Bryn snorted and inched closer until he was right in front of Zack again. He held out a hand to pull him off the counter. "You picked a really shitty spot to take a nap. Just kick me off the couch if you need to sleep, we both know you've got no qualms about hurting me."
(Zack's on the counter)
Zack glared up at him and shook his head. "No, I'm fine. I just dozed off because I got bored." He shielded himself with his wings and grabbed noodles, plopping them into the water and turning down the heat.
(Sorry!)
"Y'know you're still hiding in your wings, right?" Bryn followed him over to the stove, hovering a few paces to the left. "I can make the damn spaghetti, go lay down or something. You're acting more broody than normal and it's wigging me out."
"Yeah, whatever." He cuddled up into his wings again, glaring at him. "I'm just cold and I fell asleep. There's nothing wrong with that, is there?" He quizzed, baring his teeth again. He didn't want to be mean, but he had to.
Bryn glared up at him, seemingly unimpressed, and shouldered him out of the way until Bryn was the one in front of the pot and Zack was trailing off to the side. "You're being a fucking bitch, go take a nap and calm your tits. My bedroom locks from the inside, sleep in there if you're so worried I'll do something. I'll bring you the food when it's ready."
Zack thrust the Human away almost easily, snarling faintly and baring his teeth at him. Zack was as stubborn as they came and it sort of showed.
“How about you stop fucking insulting me and just go sit and be the little shit you are, eh?” He snapped back, his eyes gleaming with anger.
Bryn stumbled, clearly not expecting to be pushed, and glared back with a look that started off angry and then just got frustrated. "Oh my god, I'm sorry I even try with you! I'll just fucking stop since I'm clearly such an inconvenience." He stormed into his bedroom, not really sure why he was so upset, and collapsed onto the bed.
Zack growled angrily after him, sitting up onto the counter again. Maybe he should just spit into the food to inconvenience him. Yeah, and that Human was a fucking ass. Not thanking him at all for anything. Just bitching the entire time and trying to get in the way.
Bryn curled up on the bed and tried to figure out why he always acted like such an ass when Zack was around. Either Zack was just magically annoying because he was a demon, or Bryn had a crush. He didn't know which was more likely, but… he hadn't had a crush in years! Why did one have to rear its ugly head now with Zack of all people? "Oh, fuck my life!"
Zack growled faintly to himself and licked his lips angrily, clicking his teeth to himself, pressing his arms against his chest. He stirred the noodles without a lot of care, still growling and clicking his teeth. He was going to be as angry and pissy as he wanted. This ungrateful ass.
By the time the noodles were ready, Bryn had rolled himself up into a blanket burrito of pissiness and he wasn't coming unrolled any time soon. He was watching something dumb on his phone and trying to pretend he wasn't panicking over how to deal with Zack.
Zack strained the noodles and threw the sauce on to boil at a low temperature in the still-warm pot of the noodles, going into the living room and throwing off his pants, curling up in the blanket the Human abandoned.
About an hour later he was asleep, with one of his long, sleek legs poking out of the blanket, snoring softly.
(Low heat man it wouldn’t do that bb. The only thing the noodles would do is just go softer.)
(sry, i'm absolute shit at cooking so my knowledge is pretty limited. i'll write up a new one.)
Bryn ventured out of his room after half an hour or so of agonizing about what he was going to do. He decided to try and tamp down the bitchiness and pretend like he hadn't realized what he felt about Zack. It was a decision that lasted all of two seconds because as soon as he saw Zack's bare leg he got the sudden urge to shout obscenities at the sky. Did he really have to sleep without pants on!?
Zack was comfortable in his own skin and there was nothing wrong with that. The Demon cooed softly in his sleep between soft snores, his foot twitching a little. He looked peaceful and happy, which was pretty rare for Zack if the Human couldn’t tell on his first day with the Human.
Bryn bit his tongue as he watched Zack coo and move around and do all this cute shit, almost certain that this was a punishment from god or something like that. How was he supposed to ignore his feelings when Zack was all sweet looking and content?
His foot twitched and his blanket fell open more, revealing more skin. The cold air under the blanket brushed his legs and other nice places. Content took over his sleeping form and he looked too peaceful to disturb.
Oh fuck, this was just hell, wasn't it? Bryn took a deep breath before he walked over to Zack, pausing for a second to smile at the look on his face. Then, once he realized what a fucking creep he was being for perving on someone who was asleep, he shoved the blanket back over his legs and prayed Zack wouldn't wake up.
Zack twitched when the blanket was moved and he sat up quickly, kicking the Human away slightly, baring his teeth and giving a furious growl, the peace on his face gone completely. He curled up into the blanket, clicking his teeth.
“What are you doing, creep?”
"Preserving your modesty," Bryn snapped, cursing himself for jinxing everything and god for orchestrating this whole dumb situation. And now he was being bitchy too! Fuck. "You were showing your boxers off to the neighbors so I decided to tuck you in."
“Fuck you! You stand over me and look like a creep before you did?” He clicked his teeth and cuddled away, wrapping the blanket around him tightly, growling deeply.
"You were smiling, I had to make sure it wasn't some kind of clone from an alternate universe." Bryn rubbed a hand over his face, wishing he'd just stayed holed up in his room until he fell asleep. "Also stop using 'creep', it's getting old."
“Well I’m sorry you fucking creeped me out you fucker! How about you just leave me alone?” He stood and walked out of the living room and into the extra room next to the bathroom, slamming the door.
