Awww I love her!//
Awww I love her!//
She's my bab, should I be the employee?//
Sure!
Lavender hummed as she kneaded the dough for some cookies she was making, they were almost sold out so she needed to make more. Some soft swing music floated through the air, it was her favorite playlist and whenever it was her turn to pick music, she always put it on.
Raven walked into the shop as quiet ad a mouse, looking around and inhaling the scent of comfort. She hummed softly to the tune and smiled a little as she walked to the counter. She looked at the menu before grabbing her wallet.
Ooooh what if we did a soulmate thing too?//
(Oh that would be fun.)
Lavender slipped out into the front after putting the cookies into the oven. She saw someone at the counter and rushed over. "Hi! I'm so sorry if you waited. I'm the only one here this morning and was just in the back baking!"
(What kind of soulmate?)
"Oh! Hello." Raven smiled a little;. "I totally understand. A little understaffed?" She asks softly as she places her wallet back in her bag. She offered a kind smile. "I'd like a chai latte please. And one of your cookies I've been hearing so much about."
(Doesn't matter to me. Maybe their name is written on their right wrist?)
Lavender laughed, preparing her drink. "A bit, the flu went around the neighboorhood where most of the workers live, so I'm the only one not sick."
(Yes!)
"Wow." She laughs gently. "That must be pretty crazy." She chuckles and pays the other. "How long have you been working here… Uh… Miss?" She asks curiously.
"You can call me Lav!" She smilled, handing the woman her drink. "Would you like for me to heat up your cookie? Or if you wait a few minutes, I have some in the oven."
"I can wait a few moments. I'm Raven by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you." She says happily, taking her drink and smiling as she took a sip. "I'm in no rush."
"Alrighty. I'll go check the cookies if you want to take a seat." Lav slipped back into the kitchen, opening the oven door and seeing that they still weren't done.
Raven sat down and sipped at her chai. She sighed quietly and looked down. She pulls her sleeve back and traced the name on her wrist. She took a deep breath and looks down, sipping at her drink.
Lav came back out with an apologetic smile. "The cookies probably won't be done for another fifteen minutes or so." If she noticed the other tracing the name on her wrist, Lavander didn't mention it.
Raven looks up, rather startled before smiling a little. "That's alright! I'm in no rush to get anywhere." She says happily, taking another sip of her drink.
"Alrighty! Can I get you anything else while you wait? It's on the house." Lav offered, realizing that it would take a while.
Raven blushed before quietly saying, "Nothing, thank you though." She smiled a bit. Raven was so awkwardly shy despite her abilities. She was usually to awkward to say anything that was really on her mind.
"Alrighty! I'll be in the back so just call out Lavander if you need anything." She waved and slipped back into the kitchen to keep an eye on the cookies.
Raven nods before looking back at her wrist. She blinks a few times before staring at her wrist. Lavender. No. There was no way the cutest woman could be a soulmate. Maybe she was just desperate to find her person that she was seeing and imagining things.
Lavender has a bad habit of thinking out loud, so she was thankful no one was working but her. "I didn't get her name, maybe I'll get it later… She was cute." Lavender grew a small plant around her hand and started to talk to it. "Do you think she likes me? Or at least thinks I'm cute too?"
Raven sighed before hearing a soft mewl from her bag. She looks down at the small kitten. "I know baby. Hang on. It'll be a few moments." She chuckles quietly and pets the top of Liliths fur.
The plant curled around Lavendar's hands before she placed it on the counter, grabbing a small mug she had brought in just to put plants in. "I think the cookies are done now." She muttered, checking the oven and pulling out a tray of cookies.
She sighs softly and hums as she runs a hand through Lilith's fur and smiled a bit as she did so. She sighed softly and looked around, glad it was quiet in the cafe.
Lavender came back with a plate full of cookies and a smile. "I'm sorry for the wait, but hey! Becuase of the wait you get another cookie free!"
"Ah, thank you." Raven smiles kindly. "You really didn't have to do that." She takes the cookies, offering one to her kitten before looking back up and smiling a little bit. "But thank you." He whispers softly.
