Shin lifted up the brim of his hat again and laughed nervously. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just… seeing the ocean kinda… Nevermind," he began but immediately decided he was going to change the topic before he started discussing his thalassophobia with anyone. He hasn't told anyone but his dad about this fear- and he planned to keep it that way. "Just do what you gotta do. I don't mind." Shin was still refusing to look at the water.
James noticed this but said nothing about it. He took Shin's hand and led him to a mural. It was filled with flowers of all different colors, "Do you like it? One day the manager found me drawing and being nosy she asked me to show her. Now she's like the only friend I have. She asked me to paint this for her last month."
"It's- It's really nice," he said, trying his best to hide the blush on his face resulting from James grabbing his hand. His smile returned again and he just kinda stared at the mural. "Not gonna lie, I wish I could do something like this. I envy you, you know?" Shin then regained eye contact with the other, the fear that was in his eyes vanishing out of view. Mostly because Shin broke the eye contact yet again, taking another look at the mural.
