As Aerin continued to walk about the city, she got a few nasty looks from some strangers. She had gotten used to this, but even so, it still made her feel a little… upset. She didn't normally let these looks get her riled up, but now more than ever, it grew onward to be more and more of a bother.
She grumbled at the people staring at her, and she continued walking on. This was the best initiative that she could take, so she went and took it. No point in wasting the opportunity, right? That aside, all Aerin could think about was going back down to the farm. She didn't particularly like the city. And so, she turned right on around and began heading back to her home.
Lori gave a small wave to the clerk that had helped her load some of the large bags into her truck and headed over to the little coffee shop around the corner. She wasn't really tired anymore but having a good warm cup of coffee would help her get through the rest of the morning.
The young woman paid no attention to the early gossipy small talk from other commuters walking around. It wasn't any of her business. Besides, she’d heard worse to her face while she was in school. With a small sigh, she shook her head and kept turned to the shop… only to bump into someone she hadn't seen.
