"Ah, I see… but I usually open the door to anyone, there isn't a peephole on my door." Evangeline put all of her snacks away but kept a few. She sat on a stool by her counter and started eating some. "Oh! Do you want some? I have plenty."
"Oh, no," Phoebe said. "I'm really tired, I should get some sleep."
Evangeline nodded. "Mk, I'll leave you to it then… I'll be in my room if you need me." With that, she took some of her snacks and went to her room."
Phoebe sighed, watching her go. Sure, she'd love to spend time with Evangeline, but she has a comedy show that night. She needs sleep.
After about 10 minutes, Evangeline emerged from her room and quietly snuck into the kitchen to put her snacks away. She peeked over to see if Phoebe was asleep or not, then quickly went back to her room.
Phoebe was only half asleep. She was so over-tired, and she kept tossing and turning on the couch. This wasn't normal for her: she would typically fall asleep quite quickly.
Evangeline felt really bad about leaving Phoebe to sleep on the couch, alone. Once again, she snuck out of her room, this time going to the living room. She lowered her voice to a whisper, "Hey… are you awake?"
She woke up quickly, only having fallen asleep a little bit. Her sight was a little bit blurry but then it cleared. "Huh, yeah, I am."
"Okay… I don't know if that's good or bad, but I just felt really bad about leaving you out here alone… If you would like, you can sleep in my bed… and I can sleep on the couch." Evangeline smiled, even though it was too dark to really see even her silhouette.
"No, it's fine. I'm just overtired. I worked late, so I just need a bit of sleep. I'm fine, really. Don't worry about me. Go back to bed."
"Are you sure? I would be happy to help you sleep better."
"No, honestly I'm fine. I have a lot of sleepless nights, I guess it just comes with the trade. I have fallen asleep on a rock solid metal chair before, I can handle a couch."
"Okay, if you say so…" Evangeline went back to her room and plopped onto her bed. After a few minutes, she fell asleep.
(Time skip??)
(Just the morning I guess?)
(do you wanna do it? i feel like id mess it up)
(Lol yeah)
At exactly 7:15 in the morning, Evangeline's alarm went off. She quickly got up to turn it off before Phoebe could hear it. Fully awake, Evangeline got dressed and went into the kitchen as quietly as possible to make breakfast.
Phoebe was on the couch, laptop in front of her. She'd had a few hours of sleep, but her body made her wake up. So, she had decided to do stuff on her laptop.
Evangeline was trying to make fried eggs as quietly as possible, still thinking Phoebe was asleep, but she was failing pretty badly. There were faint yelps if there was ever a loud noise.
Phoebe barely acknowledged Evangeline in the kitchen, too intrigued by her laptop. Sometimes, she would be off in her own little world.
After 10 more minutes of the same thing, Evangeline finished making breakfast. She took the food to the table and set it. She slowly made her way to the living room, still making sure she was quiet. Once she got there she was surprised. "Wait you're already awake?!"
"Hmm?" Phoebe muttered, looking up. "Yeah, I've been up for an hour or so."
"Awe man, I was so concerned about not waking you up… but I made breakfast for us and it's ready!" Evangeline smiled at Phoebe.
Phoebe flashed a small smile in return, not really knowing how to react. "Thanks," She said. I guess, she added in her head.
"You're welcome! The dining room is over here." Evangeline pointed to the dining room.
