Asher hummed softly before shaking his head even though she couldn't see, "Na, your only way down is the fire escape."
"Perfect," she growled, throwing herself over the edge and swinging down to the next story. She continued her decent as fast as she could, her muscles tense as she waited for the next fight.
Asher chewed his lip, "You've got more on their way, by the time you reach the ground they'll be there, too. There's five of them."
She hoisted herself down to the second floor fire escape, giving herself a few moments to let her arms rest. "Five, huh? That's not terrible." She grinned recklessly.
Asher sighed, "There's more on the way, so I'd hurry." He mumbled, picking up his ball and throwing it against the wall.
With a nod, she reloaded her gun and threw herself onto the ground. The five security guards turned and opened fire, but she took refuge behind the ladder of the fire escape. She fired her own weapon, taking out one of them easily. "I'm under a lot of fire," she shouted above the spray of bullets. "Can you divert their attention somehow for literally a second?"
"Yeah, gimme a moment," Asher went back to his computer, quickly activating a remote drone. HE flew it over as quick as he could, letting the drone make some loud, siren noises in the opposite direction to where she was.
The spray of bullets lessened slightly, and only for a moment, but it was enough time for TK to enact her plan. She grabbed the side of the ladder and spun herself in the air, her legs flying out and kicking the closest guard in the face. She let go, landing on him, and jammed her elbow into his nose. Jumping to her feet, she flipped nimbly towards the next one, jumping onto him and latching her thighs around his neck. As he spun around, trying to pry her off, she fired at the remaining guards. Spinning around, she choked him out, and he crumpled to the ground. "Where's my getaway car?" she demanded, jogging towards the street.
“There’s a street coming up on your left, it’s down there a little.” He replied, unlocking the car remotely.
She nodded, breaking into a sprint and hurrying down the street. The car was nondescript, a perfect getaway car. "On my way back," she said, swinging herself into the car and gunning it down the street.
“Dope, hurry back.” Asher sighed, lifting the microphone on his headset to rub at his face. They’d actually managed to do it with little conflict with each other.
"Also, I'm kind of bleeding," she said, driving with her good hand. Her shoulder burned and throbbed periodically, and blood was seeping through her clothes. "Let my friend down in the med bay know –his name is August."
"Shit, will do." Asher quickly contacted the med bay, asking for some guy called August that new TK. It didn't take long to contact him and tell him his friend was on the way.
She pulled up to the headquarters and stumbled out, grabbing her bag. "I'm bringing the files to the med bay," she said into her ear piece. "Come get it."
"On my way." He replied, grabbing his laptop bag and rushing out his little room. He skidded down the halls and towards the med bay.
TK made her way to the med bay, where August met her at the door. His impassive expression both annoyed her and put her at ease. "Is this wound a result of something stupid?" he asked, steering her to a bed and sitting her down.
"No, asshole," she shot back, wincing as she shimmied out of her shirt. "Successful mission."
Ash cane rubbing through the doors, nearly dropping his laptop in the process and stopping by the bed, “Gimme the USB.”
"Not even a 'are you alright TK?' or a 'how's your wound, TK?'" she muttered, tossing the USB in his direction. "There are the files, computer boy."
Ash caught the usb, mumbling something under his breath that sounded like he was asking if she was okay but he needed to get to these files. He opened his laptop, quickly plugging in the usb.
"God, what's so important about those files anyway?" She leaned over, peering at the laptop over his shoulder. August protested, telling her to keep still, but she ignored him. "We make a good team, c'mon. Lemme see."
Ash turned the laptop more towards TK so she could see, still typing away furiously, "Why the hell does everything have to be coded these days…" He mumbled.
"That's your job, isn't it?" she said, still glaring at the screen. "Decode faster, I'm so curious."
“I’m trying, it complex, okay?” He chewed his bottom lip, seemingly typing even faster if it was humanly possible.
TK rolled her eyes. "Whatever. It's –ouch, watch it," she turned a glare towards August, who had started stitching up her wound.
After a moment, Ash grinned triumphantly, pulling up the decoded files, "Boom! Files cracked, you're welcome."
