," The Doctor said to his nurses. "Get a bandage and cover the stitches. Then get her into a recovery room."

Flynn got up and shoved his hands into his pockets before going to the water fountain to get a drink before going back to his seat next to their mother.

The nurses wheeled Jessie out and into a recovery room. Aidan, Flynn and the twins parents followed.

Flynn followed right after the nurses into Jessie's recovery room and sat down in the chair next to her bed.

Pretend that something happened to Jessie's arm and it got amputated 👍)

Jessie lied sleeping, an intubater in her mouth to help her breathe.

(okay. Maybe there were two bullets, one hit her arm and the other hit near her lungs. The doctors were able to stitch her up and she was getting better until they found an infection in the bullet wound in her arm (like that flesh-eating bacteria or something, that would be an extreme cause for amputation…) and they had to remover her arm to save her life.)

(Of course that's only a suggestion, just something I had thought about to add some more drama, especially for when she wakes up)

Flynn had fallen asleep in the chair beside Jessie's bed, not ready to go home without her. It would just feel too weird without her there. So he decided to go to sleep in the uncomfortable chair beside her so that if she woke up, she wouldn't be alone.

(No that works)

Jessie would recover fine, just without her right arm. If she wanted the use of an arm, she would have to use a prosthetic.

Flynn stayed in the hospital with Jessie, only leaving to get something to eat or drink. For once, he wasn't focused on causing trouble or anything, he was only focused on Jessie's recovery and hoping she would be okay.

Jessie slept. She was peaceful and relaxed. She had little recollection of what had happened, and had no idea about her arm.
