Marcus huffed, chewing on the inside of his cheek. “If we don’t settle this now I’m afraid we’ll both end up with the bed. “He said smoothly, running his fingers through Firiko’s feathers. “Ok so let’s save that argument until later. How about we get to know each other more? So it’s not as awkward.”
Firiko stiffened a little at the casual touch, knowing full well that his wings could be sensitive to any touch but his. "O-Okay…" he said, still nervous as he carefully pulled his knees to his chest, a position that was more natural to him than defensive.
Marcus noted the change in demeanor and pulled his hand back into his chest. He’d only touch the other if the time was right. “Alright so… where do you want to start Firiko?” He asked, moving to the kitchen area to get himself a cup of water. “Would you like water? Food? I have left overs we could warm.”
"I'm good, thanks.." he said, relaxing a little as he looked around the other's apartment.
(I may be a bit slow at times because my family is going out for the evening.)
(Ah it’s fine! I have work in two hours)
“Mm, you sure?” He asked, blinking. He didn’t feel all that hungry either, but it was worth a try to get to talk to his soulmate.
It was surreal. The man he was going to love and live with for the rest of his life was sitting on his couch, looking around his dusty, plain apartment.
"Yeah I'm sure" he said, his good wing coccooning around him out of instinct. He was used to perching in trees, so this position was natural. Had he been on a high up ledge or branch he would've been able to dive forward at any instance, and launch into a flight position.
(Ah! Good to know!)
“Ah, Ok.” He downed his cup of water, gasping for air afterwords. “Uhm… where are you from?”
"The Primal Forest, east of here…" he said, hoping the other wouldn't think he was cursed because of the area's reputation for being dangerous and cursed.
His eyes widened. “Really!? What’s it like?” He had lost many a gang member to the forest’s creatures. Some said it was cursed. He believed so as well, but Firiko was his soulmate. He wouldn’t kill him right?
"It can be just as bad as the rumors, but if yoh know how to live there It's actually really peaceful" he said, happy the other hadn't freaked in a bad way. "Though I do know the main rumor isn't true, the Primal isn't cursed, it is named exactly for what it is."
“Primal.” He leaned against the counter and sighed softly, rubbing one of the burn marks on his arm. It ached but he didn’t pay much mind to it. “That would make more sense.” He sighed sadly. “Wanna toss me my shirt? I’m still half naked and I’m not sure if we’re ready for that type of relationship yet.” He said with a nervous laugh.
"Hey, I'm kinda stuck without one at the moment, and I'm not ruining one of uours so I'm sure you can live without.." he said goodnaturedly.
“Ah I can always get a new one, don’t worry about it.” He murmured, smiling sweetly. He perked up, moving to a door next to the kitchen area. Behind the door was a closet filled with blankets and towels and what looked like a bunch of old, bloodied weapons. “Here,” He said, pulling a blanket out. Marcus walked to Firiko and draped the blanket over the other’s wings and shoulders. “It gets cold, keep warm.”
Firiko looked up at him, blushing, "Thanks…" he said, unsure of what else to do. Studying the other for a moment his fingers distractedly tangled in the chain of his amulet, fingering the gem.
Marcus tilted his head, joining the other on the couch. “What’s that? It’s pretty.” He asked softly, tilting his head and smiling sweetly.
"My wolf Amulet…" said Firiko, gripping the chain a little out of instinct. This was one of the few signs of what he really was, aside from his unusual hair color.
He had heard stories of the race of wolves but never actually met one. “Are you part Wolf?!” He grinned happily.
"Half Solaris…" said Firiko, a little off guard by the other's excitement.
“Ah! That’s amazing!” He said happily, gently taking Firiko’s hands in his. “Do you have another form?! I’ve heard most have!”
(Ps I’m at work now and I won’t be back till 10 pm MDT :/ ill have to reply later tonight and then we can continue tomorrow.)
(Cool, see ya! Btw I love this Rp!)
“Ah! That’s amazing!” He said happily, gently taking Firiko’s hands in his. “Do you have another form?! I’ve heard most have!”
Firiko looked up at him carefully, "Yeah.. a half wolf has two forms, Wolf, and human…" he said, "And yes, I can shift to Wolf form…"
