Rolling his eyes Ashton kicked Alexander in the stomach and shoved him down onto the ground. He turned around and faced her, taking a moment to flick his cigarette to the ground as well. "Aw that's too bad, we have all the time in the world too." A few of the men around them snickered at his words. "It's not like the police will want to bother with the Silver dragons anyways." His eyes flashed with his words. "And it's not everyday some cute girl happens to walk by when I get challenged by a rival." Sure Ashton could get any girl or guy he wanted, but there was just no person that interested him. Until now at least. Although, he could tell she was lying about her family.
Vivian flinches when she sees the man get punched and then shoved to the ground. Oh, no. Leave it to her to get mixed in with a gang. "Please leave me alone. I don't want to get involved in any of this, I just want to go home." All she wants to do is go home. She takes a few more steps back before turning and starting to walk away as quickly as possible without actually running. As long as she gets to a public place she should be okay. She desperately looks around for any other people that she can hide behind. It's not the best strategy in the world but it's not as though she has very many options. Now is when she really starts to regret not taking Cavall with her to class. No one would mess with her then.
Smirking Ashton whistled at the two boys who had brought her to him and they nodded towards him. Silently walking through the crowds they blended in with the people but keeping up pace with where she was going. She didn't really think she was going to just walk in like that? Ashton and the remainder of his guys started walking away from the beaten Alexander and his boys. They walked in the crowds as well and kept watch of the two men who followed the girl. The two were in steady pace with her steps and made sure she was in complete view.
Vivian pauses just long enough to peel off her scandals. While she may not be very strong, she is pretty fast and nimble. Three years of track and field in high school proves that. She glances over her shoulder briefly to make sure that the coast is clear before taking off like a shot, keeping her books pressed up against her chest as she weaves through the crowd. A few minutes later, she arrives at her apartment building. Keeping her pace urgent, she pulls out her keys and bursts into her apartment. She doesn't hesitate to slam the door shut and lock it behind her. Cavall, her big mastiff, comes barreling over to her, beyond excited that she's home.
The two men who had been following her nearly lost track of where she had been going had it not been for her red hair. They and Ashton who had been watching from afar had been surprised at how fast and nimble she was. Sitting down on a car hood down the street from where her apartment building lay, Ashton threw a phone at them. Nodding in understanding they walked down and stopped in front of her building and took a picture of its address. Walking back to him they handed him the phone and he looked at the picture, smirking. You are one, interesting girl.
Vivian leans heavily against the door, her heart racing in her chest. Today turned out to be a whole lot more interesting than she had originally thought it would be. She was just supposed to attend her classes and then go home, not get caught up with whatever that was. She checks to make sure that the door is locked one more time before she drops her books on the couch and wanders over to the window. Lifting up the blinds slightly, she peers out and looks around for the men who had been chasing her. Cavall, still wanting attention, nudges her legs with his large head. “Sorry, baby,” She says softly before closing the blind and wrapping her teddy bear of a dog in a big hug.
Ashton and his men lingered a few more minutes before disappearing into the crowds again. Walking up to where they lived, just down the road from campus, they entered slowly. While the other men headed to their own rooms, Ashton stayed in the lounge. He pulled up his phone and looked at the picture his men took of the strange girl's apartment building. Tilting his head he chuckled to himself and went upstairs to lay down in his own room. Every time he and his boys got into fights he liked to have his alone time, but thoughts of the strange girl still plagued his mind. Who might you be?
Vivian showers Cavall with affection, her body trembling lightly. That had been a terrifying experience. She waits for a few minutes before looking out the window once more. There's no sign of the men from earlier. Breathing a sigh of relief, she takes Cavall's leash off of it's peg and clips it onto his leash. She makes certain that she has the 9 and the 1 already dialed on her phone before she exits the apartment, the Mastiff at her side. As much as she would love to skip their daily walk, it's not fair to Cavall. The dog spends a good chunk of the day in the apartment building and looks forward to his walks. She heads down the sidewalk and hums a song quietly. Just having the massive dog beside her makes her feel safer.
Ashton had left his room and went out quietly for a walk. The other men had been to busy partying to notice him slip out of the house. Walking down the streets he observed the settings. There weren't many people who were walking around, just a few dog walkers here and there but that was it. It surprised him that there were any people who walked around where he was, considering it was known as gang territory, but he guessed they just didn't know that. He continued walking silently.
Vivian continues to hum happily as she and Cavall stroll along the sidewalk. The two soon reach a large park. “Okay, baby, go play.” She unclips his leash and sends him off to go run. Many people are intimidated by the dog but he’s perfectly well trained and wouldn’t hurt a fly unless provoked. She watches him for a moment before taking a seat on a bench and setting his leash down on her lap. She sighs contently and pulls a small camera out of her bag. Photography is a hobby of hers, even if she’s not that great at it. With a soft smile on her face, she snaps a few pictures of the frolicking Mastiff.
Spotting a park nearby, Ashton smiled softly and walked to it. Parks were an interesting place for him to be. Walking down the sidewalks that were in it, he looked so out of place with his silver clothes and tattoos all over his arms. His hair blew slightly to the side as a soft wind came in. Sighing he continued walking around. He planned to be here for at least another 30 minutes before he headed back. It was calm and peaceful here and sometimes he needed that instead of being somewhere where he had to be cold, or flirtatious. Passing by the dog part of the park he made sure to look down so he wouldn't be caught up in of the dog's cuteness.
"Cavall!" Vivian calls out, clapping her hands. "Leave that squirrel alone!" For some reason, the dog just has it out for all cute woodland creature. She's lucky that he hasn't managed to kill one as of yet. The Mastiff barks and wags his tail before going back to sniffing around. She laughs quietly before leaning back against the bench and putting the camera back in her bag. Keeping one eye on Cavall, she works on a few sketches for her bakery. The floorplan has been approved by a contractor so all that's left planning wise is the interior design. She still needs to get the money to actually get the business started. It's a long shot but she desperately wants it. She hopes that owning a successful business will help her family see that she's not a screw up. They'll always been disappointed in her career choice but she's hopeful that they'll stop disowning her for it.
(Sorry! I was busy with a bunch of school work -_-, i'll get working on the reply!)
(It's all good. School is no fun!)
Lifting his head up, Ashton could have sworn he heard the familiar voice of the girl from earlier. It's probably someone who just sounds like her, I don't think she would want to leave her house after what happened. He chuckled to himself after thinking of what had happened earlier. The girl was a mystery, that gave him an interest in her. Over the years of being in his gang, he had come to know varities of people. Although she had been different. Who are you mystery girl. Still looking down he walked over to a tree and leaned against it. It was comforting.
Someone's small Yorkie Terrier comes trotting over to her, curious. "Hello, cutie," Vivian smiles and kneels down to pet the dog. "Where's your owner?" Picking the pup up, she inspects his tag. "Okay, Prince, let's get you to your mommy." Looking around, she tries to spot someone with a leash that looks like it would fit the dog's collar. She continuously checks on Cavall but he seems to be doing good on his own. "Excuse me, sir? Do you happen to now who this dog belongs to?" She approaches a tall man with shaggy blonde hair and a sweet looking Golden Retriever. "Oh, Prince belongs to Mrs. Gertrude. She's the older lady by the oak tree," The man informs her, pointing in the correct direction. She politely thanks him before heading over to the woman to reunite her with her dog.
(Sorry for not replying! I'm the worst at that)
Ashton had just been minding his business when a old woman had wandered over to help looking scared. "Excuse me young man, but I think my dog Prince wandered off and I can't find him." The old woman was small and frail, he couldn't help but feel bad for her. He always had a soft spot for old people since they were respected highly in his gang. "Oh jeez, do you think he might have just walked up to someone he may have recognized?" He asked kindly. "I'm not sure, he always has been a very social dog, he's a Yorkie Terrier, and i'm Mrs.Gertrude if that helps." She says with still slight fear of where her dog is. "Well i'm Ashton, and Mrs.Gertrude I think someone already found him." He pointed towards Vivian who was carrying the dog, not recognizing who she was at first.
(It’s fine!)
Vivian approaches the little old woman, a polite smile on her face. “Excuse me, ma’am? I think that I found your dog. Are you Mrs. Gertrude?” The small dog is currently tucked in her arms but gets incredibly excited when he sees his owner. She smiles and sets the dog down, watching as he runs over to the woman. That’s when she notices the man. Her entire body tenses up. She takes a few steps back. “I need to go now.” There’s no way she’s sticking around with that awful man there. She pulls her dog’s leash out of her pocket and turns around quickly to leave.
"Oh wait dear! Let me thank you properly!" Mrs. Gertrude said quickly while picking up her dog. Ashton's first thought was to walk off and stay away from the strange girl from before, but it felt rude to the little old woman that was to the side of him. After all she had looked so afraid of what had happened to her dog and had walked up to a gang member for help, how could he do that? "This here is the young man who was helping me look for my little sweetheart here," She gestured towards her dog that was in her arm. "I would just like to say thank you to the both of you for helping such a old woman like myself, may I trouble you for your names in case we see each other again?" Mrs. Gertrude said sweetly. "Ashton m'am." Ashton had answered to her. They both looked at the girl for her response.
Vivian's heart sinks when that sweet little old lady decides to be even more nice. Leaving now would be rude. She sighs quietly and shifts around. "My name is Vivian," She politely introduces herself. A deep bark coming from behind her catches her attention. A large massive lumbers over, his tail wagging lazily. She smiles and reaches down to pet his head. "Hey, Cavall." Pulling the leash out of her jacket, she clips it onto his collar. "I really do need to be going now, Cavall here needs his supper." It's an excuse to leave but a valid one. She offers a smile as she very lightly tugs at her dog's collar to tell him that it's time to go.
(Sorry! I'm at the beach and the wifi is all sorts of wonky!)
(I'm back! Sorry that I haven't gotten on sooner, things were insane for these last few days.)
