He laughs softly. "I suppose." He helps her down and looks around his room, sighing quietly.
He laughs softly. "I suppose." He helps her down and looks around his room, sighing quietly.
She looked around a little and sighed. "Looks like I better get going. But I'll see you tomorrow." Should I? Meh. Too late to go back now! She pressed her lips to his for a couple seconds before bounding out of the house. "See ya Ace!"
Ace smiles, "Yeah, of course. Sleep well." He was about to offer a handshake but what she gave him made his heart stop. His eyes widen but before she could pull away completely he grabbed her wrist and kissed her back. "See you tomorrow."
She couldn't hide the bright red blush on her face but she smiled anyway. "See ya Ace." She giggled and bound out if the house, racing towards her own and trying to control the intense heat in her cheeks.
Ace watches her go with a wide smile. He felt his heart melt all over again. And he loved the feeling. He settled on his bed, moving his guitar and settling down. He looks at the ceiling and falls asleep.
She headed up to her own house and her smile faded. Time to deal with the torture. She opened the door and slipped in as quietly as possible. She could hear her stepmom's laughter from the kitchen with the football game which meant her father was in there too. Looks like no dinner for me. Again. She slipped upstairs and into her room, locking the door behind her.
Ace woke up many times that night, his mind wild and unsteady. Finally he just got up and sat on the roof, humming softly.
She didn't sleep that night. She almost never did. Just flicked on her small bedside light and did some homework and did some reading. Her stomach growled, when was the last time she'd eaten? She couldn't remember. But it was safer up here in her room than downstairs in the kitchen.
He sketched by the stars, taking in the world around him. He sighs softly, looking at the sky, his mind wandering to Rebecca. She was incredible. He smiled at that. Ace had rarely felt feelings towards someone.
Her mind couldn't help but wander to Ace. Yeah he had a reputation as a bad boy but he was really sweet and she thought the rough attitude was hot. Her face flushed at the thought but her stomach growling pulled her out of it again. Maybe… She slipped out of her window and walked back to Ace's, knocking softly. I can't stay there…not tonight.
Ace hears the knock and answers, he had actually been getting a midnight snack. He sees Rebecca and without hesitation let her in. "Hey. You okay?" He asks gently, shutting the door behind him.
"Hey, sorry to bother you so late at night but I just couldn't stay there. I hope I didn't wake you up." She smiled sheepishly. "My parents were in the kitchen so I couldn't eat without them getting on my case and Dad hasn't gotten paid yet so I haven't gotten lunch and I wake up too late for breakfast. I haven't eaten in days, I'm starving."
Ace nods, smiling softly. "It's really no problem." He squeezes her shoulder. "I'll make you something. I was actually working on a midnight snack when you knocked." He leads her to the kitchen and sets her at the table before finishing up the Pasta he had been working on. He hands her a plate stacked with it, made a bit of toast and water to wash it down. "Here."
"Thanks Ace." She smiled and her eyes couldn't help but trail to his lips for a second. She'd had the high honour of kissing them just a few hours ago. The question was, would he bring it up?
He nods. "Of course. Can't let you starve, now can we?" He offers a smile. He was tempted to bring the kiss up, did she feel for him? Or was it an act of gratitude?
"I mean, you could. Might kill me though." She chuckled, digging into her food. "You gonna just stand there and watch or are you gonna get some?"
He sat down with his own food, eating happily. He was pretty quiet when eating and had good table manners. He sips his water before glancing at Becca. "We have an extra room next to mine if you'd like."
"You don't have to do that. I'd hate to bother you." She couldn't meet his eyes. She was terrible at asking for help.
"You wouldn't be bothering at all, actually." He chuckles softly. "It's not a problem." He glances at her and smiles softly. "It really isn't." He places a hand on hers, his eyes gentle.
She blushed lightly and looked away. "God it'd be a lot easier to say no if you weren't so cute." She muttered under her breath.
He smiles at that. "Aww, thank you, dearest. Now. Eat. Don't hold back okay? Eat until you're full."
Sorry, finals are for me so it's hell//
(Oof, I feel bad for you)
She placed her fork down gently. "Mmm, as much as I wish I could, I really can't. Monique always makes terrible leftovers and makes everyone else eat them and 'being too full' makes her both suspicious and pissy."
"You're staying at my place for the night, so don't worry about it." He hesitates before gently kissing her cheek.
She blushed and looked away, why was he so cute?? Then, her phone rang. It was Monique. Again. "Ughhhh. I really don't want to answer."
